Deletion of Fresh Healthy Vending[edit]

Wondering why you chose to delete this page, I worked hard on it and I thought it was important because of the Healthy hunger free kids act and the new regulations on vending machines in schools. Fresh Healthy Vending is one of the only companies out there that provides this service, and they have been working with the "let's move" program as well. Were there not enough sources? Love Me (Beyoncé Album)[edit]

Curious, why delete this under A1? I'd just declined the A7 and A9 speedy tags, and by linking to the artist, the context of the article is very clear. Nyttend (talk) 02:54, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • For one thing, the cited source doesn't give the title as "Love Me" - it's an interview with the producer, and essentially all he says is "yeah, we're working on an album." So it's really more of an a3, no substantive content. Once there's a source with any information at all (like a title, or a release date), it would make more sense to have an article. NawlinWiki (talk) 03:46, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think that you have removed my content (The Theory of Human Excellence) because you have categorised it as an advert or trying to sell services. I assure you this is not my goal.

I am not sure if the web site www.theoryofexcellence.org was up when you took your decisions as it went live just about the same time as this site was updated. If you refer to this site you will be able to see that this new theory is a new management application that can be applied to many different areas of business. It could be the next SWOT theory or personality profiling technique such as Carl Jung invented. I have been researching this for several years and have just formulated the exact working of the human brain, how it thinks, how it makes learns, how it basically operates. I believe this is fundamental ground breaking work. It could re-write the rule book on decision making, learning, change management, leadership, motivation, team building and many more areas.

I recognise that it is not referred to as yet in any journals or other magazines but I am just completing my validation of the theories within several companies and therefore have not circulated my work. I wanted to check it out in real life before I 'blew my trumpet'. I am ready to do so now and believed that one of the first places to do so was on Wikipedia. I also wanted to use the audit trail to protect the IP of the theory to make sure no body else took recognition for my work. Hence registering it on this site first to get it time and date stamped.

If you are unsure, please just give me a little time to extend the reference ability of my work with other sources. If it does not get recognised then remove it after I have had chance to circulate the theory.

I thank you for your consideration, Terry Wilcox —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wilcoxft (talkcontribs) 14:23, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'm working on a project to teach people more about noodles and noodle making. I'm not sure why my page had to be deleted due to probably a too commercial context? What about the other companies that have Wiki pages? Since you have to make a start somewhere, I decided to start with Hakubaku. The noodles in my article are type of noodles, not just names that Hakubaku gave it. For example: Ramen noodles are for Japan like hamburgers are for the USA.
I'm happy to change some of the text, but to be honest I do not see much difference between: Hakubaku makes noodles (deleted) and Nike makes shoes, which is ok.

Justice[edit]

So I just thought I would drop a line asking for some justice. The URL 168.9.25.23 has been blocked for several short amounts of time for constant vandalism but always gets their priveleges back. Is this because they are a Muscogee County School District URL? Meanwhile, 68.153.29.23, which is a URL for Athens Regional Medical Center gets a five year ban on their first ban. I propose either a reduction in the latter's ban or an increase in the former's. There just doesn't seem to be much concensus amongst admins as to what a fair ban for vandalism should be. I have to wonder if the 5 year ban on the latter has to due to their edit of of Rachel Marsden's page which I suppose would be considered high visibility vandalism. Ultrastudio.org[edit]

While it may be that I made a mistake posting an article on Ultrastudio.org too early, WP:SPEEDY does not list lack of notability for the web site of this type as the reason for speedy deletion. As for normal deletion process, I cannot imagine it being done properly when the deletion discussion has been "resolved" by two people and without giving the original author at least several hours to reply. I am working on the project that seems doing well and plan to restore the article in the future. After I will do this, I think, no argumentation could be used that the article has been deleted with "consensus" of the two people and it should be treated as a contribution without the past history. Andi —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.56.49.28 (talk) 19:37, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • There are two distinct problems. First, the article is written like an ad: "Nimbuzz is a free mobile application that allows you to chat..." Second, the article did not indicate, by citation to reliable independent sources, how this company meets the notability standards of WP:CORP or WP:WEB. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:37, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for your feedback, I understand the reasons and I trust you have made the right decision by deleting it. I think that Nimbuzz is a big player in its space and a WIKI entry would be only fair. Since the access is restricted for an undetermined period I would really appreciate any advice you can give me on what do to get the article back again. What would be the best way in your opinion. I believe you have just banned me by mistake.

