The article Elham Asghari has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Way2veers 07:14, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contests[edit]

User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:34, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Vitaly Shishov[edit]

On 2 September 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Vitaly Shishov, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Belarusian activist Vitaly Shishov, the head of an organisation helping people escape repression following the 2020–2021 Belarusian protests, was aware of risks to his life before he was found dead? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Vitaly Shishov. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Vitaly Shishov), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
