Image permission problem with Image:Amal-hijazi.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Amal-hijazi.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 18:03, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Twilight articles

[edit]

Hey there! I wanted to tell you that you've been doing a great job adding to the Twilight articles. I received your email about the Stephenie Meyer page, and I'm sure you've noticed that I have made some changes to your additions. Let me know if you have any questions about anything I have changed or removed. Keep up the good work! Andrea (talk) 20:28, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sword of Truth Series/Taskforce

[edit]

You seem like the type of person that would like the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Have you read them? In my personal opinion, some people don't disagree, they are definitely well beyond the quality of most contemporary fantasy, and perhaps challenge J.R.R. Tolkien, though they are not THAT good. If you read them, consider joining the Sword of Truth task force. SADADS (talk) 12:28, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Stephenie Meyer

[edit]

Ok, well then you would need to include that article as a reference if you are going to say that she lives in Cave Creek. However, seeing as that was written in 2007 and the source being used in the article right now (this one) that says she lives in Scottsdale was written yesterday, I'm more inclined to believe the latter. Since there is a discrepancy, we should probably go with the most recent article. Andrea (talk) 16:08, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm that makes things more tricky. I guess we should try finding more sources that say what city she lives in, and go with the one that is stated more often. Andrea (talk) 00:31, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Twilight series: Social impacts?

[edit]

I'm not sure that you could say Twilight has impacted society just because celebrities like it. The article has already established in depth that the series has a large fan base, and that some of those fans are famous people isn't necessarily worth noting. At least, not in its own section; maybe listing off a few celebs who like it, like how we included Obama, would be fine, but I wouldn't add more than another sentence on the topic (and it should probably be moved to the "The Twilight Phenomenon" section). The critical reception section should remain focused on comments made by professional critics; "famous people" like Stephen King are exception, since he is a writer and can therefore be considered some sort of authority when discussing literature. I don't see how actors or musicians would also fit into this category. Also, you should note that the article you found is mainly (or completely?) discussing the film, whereas the Twilight (series) article is based on the novels. Andrea (talk) 00:41, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good! I removed the Shakira bit, since that was also focusing on the film and made no mention of the books. Andrea (talk) 16:12, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You do not have a license on this file. Please upload it to the Commons under a free license. Otherwise, we have no reason to keep this file. ς ح д r خ є 22:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thanks

[edit]

Hi! You're welcome, and I'm glad you didn't mind my changes. I also changed some of your additions to the reception section today. Personally, I think it's feeling a bit biased with so many positive reviews, and I left my comments on this matter on the article's talk page. I also had to remove a few reviews because they weren't notable. Thanks for all of the work you've been contributing the article! Andrea (talk) 18:45, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: The user Manticore55, again

[edit]

There's no reason to contact Wikipedia about this. Everyone just has a different opinion on what should be included in the article, but that doesn't make anybody wrong. What is wrong, however, is everyone just reverting the others' changes back and forth. Everything is verging on an edit war, when instead everybody should be civilly discussing the matter on the article's talk page. I readded the third opinion request, because it seems like we need more people's opinions to settle this issue. Andrea (talk) 17:17, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits are being discussed at the Edit Warring Noticeboard. Please respond!

[edit]

Hello Mo HH92. Please see WP:AN3#User:Mo HH92 reported by User:Manticore55 (Result: ). You seem to be taking out a well-sourced criticism section, and there was some funny business about the 3O template. This really needs to settle down soon. You should wait to get consensus on the article talk page if any changes become the subject of reverting. If you reply at the noticeboard, you may be able to avoid sanctions. ⚠

Thanks for uploading File:New moon books=-.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Pride a pr modern ed.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 21:53, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Well as you said, Summit hasn't released too much info about Eclipse yet, so I'm not sure what else we could add to the article. Except maybe that the trailer will debut with Remember Me, if there is a notable source for it. Andrea (talk) 19:31, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Twilight

[edit]

Actually I haven't watch any of the films or read the books so, I'm not really a fan and am clueless about it. Re: Recent changes on the Twilight series article

[edit]

I still edit Twilight articles everyday! I agree with you that most of the newly added information to Twilight (series) was moreso related to the film franchise, and so does not belong in an article about the book series. Andrea (talk) 00:34, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TwiHards

[edit]

Hullo! I am working on a new page for TwiHards.. I believe it (they?) is/are notable, there is a lot to say, and lots of sources.. Currently I am just editing my sandbox page and working on the article from there... If you could look at it and give me some pointers, as I am not really a fan of Twilight, and I don't know all it should entail. The link to the page is here.. as you will see, I haven't written much yet!.. Thanks in advance! Have a lovely day...--TaylorLanebore me 18:40, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Replaceable fair use File:The twilight saga hardback.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The twilight saga hardback.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 23:44, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Twilight saga poster 1.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Twilight saga poster 1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
