You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nader Shakhshir requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DoriTalkContribs 03:51, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Nader Shakhshir

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Nader Shakhshir. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 05:18, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Nader Shakhshir. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 05:19, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

March 2012

[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself, as you did at Nader Shakhshir. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. DoriTalkContribs 05:45, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Nader Raghid Shakhshir. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. CanuckMy page89 (talk), 09:55, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article(s) you've created

[edit]

Hi NaderShakshir, I'm Qwyrxian, and I'm an administrator here at Wikipedia. I see that you've tried several times to create an article about yourself. Unforutantely, it really looks like you do not meet the requirements for a Wikipedia article. In order to be the subject of a WP article, a person must have been discussed in detail in multiple, independent reliable sources. That means things like major (state/national) newspapers, television news programs, books, etc. Acquiring a few local awards for photography contests is not sufficient. I have declined your submission to AfC. Maybe, some time in the future, you will be notable enough for your own Wikipedia article. Until that time, you need to stop trying to get your bio onto Wikipedia. You are welcome to contribute verifiable, encyclopedic information to other articles, but you cannot keep trying to submit an article about yourself. Because you have done this repeatedly in the past, despite the article having been deleted several times, if you attempt to submit/create that article again in some way, I will have to block you for disruptive editing. If you have questions, please ask here--I would be happy to explain more or help you get involved in other projects on Wikipedia. Qwyrxian (talk) 11:35, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Nader, please read the notice above with the heading "Article(s) you've created". I'm afraid that the article about yourself does not (yet) belong in Wikipedia, for the reasons stated above. Please stop recreating it. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 12:06, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for repeatedly recreating an article on yourself. Nader, I tried to explain above, but you just ignored that explanation and recreated an article on yourself again (which I'll delete in one minute). Your actions have become disruptive, and thus I have no choice but to block you. If you are willing to accept that you cannot create an article on yourself or any other non-notable subject, you can be unblocked.. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Nader Shakhshir ( Photographer ), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

User was blocked for repeatedly recreating this article despite being told to stop

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here.
