Flores[edit]

Thanks for the heads up. yes it needs a lot of work - not only that but it's two different people all mixed up, the promoter didn't wrestle so all the wrestling related info is for a different guy, I think someone else stuck it in there after the article was created. I put it on my list cause it does need a lot of work. I appriciate the heads up. MPJ-DK (talk) 09:17, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Triplemanía[edit]

Updated DYK query On 26 February, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Triplemanía, which you recently nominated. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Dropping By[edit]

I have been absent for a fair amount of time due to the reality of real life regarding academia and have gotten bored so felt like dropping a line to see if anything has been happening recently, by recently I mean factoring in several months dating to last year. Then again, I was always the invisible one thus I wonder if my absense would've been taken to me being more expert in my occupation. –– Lid(Talk) 03:10, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not so sure about that, I can spot a massive discussion thread verging on making up an OR definition of what is or isn't a world title apparently. I should feel foolish to think I had settled such useless debates of imposing personal opinion of what is or isn't a fake championship world title. –– Lid(Talk) 06:04, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great work on the Jesse Ventura article[edit]

Thank you for your fine cleanup work on the Jesse Ventura article. Doing away with the "controversy" section and reorganizing its contents throughout the article was a long overdue task. I had planned to work on it, but you beat me to the punch and did a better job than I probably would have. Kudos!--JayJasper (talk) 16:23, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hall[edit]

I'll do my part in my sandbox and merge it into yours later. Can I write the lead?--₮RU 01:07, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, plus I have school. So I might do a couple a day and maybe we can have it complete by next weekend? Is that fine? Yeah originally thats what it was, in my archive GCF pointed out various other Hall of Fame's that could be expanded. We need at least 10 to make a main article (list) for them.--₮RU 01:18, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For a list like this yeah. So either way we have to get at least 10. So far we have (1)WWE Hall of Fame (2)WCW Hall of Fame and (3)NWA Hall of Fame.--₮RU 01:27, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've also expanded St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame, which just needs a bit more work before being nominated. GaryColemanFan (talk) 03:02, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've already done a bunch of research for the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame, which I'm expanding in my sandbox. I spent a few weeks collecting the information, so I hope it can save you both some time. Feel free to copy and paste anything from User:GaryColemanFan/Murphy, as many inductees are in both halls (I've got real names, accomplishments, and references for everything). GaryColemanFan (talk) 02:49, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the notes Nikki, you need to be consistently formatting it like the other FLs, especially the recently promoted ones when listing the championships. So they should be like Won the WWF Championship (1 time) and the WWE Tag Team Championship (100 times) and they should not have a period if the statement is not a complete sentence, like the one I wrote in italics.--₮RU 14:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
=D Yeah, the NWA Hall was the most recent one. Make sure all the sources are reliable ;)--₮RU 22:22, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think we should list the major accomplishments they won (which requires individual sources for the title reigns) or just what their PWHF bio states?--RUCӨ 03:16, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay.--RUCӨ 03:47, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I also want to direct you to WT:PW#Do we need a coordinator?--RUCӨ 21:27, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, sorry if we don't get the article done for a while, as I am busy in real life and can't really find the time to go search for refs and research title wins for the inductees. In addition, for the ones you have done, make sure that the title wins you have are covered in the PWHF article (not how many times, but the title itself), if not, you need to find individual specific refs.--RUCӨ 01:30, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mascarita Sagrada[edit]

Thanks for the heads up on Mascarita Sagrada, I've cleaned it up, sourced & expanded it. The other two Sagrada versions are on my to-do list (Tzuki & Mascarita Dorada). Feel free to bring more to my attention. MPJ-DK (talk) 14:51, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Featured list nominations?[edit]

I got a question for you - I've updated every single championship in the Category:Asistencia Asesoría y Administración championships & Category:Championships promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre categories except one (which is close) and I was wondering if any of them are worth considering putting up for Featured List consideration?? MPJ-DK (talk) 17:29, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • THat's surprising considering I've seen FLs with nothing but WWE.com references and FLs with wrestling-title references. But I'll definitly check with Truco and make sure to cherry pick the articles with best chance.

