Unspecified source for Image:Miss Nepal 2002 Malivka Subba.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Miss Nepal 2002 Malivka Subba.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:07, 11 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AfD nomination of Anita Gurung[edit]

I have nominated Anita Gurung, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anita Gurung. Hi, NepaliBoy! Thank you for your contributions and for providing so many articles on Miss Nepal contestants. I am proposing that many of them are merged to Miss Nepal or perhaps to a new article on Miss Nepal beauty pageant contestants. Thanks :) Maedin (talk) 19:33, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of legitimate templates and insertion of bogus protect templates[edit]

Please be aware that the actions you are taking in attempting to subvert the deletion process is in contravention of wikipedia's policies and behavioural guidelines. I have reverted your edits. If you wish to stop deletion of the articles concerned, you should argue your case in AfD, and not engage in what is considered vandalism. Ohconfucius (talk) 05:12, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi NepaliBoy, I'm not deleting your pages, I'm only taking them to AfD so that the matter can be discussed. Please join in at the discussion page (clearly stating that you are the creator of the articles) and post your views there. P.S. It's Miss Maedin :)))) Maedin (talk) 06:55, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have made them coz I am the worker at Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal organization so please donot delete it.
  • NepaliBoy, I am sorry, but the fact that you are associated with the organisation does not make the ladies who competed in the contest notable. Many countries hold similar competitions, and if every winner and runner-up of every contest were included here, Wikipedia would no longer be an encyclopedia. There is already a decent article on Miss Nepal—it would be nice to see this page improved and expanded, and more information on the winners could be included here. This means that even if the pages you are trying to protect are deleted or re-directed, the names of the winners will still be "present" on Wikipedia and their achievement still noted. Please also consider that if you wish to "have your say" about this issue, you should do so at the page where the deletion nomination is being discussed, here.  :) Maedin (talk) 13:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't a matter of getting permission from the director (you don't need permission to write an article about a film). It is simply that the film is not notable.
I am not personally deleting the page, simply proposing that it be deleted. If you think the film is notable (read WP:FILM), then explain why on the AfD page Mayalld (talk) 09:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Sano Sansar[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sano Sansar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Speedy deletion of Raju Lama[edit]

A tag has been placed on Raju Lama requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

September 2008[edit]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Raju Lama. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Speedy deletion of Prerana Shah[edit]

A tag has been placed on Prerana Shah, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Prerana Shah is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Prerana Shah saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Maedin\talk 09:07, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the message on my talk page. The reason for the delete now and the original delete is not that she was only the runner-up in the Miss Nepal contest. It is more about notability and the fact that even winning a contest does not make one notable. There is no evidence that Miss Shah has done anything of note, and unfortunately, participation in a competition isn't a magic criterion for notability. You gave me an example of a Miss Japan winner who has no other information on her page, and it is probably only a matter of time before it is also deleted (it was only created today). Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Sano_Sansar.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 23:27, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The template are at Wikipedia:WikiProject Nepal/District templates. Any help you can give expanding them or finding new references, evne if from Nepal language sources would be greatly appreciated. See Category:Cities, towns and villages in Nepal for the progress too. If you are living in Nepal, perhaps you could access a library or have some books or newspaper sources to expand these new articles? Review of deletion of Sano Sansar[edit]

If you look above at this section of your talk page, you'll see that the article was deleted for violating Criteria for Speedy Deletion (CSD) G12, copyright violation. Part or all of the article was duplicated from copyrighted sources and Wikipedia doesn't allow this. An admin can immediately delete an article without community input if it clearly violates one of the CSD. I've looked back at the deleted article and found two other websites with exactly the same text as the deleted article. Please avoid putting copyrighted images and text on Wikipedia. Looking up your talk page, you seem to have added quite a few images with questionable sources. If you have any questions, please leave a message on my talk page. Cheers, Pigman 17:51, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Cyber Sansar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Cyber Sansar and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. V. Joe (talk) 18:36, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I requested a speedy delete for that article, because I feel that is advertising for "Cyber Sansar." I am also unsure whether or not the article is notable. V. Joe (talk) 18:39, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Pallavi Dhakal[edit]

A tag has been placed on Pallavi Dhakal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Hitro 04:11, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Renasha Rai[edit]

A tag has been placed on Renasha Rai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Bipana Thapa[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Bipana Thapa, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Notability has not been asserted. Mere presence at IMDb Doesn't make anyone encyclopedic subject. Most of the blue link in the filmography leads to correct destination.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free image File:Download application form missnepal2008.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Download application form missnepal2008.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Bandana in swimsuit.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bandana in swimsuit.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Adrignola talk 13:06, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
