Regarding the article, "Jeremy Cloward"

Dear Harej,

The article I wrote about "Jeremy Cloward" was deleted recently because you said that his works were self-published. The book that I noted that he wrote is not self-published. It is published by Lambert Academic Publishing. The article that he wrote that I mentioned, "State, Class, and False Consciousness, in the American Working Class," was published by a respected progressive academic source known as Project Censored. Project Censored is noted in Wikipedia.

Other sources that were cited included, among others, the League of Women Voters and Politico - both legitimate 3rd party sources.

There is a couple of citations in the article that link back to his website - a practice that I have seen before. IF THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED OR DELETED I CAN EASILY DO SO.

I am writing to ask if you will please re-post the article so I can edit these items out if that is the problem.

Thank you,

Chesterton high school page

Go ahead and delete te blank sections. I thought I could leave them as ideas/writing for other contributors. But being this is the first article I worked on, I guess I was wrong. Well, delete away! An thanks for messaging me about it - otherwise I would not have known.

Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 3321 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.

PS: we have a great AFC helper script at WP:AFCH!

Re: A page you started has been reviewed!

Michael, I had created the "Mineke" page due to the similarity between the spelling of Mineke and Meineke. I had had links to both Mineke Schipper and the Meineke page. Is this not an acceptable page? Should I have put one of those "for ____, see ___" at the top of the Mineke Schipper page instead?

Thanks for creating Mineke, Num1dgen!

Wikipedia editor Michaelzeng7 just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Hey, I noticed you created the disambiguation page Mineke. Because it only contained one article, I redirected it to that article. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in on my talk page. Thanks!

Num1dgen (talk) 22:59, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

Re:Re: A page you started has been reviewed!

Thanks for the help! I put the hat tag

at the top of the Mineke Schipper page.

Yes, in my opinion, one of those for ___, see ___ would probably have been more appropriate. Disambiguation pages are merely a list of "Did you mean..." links to clear ambiguity of one word having two definitions, for example: Apple (disambiguation) could mean the fruit or the software company, as well as many people, places and musical albums. So a disambiguation page pointing to one page, regardless if there is anything else below it, doesn't reflect the true purpose of disambiguation. A hatnote would be better. See Wikipedia:Hatnote and Wikipedia:Disambiguation for more information. To set a hatnote, you can use various templates depending on how you want it to happen. Michaelzeng7 (talk) 01:17, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

P.S. I didn't even know that they were called "Hattags." Good to know. Num1dgen (talk) 01:36, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Kiran Karnik

Hello Michaelzeng7. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Kiran Karnik, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article has been edited since it was tagged and is no longer a copyvio. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 04:25, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Hot Cat discussion at VPP

Thank you for your interest in the discussion at Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#Proposal:_enable_HotCat_for_all_editors_by_default. Please note that I have now proposed 5 different, more nuanced versions of the original suggestion, to better gauge to what level (if any) we are willing to make Hot Cat more accessible. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 16:39, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