A new way to get on IRC[edit]

I should have told you a while back, that you can log onto IRC using a site called Mibbit. Just google search it and follow the instructions. When it asks you for a channel name, type in #wikipedia-en. iMatthew // talk // 00:57, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bury Angle[edit]

That was a good article. Why on earth did you merge it?? That was very worthy of an article, because there are many different notable situations where wrestlers careers were screwed over. I don't see you merging the other articles on this list.(LonerXL (talk) 01:46, 12 March 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Hi Nikki, I saw you did the GA review and thought I'd ask your opinion on a content dispute. The main dispute is that the Film section focuses on Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and the version you passed made no reference to Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life; two films that are, if not the important films, then very important films that should be discussed here. A new user attempted to rectify this but has conducted himself in a very incivil manner and thus the primary contributor has blocked his additions.

I have other concerns about the article however - in "television" we see a focus on the night visitors yet the longest running tv show (mentioned in the lead) is reduced to a footnote. Also, quite oddly, a Mr Magoo version of A Christmas Carol is mentioned but then no others are. There are numerous more notable versions of A Christmas Carol and these should be discussed and summarised. There is needless information on night visitors including broadcast times (I'm sure just the day will suffice). I haven't looked over the rest of the article but on these two sections alone I'm going to suggest a delisting. The article is clearly organised to demonstrate by the contributors' personal favourites while it pays lip service to more notable important events. I'd really appreciate your input. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 13:21, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Nikki! Long time, no... talk! :) Listen, me and 'Blue were thinking about nominating Paul London and Brian Kendrick as a good topic, which would require Ashley Massaro as a GA as well (valet). Question[edit]

Since you work on alot of female articles, I was wondering if you would like to work with me on some I have in mind? They are some former and current divas and TNA Knockouts: Christy Hemme, Angel Williams, Velvet Sky, Jacqueline Moore, Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, Ashley Lane, Taylor Wilde, and Terri Poch. Christy since I just want too and for someone to work on or help with the WWE section. Angel, Velvet, and Lane to do a good topic out of The Beautiful People (professional wrestling) and I'll need help with the indy and WWE work. Moore since I want too, is a former WWE Women's champion, and been in TNA for a while now. Kim, Kong, and Taylor to start a good topic out of Knockout Champions. Terri since she is apart of the DX topic, which is a future plan. Mainly since I have to make Monty Sopp a GA for The Beautiful People and that will make DX closer to a Good Topic with HBK, HHH, Chyna, and Stephanie all GA. That would leave Terri, BG, and Tyson left. B.G. will be taken along with the New Ages Outlaws for a topic there, if I can get Roxxi to GA, which we can work together if you feel like it. Tyson will not be too hard if the guy who got the article to GA in the first place wants to work with me to get it back to GA. I have none of these planed right now, I'm taking another small break. But when I come back, I'm going at it hard and getting all the above article's TNA sections finished very quickly along with The New Age Outlaws, Brian Gerard James, etc TNA sections.--WillC---(What the F*** have you done lately???!!) 21:00, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, probably Gail Kim first. She was really TNA's woman's division in human form. Since she left it has went down hill and has not stopped since. Either one of those will do fine for now. Ms. Jackie is for a Beer Money, Inc good topic but they have no article for now so I'm not in a hurry. Kong has alot of indy and Japanese bookings so I'm worried about that history. Christy hasn't done much in TNA, so that won't be much trouble (thinking in the thought of me since I'll work on their TNA sections mainly while you handle their WWE stuff). So it doesn't matter. I'll tell you when I'm back full time so we can get to work.--WillC---(What the F*** have you done lately???!!) 22:03, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA problem[edit]

You promoted Slut Night to good article status, but the whole thing seems based on random webpages and event listings without a single reliable source to back up anything except gender background information. Wrestling terms...[edit]

Although I understand Wiki's policy about unsourced info, this page seems to have been copied almost word for word from the Torch's glossary, as well as 2 other pages which are nearly identical copies of that page. "Face in peril" is a valid contribution which appears in quite a few reviews of wrestling matches, including many that specifically refer to the Ricky Morton usage I added. In fact, both terms appear on the wikipedia page for "Tag Team". I googled and found several hundred occurrences right off the bat in a wide variety of wrestling publications, but I'm always a bit shaky when it comes to knowing which ones make good cites and don't instigate edit wars over the validity of sources. I would think that at least giving someone some pointers as to what would constitute a valid source and some time to acquire one rather than instantly reverting until they find one would be more in line with the both the spirit and wording of Wiki policy. I enjoy contributing to wrestling pages, and I would appreciate some help in getting up to speed on finding the facts right rather than swift deletion. Thanks for your time! HoF[edit]

