Your deletion[edit]

Dekeyser&Friends Foundation (A7: No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content): G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion)

I'd like to recreate the page that's why I'm contacting you. So before recreating, I've got some questions to make my article acceptable. Regarding "A7": Why do you think that there isn't an explanation of the significance? G11: It wasn't my intention, that the article looks like promotion. Could you please tell me why do you think that it looks like that? What should I change?

Thank you for your help!

Regarding a page you deleted in my userspace[edit]

This one. I trust your judgment in deleting it (even if it was created legitimately I'd have deleted it under U1 anyway) but I'm curious as to what was on it. Would you be able to let me know, either here or via email if need be? Thanks! elektrikSHOOS (talk) 04:01, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. Thanks! elektrikSHOOS (talk) 03:01, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised you deleted this. Certainly wasn't vandalism as your post seemed to suggest! It's an idiom, and in the UK, strongly associated with the Prince of Wales and his comments on architecture, and now widely used to refer to architecture of a certain type. In any case, did I create this article? What was it like? Can't see it any more. I did add something to the Carbuncle page.

  • You are right, I was wrong. :) I've restored the redirect. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 21:51, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your block of 94.72.252.104[edit]

Hi. You blocked User:94.72.252.104 for three years as a proxy. They've submitted a UTRS ticket #3425 as say they are part of Derbyshire County Council. I've asked for a proxy check on WP:OPP and it doesn't appear to be an open proxy. Can I ask why you blocked it as a proxy? Thanks Secretlondon (talk) 22:27, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The edit filter log shows that the IP was used by long-term abuser User:Tile join on 4/20/12. It may well not be a proxy (although Tile join typically uses those), but I am reluctant to unblock because of the use of the IP by a longterm vandal. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:38, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why this is move-protected to admin-only. I don't think I can see any previous move war or move vandalism? (talkback appreciated) Deryck C. 22:59, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The page was vandalized by User:JarlaxleArtemis in February. I semiprotected it for a while, and I always moveprotect his targets because he has a long history of pagemove vandalism. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:22, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your deletion of "Minerva" misspelled "Minverva"[edit]

I understand why you deleted the listing because of the misspelling of the title but why didn't you just fix the misspelling instead of deleting the entire page? I worked very hard on getting everything organized, researched and cited... now it's all gone. Is there a way you can still send me the code so that I can work off of that? I cannot find a record of the coding anywhere.

DracoGTO (talk) 21:29, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for responding. The vehicle is essentially a character by herself and has a history as old as Pierre Robert. I will follow your direction if you think this entry really belongs in the Pierre Robert article. There are more stories about Minerva 1 and 2 but I only included ones that I could cite with verifiable sources. DracoGTO (talk) 02:20, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Troll-B-Gone[edit]

I was wondering when this kind of thing would start happening. --Jprg1966 (talk) 05:18, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Page Curation update[edit]

Hey all :). We've just deployed another set of features for Page Curation. They include flyouts from the icons in Special:NewPagesFeed, showing who reviewed an article and when, a listing of this in the "info" flyout, and a general re-jigging of the info flyout - we've also fixed the weird bug with page_titles_having_underscores_instead_of_spaces in messages sent to talkpages, and introduced CSD logging! As always, these features will need some work - but any feedback would be most welcome.

PEPID[edit]

I have changed the content to remove any copyright issues and to justify a need for article. How can I republish?Bencinas (talk) 20:45, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Bencinas[reply]

Deleted?? Why?[edit]

15:24, 21 September 2012 NawlinWiki (talk | contribs) deleted page Dae Bryson (A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject) You deleted this page and im a fan trying to create a wikipedia page of Dae Bryson, I interviewed him to get all the info I put on the wikipedia page, why did you delete the page?

  • The article did not cite reliable independent sources (see WP:V) to show that Mr. Bryson meets our notability standards for musicians, see WP:BAND. Your own interview doesn't count as a reliable *independent* source. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:29, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Doesnt this poster prove that? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=406200839440320&set=a.360635207330217.80534.326735197386885&type=1&theater haha come on even the artery foundation has a wikipedia article — Preceding unsigned comment added by Victorstream (talkcontribs) 01:07, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • No, it just shows that Mr. Bryson was a supporting act at one concert. Did you read WP:BAND like I asked you to? NawlinWiki (talk) 01:35, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why Was This Deleted?[edit]

