Article about you

Are you in fact Moriba Jah? Sometimes there is a concern when an account name matches the name of a real, notable person. We like to be certain that someone is not impersonating them. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:42, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Moriba Jah

[edit]

Yes, what’s wrong? Moribajah (talk) 01:49, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As noted above, we want to make sure you are not being impersonated. Please follow the instructions at WP:REALNAME to help confirm your identity. 331dot (talk) 16:08, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No one is impersonating me as far as I can tell. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moribajah (talkcontribs)

Typically, an impersonator will not claim to be an impersonator. I would strongly advise you to do as I suggest above. 331dot (talk) 00:06, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Are you suggesting that I change my username? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moribajah (talkcontribs)

Not unless you are not Moriba Jah. If you are Moriba Jah, I am suggesting that you read WP:REALNAME and follow the instructions given: "You are welcome to use your real name, but in some cases, you will need to prove that you are who you say you are. You can do this by sending an email to info-en@wikimedia.org. Be aware that emails are handled by a volunteer response team and that it may take a while before you receive a reply." We have no way to know that the person sitting at the computer is who they claim they are otherwise. 331dot (talk) 09:40, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I’m fairly confused and don’t have much bandwidth to properly interpret all the content at the link you provided. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moribajah (talkcontribs)

All you need to do is follow the instructions I copied above. 331dot (talk) 09:08, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: I am the OTRS volunteer who responded to Moriba Jah's email (VRTS ticket # 2020031310000601). Based on the return email address and other information given, I am satisfied that he is the same Moriba Jah on whom we have an article. ~Anachronist (talk) 03:00, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, you were mentioned at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Moriba Jah. Otr500 (talk) 01:36, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t see one Moribajah (talk) 03:37, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The conversation is already archived, here: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard/Archive 151#Moriba Jah. Because it is an old discussion that is now archived, there is no need for you to respond.
There is a need, however, for you to review our guidelines on conflict of interest, which you definitely have here. Please see WP:COI.
In a nutshell: Do not write about yourself on Wikipedia.
If you want to change the article about you, propose your changes on the article's talk page. ~Anachronist (talk) 03:04, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 09:15, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