I am not a vandal; I actually was trying to upload images on commons but it seems that many policies has changed since I last used wiki (over a year ago). The images I upload belong to other people; but I personally ask each and every one of them permission to use them. I ask on the comments section so any admin can see that the images are legit. This is my Flickr account (so you can see I am not a vandal): http://www.flickr.com/photos/50846966@N08/favorites/

For example, look at this image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/edurickes/4908072213/in/faves-50846966@N08/

I have asked the author for permission to upload his images (not just that one), with the condition that they are cited and sourced (giving him the credit). He has agreed (via personal email) and I have just notified to mention it on the comments section so everyone can see. Since they are not technically "free" commons wouldn't allow it to stay. But on normal wiki it is well withing the policies. Most of the images on "My favorites" is the same thing, with many already giving me permission to upload them to use on wiki articles (I will be expanding South American football articles).

Now, can you unblock me, please? Only reason I did the 11 BS edits was to see if I can upload them now (seeing your new autoconfirm policy).

Thanks! (I am Chepe BTW) 68.215.155.90 (talk) 17:14, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If I may jump in- there isn't any correct way to write about your own company, because of your conflict of interest. Don't worry- if your company really is notable, it's inevitable that people outside the company will write about it based on what they read in the newspapers. To avoid advertising problems, Wikipedia doesn't permit us to use company names as our usernames, so if you want to continue at Wikipedia as a volunteer, you'll need a personal username. Spring Water Asset Management[edit]

I am wondering why the Spring Water Asset Management page was deleted. It follows the same organization as First Affirmative Financial which also flows in the same manner (slightly product pitching). What is unique about these companies is how they are starting to focus on socially responsible investing. This is what I find interesting and I am starting to get the word out. It was nice to see that Wikipedia already had a company profile similar to Spring Water Asset Management so I modeled after it. Getting the information out there about new green options is important. Please review both Spring Water Asset Management's page and First Affirmative's and provide reasons why one is worthy of Wikipedia and the other is not. They seem to have the same feel and content. mnovotny 12:29, 27 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by MelNovo (talkcontribs)

  • The Spring Water page was deleted for "product pitching" such as "By building relationships around trust and integrity, every client receives a specialized investment plan that suits their financial goals." See WP:NPOV and WP:SPAM. I've reviewed the First Affirmative page - while it is less overtly spammy, it doesn't indicate that the company meets the notability standards of WP:CORP, so I've deleted it as well. I think that this is discrimination. There are a number of pages for different LARPs. If you're going to allow one then you need to allow all. If not then I would like to see a list of requirements for a LARP to complete to be treated like these "special LARPs" that are allowed pages. • There aren't specific notability requirements for LARPs, but they fall under the requirements for organizations, WP:ORG. As far as the other articles, see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. If you think any other specific LARP article should be deleted, let me know. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:59, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request to NOT delete my "Baby Police" article[edit]

Hi, I saw this awesome Nigerian movie called Baby Police and I want to create a wiki article for it. This is my first time doing this so I posted something bogus on there just as a place holder when I first started and that one got deleted. I tried it again now that I have more info and it looks like someone is still trying to delete it.

Recreation of the article "Woe, Is Me"[edit]

The band Woe, Is Me had it's page deleted before because of insignificance but the group have now released a full length album and their cover of "Tik Tok" has become very popular and I was wondering if it would be appropriate to recreate this page. Thanks for reading! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jordan199311 (talkcontribs) 01:46, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem[edit]

Did you see the discussion page on the article Woe, Is Me? According to the creator of the article (which I have no recollection of), the band is gaining fame and is relevant. Can I ask how does this fit under A7? Thanks JeremyMcClean (Talk) 20:33, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The band's album was released (on a small independent label) *yesterday*. The article asserts only, with no references, that "They became famous mainly for their cover of "Tik Tok" by the pop sing Ke$ha." It's not enough just to baldly say "They are gaining fame" -- we have dozens of band articles submitted every day that say that. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:37, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I accidentally posted the article before I finished. I meant to hit preview. Velocity Records is owned by Rise Records which is a pretty major record label. I was going to add much more info to the article, including the whole first album's info. I believe the band is very relevant and should be enough to have their own page. If not, then I am sorry. • Thank you, NawlinWiki, for clearing up that. Sorry if I caused trouble. JeremyMcClean (Talk) 20:53, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jibe framework deleted?[edit]

Hi, I wonder why you deleted Jibe framework as it is an open sourced framework using Alfresco_(software), Extjs also you can see there is Spring Framework ... Jibe framework is licensed under GPL v3 and I do not see why should it be deleted? Why is that ‎(G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion)? (Talk) 22:59, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Innography article marked for proposed deletion[edit]

Hiyo! I saw that you had marked the Innography article for proposed deletion due to notability. I believe I've outlined in the discussion page at Talk:Innography that the article meets the notability criteria. I'd be happy to modify the article if you believe I'm misinterpreting the guidelines. I've removed the template for proposed deletion, per the comments on the talk page. Thanks! TonyHagale (talk) 21:37, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
