OK, noted, thanks.

Who is Kate McAuliffe?

I've found many inappropriate usernames in Misza13's block log containing the name above mentioned. Do you know who is that? There were so many names saying that "<name> is going out with Kate McAuliffe" and so on. I have no idea what was going on. --Edmundkh 16:26, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Administrators

Do you know any administrators from Wikinews? I can't find the administrators of Wikinews like I can in Wikipedia. There are many questions I would want to ask them. LADodgersAngelsfan 03:30, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
You have beaten me numerous times when it comes to reverting vandalism on a variety of days I've been active. I therefore award you this wonderful barnstar in recognition of that. ;-) Lradrama 10:13, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
You're very welcome! Lradrama 10:15, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi there

Thanks for that... I've um, not been in any kind of conflict before, and I'm not really sure what the correct thing to do is if someone starts doing all that kind of stuff to me, reverting edits and leaving insults in summaries and on my page.

Frustrating..

Hi Natalie!

Just checked the page I finished one hour ago Crimson Circle (Shaumbra), and it was gone.. It had been nominated for speedy deletion and deleted (by you) within an hour. I've worked one that page for some time, and it takes you just one hour to take it away??? I really do know something about what Wikipedia is, and I am a great fan of it. However there seem to be some policecorpse ruling this place. A policecorps that just want me to stay away from contributing.
Frustrated!! Geir 13:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
And by the way: I want my page back!! I moved it to from my user sub-page, and now all the text is gone. Please help me recover it! Geir 13:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for answering! It was deleted a week ago yes, but that was just a few lines of text, with little references. The article I put out today, did among others reference to these aspects:
The Crimson Circle:

  • Has a web-site with 100.000 visits every month.
  • Has 22 web-sites in other languages -completely run by the people in those countries.
  • Is an organization whos members contribute to an immense range of books, art, healthfasilities, coatching, music, channelers, businesses and more. [1].

Did you check this out, or was it just easy to delete something that was unknown to you? Geir 13:52, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

If you by reliable sources mean secondary sourses, you have a point. But if a refer to books that are written, and so on, I really do not need to reference to other places than where they are displayed, do I. The significans is of course arguable, but the quantities I would say is not.
Sorry for not adressing your good faith (and you have a point there as well), but if I can't contribute on Wikipedia with what I know something about -then what can I do on Wikipedia? Geir 14:23, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your answers! But for the moment, this place just sucks for me. And yes, I'd like to have my text back. Please place it on a sub-page of my user-page and notify me. Geir 14:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for giving me the text back!!

..and sorry about sending you so many angry words.. Geir 15:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Natalie, Good Job !

I think you are doing a swell Job, keep up the good work. Sorry about by Laddog wiki, even though it was true, the article it was a waste of time and was not helping anyone. Sorry about that! Well have a great week, and keep smiling!

14:49, 8 June 2007 Natalie Erin (Talk | contribs) deleted "Peter Fisher (Medical Researcher)" (CSD A1: Very short article providing little or no context)
Don't some of you people sleep? I do, and hence I haven't completed the article yet. That's why it is (was) a "Very short article providing little or no context". Not picking on you specifically, but there is a class of Wikipedia editors who would benefit from acquiring some patience and learning some manners. For example, you could have asked me what I was up to before you decided to delete the page. Or failing that, perhaps you could even have put something on my talk page telling me that you'd deleted it, and explaining why?
Looking at your talk page, it seems that I'm the third person this week with a similar complaint. I think I understand why you are doing what you are doing, but it would seem you need to stop making such broad assumptions before you indiscriminately go off deleting other people's work. As Geir implies above, I'm not sure I want to be part of a community that acts without thinking and/or without considering others' points of view. Pdfpdf 10:30, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Post Script: I can't work out how to get back the data you've deleted. Can you either tell me how, or put a copy of it on my user page? Thanks in anticipation. Pdfpdf 11:08, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello

I have seen you have reverted template from ezhava article's discussion page. A lot vandalism going on in this discussion forum. and some people ar acting like they are doing research on the subject and pumping a lot meaningless/irrevalent comments on the page. how do yopu stop this? please help me . thanks u Daya anjali 11:48, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi Natalie :

I saw you comment and message to me. It makes me seem as if I have done the vandalism. My writings were completely filled with dangerous themes for which I cannot be held responsible. I asked for advise, and was adviced to restore the page back to the original. There should be a way to protect at least any particular writers posts. So that Vandals cannot attack it. I find that you have deleted all my posts now; instead of protecting the post from vandalism.

Now how do one know which is my writing, when the contents that come under by signature are completely so other persons --Ved from Victoria Institutions 15:58, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I am replying to your note to me on my messages.

This is a link to one of the latest pages where my posts were kept clean by me. [[2]]

I am giving you just one link to a vandalised posts of mine. [[3]]

If you do have the time, kindly read the contents of my posts, and see where malicious contents have been put under my signature.

A few days earlier, three of my posts were simply taken away. It need not matter; yet, the things discussed here are not mere intellectual exercises; the discussions done here do have bearing on various political and leadership issues over here.