Sorry. The last post should have been under a new category. You deleted my page for Butz + Klug Architecture, saying it was unambiguously commercial. I'm guessing because it had links to the official website for the firm, but so does every other page for architecture firms. I'd like the page removed from the "Speedy Deletion" list and put back up in Wikipedia. I'd be happy to remove any "unambiguously commercial" material, but to delete it altogether seems a bit much. It is valuable information that falls under the category of "encyclopedic". Enjosh13 (talk)

  • It wasn't just links. As I said on your talk page, the article was full of promotional language like "It's in the details...where beauty arises" and "The firm takes great pride in..." NawlinWiki (talk) 19:27, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User:99.247.192.201[edit]

Can we just block this IP user forever - as seen here - his/her last block seems to have no affect on behavior.Moxy (talk) 18:17, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • We generally don't do indefinite IP blocks, but this one is blocked for 2 weeks and I will watch. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 19:27, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Page Curation newsletter[edit]

Hey NawlinWiki. This will be, if not our final newsletter, one of the final ones :). After months of churning away at this project, our final version (apart from a few tweaks and bugfixes) is now live. Changes between this and the last release include deletion tag logging, a centralised log, and fixes to things like edit summaries.

Hopefully you like what we've done with the place; suggestions for future work on it, complaints and bugs to the usual address :). We'll be holding a couple of office hours sessions, which I hope you'll all attend. Many thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 10:56, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That Entakamiza page[edit]

Hey, Nawlinwiki, I saw that you had deleted the page before as G12. I thought it didn't qualify, since the Bible is PD (hence the PROD), but does a translation of it get a new copyright? Writ Keeper 15:46, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's more that original texts belong on Wikisource, not here. I left the author a message to that effect on his talk page. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 15:51, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

HEY![edit]

Hey, what's the big idea?! You deleted one of my pages?! What the heck is wrong with you?! The Triple M (talk) 02:05, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't see that you have any deleted pages in your history. Can you tell me which page you are talking about? And insults aren't going to help you any. NawlinWiki (talk) 03:14, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request by user you blocked 2½ years ago[edit]

Ollee (talk · contribs) is requesting unblock. You had blocked him indef back in 2010 for creating an attack page. He now says he was trying to demonstrate to a friend distrustful of Wikipedia how readily such pages would be deleted. Since it's been so long I suspect he may be being honest about this, and I'm not sure the block should be continued as he had done occasional other edits that were good. Your thoughts? Daniel Case (talk) 16:26, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • OK with me - see comment on user's talk page. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 17:21, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Special:UncategorizedPages[edit]

This special page lists quite a few articles that it shouldn't, and this page is there and shouldn't be. As previously stated, there are an amount of others. It would be great if I was able to add and remove pages from special lists...do you or someone else know how to do that or could tell me? I find adding and removing categories fun. Also, I don't want to get addicted to Wikipedia, so i'm limiting myself to editing 1 or 2 hours a day. I still read the humor category though, it's almost as funny as Uncyclopedia and grows faster too X D--██████ 23:24, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you figure out what to do with Senate of Romania/Senate candidates that LIP made a subpage? It's also an unsourced list, so BLP concerns. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 06:02, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I already knew it was unsourced and/or incomplete, but I didn't want to just delete it because I didn't know what it was. So I moved it to a link in the 2008-present section. I did the same thing with a similar list to a list of canidates for the chamber of deputies. They're either works in progress or made by a person who didn't know much about the subject (and honestly, neither do I). I just didn't think that articles that consist of nothing but an incomplete table that have a / at the beginning of their name no less can stand on their own as separate articles. If you want to put it up for VFD go ahead, I didn't create it so I don't really care lol. --██████ 20:12, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. This alleged article is back.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:32, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi is there a way to ban Kwort from making stupid edits like the recent ones in Yan Bingliang. I had requested the page to be semi-protected due to vandalism from a random IP. I suspect the user got himself an account (Kwort) and started vandalising once the protection period was up. Cheers ~~Acsian88 (talk) 18:54, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you hide the edits instead of just reverting? As far as I can tell, all that did was make it harder to identify who the persistent vandals are (and therefore more difficult to put a block on them). Useddenim (talk) 16:55, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is a vandal whose purpose is to insert particular offensive material in the edit history of a page. He is one of our few vandals that get all their edits revdel'd. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 18:00, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RevDel request for User talk:Guoguo12[edit]

Hi NawlinWiki! Do you mind stopping by my talk page (history) and taking a look at the last three revisions? ARTIsshoque (talk · contribs) posted song lyrics on my talk page, so I think RevDel could be necessary. Thanks! Guoguo12 (Talk)  18:59, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, Reaper Eternal (talk · contribs) did it. Thanks anyway! Guoguo12 (Talk)  19:08, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