The texts that have been inserted all over the pages do have contents that can severely hurt persons, especially in a place like India.

You may please note the term: ‘Toddy Tappers’ coming repeatedly; someone with very malicious intentions is doing this.

Whenever I removed the vandalised page, within minutes, it would come back.

--Ved from Victoria Institutions 16:34, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I hope you have seen Tn pillai 's post below on this page. I had expected this reaction. For the vandalism that came on my posts were of very dangerous type.

As to why I reposted my posts was that I was told to redo it, which I naturally thought was to repost the posts. As to reverting to previous page, again posts that have already come on the vandalised page will be lost. I feel that there is no answer in this. The only anmswer is to make every member's post uneditable by others, in the talk page. --Ved from Victoria Institutions 10:32, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

As of now, I find that none of my four major posts are visible on the page; and there is your comment saying that you are removing my posts for some misdemeanour of mine. I think that this is going to give the impression that I have done the wrongdoings. --Ved from Victoria Institutions 12:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

The immensity of text on"Toddy Tappers’ has nothing to do with me. I am writing this reply to your message. My whole posts were completely scrambled by someone posting this 'Toddy Tappers’ issue. Someone else was doing another level of vandalism. For the vandalism was aimed at two different contexts of subject matter. So there were a minimum of two seperate Vandals working on my texts. You may see a new post of mine. And also a letter to me from one of the members. I do not know how many hours my post will remain unaltered. --Ved from Victoria Institutions 15:05, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

I find that my posts have again been deleted. --Ved from Victoria Institutions 14:56, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

I think that I will keep a copy of my posts in their pure form in my own website pages as a backup area to view the unaltered version; if you do not mind. --Ved from Victoria Institutions 15:21, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

This man from Victoria Institutions seems to have has many accounts and vandalysing many pages. Some of his contents in articles are hurting the sentiments of many south indians. It can even lead to cast riot. This has been reported by by many local newspapers as the contents are coming many in websites(those directly feed from wikipedia). Tn pillai 09:20, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

It is not the man from Victoria Institutions that can hurt, but the vandalism that is going in his writings. There should be a way to protect the writings.

My writings are clear, and clearly validatble. However there seems to be persons who are bent on creating mischeaf.

I have tried vainly to keep my posts clear. Yet, every morning any number of vandalism seem to be done on my writings. I have appealed hearitself to protect me.

As for the future of Wikepedia, this type of this very dangerous. There is need to keep a persons' writings protected from other peoples' editing; if they have disagreement they can post a different version; but not inside another person's writings.

I have already mentioned that the writings that are put inside mine are dangerous, and has the qualilty of dynamites.

I do not have multiple accounts in Wikipedia. I have only one. --Ved from Victoria Institutions 10:28, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Question

When dealing with repeated personal personal attacks in an article I actually like, I was refactoring the attack edits to remove just the uncivil stuff, retainingthe remainder. I've made sure I was doing the right thing with another admin, but perhaps getting another opinion on the matter. This has been going on for months, and this attacker is kinda creeping me out. What to do? - Arcayne (cast a spell) 09:37, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Okay, will do. If it becomes an issue again, i will let you know. Thanks. :) - Arcayne (cast a spell) 09:42, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
I hope you don't mind me popping up so soon after my initial inquiry, but that sort of behavior I mentioned before is popping up in the same article. I am not the target of these disruptive edits (thank God), and have chosen not to address any edits form the user directly. The page in question is Talk:ALF. I was hoping that you could pop in for a bit and try and guess which editor it is that is being disruptive. Maybe even a word or two in the editor's ear might work wonders, as the page is still contentious (and rather lame). If not, I can see why the wonders and attractions of Ireland (with the possibility of a pub crawl and pub brawl breaking out at any given moment) might outweigh wanting to watch uncivil behavior. So, if you want to take a pass, I can understand. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 23:03, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

In case you are interested, there is now a drive to get Season 1 to FT status, modelled after our successful Season 8 drive. Deletion of Inner

Inner was the subject of an Afd. That is now closed, when this afd started inner was a (extremely bad) dab page. If it was the redirect when you deleted it I suspect this was the result of someone making a WP:Point. The same has happened to Outer, (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Outer). Nm, Inner was moved to Inner (disambiguation) during the course of the discussion. Taemyr 20:35, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism

Regarding this case of vandalism. Why a short block? This was deliberate, repeated, and malicious vandalism, not some newbie who didn't know the rules and "happened" to do something wrong. A permanent block is often used in such cases and would be in order, and no one would object. -- Fyslee/talk 11:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Multilple external links to one site

Hi Natalie, I saw your comment in Talk:Mumia Abu-Jamal that "our external links policy does suggest limiting external links to one per website". Actually this seems reasonable, and I must confess I wasn't thinking of external links when I made my comments to the user who removed the link he saw as a duplicate; I just saw it as an arbitrary removal of information (and perhaps could have been more civil). Can you point me to that policy? I took a quick look at WP:EL but didn't see it, and it sounds like something I might like to quote to some argumentative spammer one day.