Okay, so I'm done my half of the table, and I noticed a few things. There is gonna be a problem with the notes because some of the inductees won several NWA titles (but from the smaller territories), in the notes of wrestlers who have listed many NWA titles need to be removed and replaced with won various NWA championships--In the lead I will explain that most inductees have won various NWA championships (which will be pipelinked to List of National Wrestling Alliance championships). In addition, I will more than likely link to WWE/WCW/AWA/ and the NWA in the lead, so there will be no need for the links in the notes for those promotions. Plus, for other promotions that I will not explain in the lead, we need to spell out their acronym if we are going to list a title for that inductee from that promotion (i.e. National Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship). Finally, for the Midgets World Title, use the source from the NWA World Midget's Championship (the Wrestling Titles book), I think I used a ref name for it already, if not try to find it and use it. So these are just a few things we have to work on.--Truco 17:39, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay cool. But you do understand what I mean right by my comments above?--Truco 02:24, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Nikki,

How's it going? You may not recall, but last year you gave me some suggestions that would get the Culture of Georgia (U.S. state) article up from a B Article (which you'd just rated it) to a Good Article status. Well, after a hiatus from Wikipedia, I finally got done with it and I was wondering, what do I need to do now to get this article nominated for GA? As the primary author of the article, can I (or should I) nominate it myself or wait until someone else does so? I've never really understood that process *L*. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Reb (talk) 16:22, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting deletions from Professional wrestling Holds page.[edit]

Hey, this is user ChristianColde from the Professional_wrestling_holds page. You deleted all of my changes to that page, citing that there were no source for the moves existence. In essence, any move that can exist and that succeeds in creating pain will be used in professional wrestling: it's safe to assume that all of these moves have been used by one wrestler or another throughout their career. In practice, here are a few links to some of the moves I entered in the article as proof of their existence.

Sol Naciente: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ_lhvJIDUk , 0:55 in.

Sol Naciente Kai: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ_lhvJIDUk , 1:13 in

Muta Lock: Not an STF variant in any way, gave it it's own heading

Strangle Hold Alpha: http://www.deathvalleydriver.com/bbbowm/part2.htm , under "Armbar with Neck Submission, Reverse Crucifix" (it's actually a standard crucifix)

Stangle Hold Beta: http://www.deathvalleydriver.com/bbbowm/part2.htm, under "Armbar with Neck Submission, Crucifix" (it's actually a scissored armbar, much like I cited)

Strangle Hold Gamma: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4WJXkHHa18, 0:49 in

Stump Puller: Of course this move exists, it's cited in the articles of Doink the Clown and Nick "Big Bully" Busick as a finishing maneuver!!! My problem was that they were described in the articles as a "reverse boston crab" which in no way describes a stump puller.

Figure four stump puller: again from http://www.deathvalleydriver.com/bbbowm/part2.htm, under "Stump Puller, figure four"

Wing Tearer: I do not have any sources from real wrestling atm, because the move is so common. As prove of it's existence, here's a video of King (a mexican wrestler) from the video game Tekken executing the maneuver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVCKeUUWbkY , 2:10 in

Reference to La tapatia can be found here: http://www.luchawiki.org/index.php?title=La_Tapat%C3%ADa

Palo Special referenced here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsman#Techniques

Elevated Figure Four Leglock: http://www.luchawiki.org/index.php?title=El_Nudo_Lagunero and http://www.deathvalleydriver.com/bbbowm/part2.htm under "leglock, crossed arm elevated"

Samurai Lock: Same as with Wing Tearer, here's a video of a video game character doing the move. Looks legit enough, please explain why it shouldn't be added: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwaFiLoALYI&feature=related , 1:10 in.

Trailer Hitch: Referenced in http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jamie_Noble&action=edit&section=9 as a finishing hold innovated by Jamie Noble. I was unsatisfied with the current description given of the hold (in essence, it's not a "modified reverse figure four", my description tells precisely how the move is "modified". Also, we can't even call it a "figure four" variant since the there are no straight legs in the Trailer Hitch- the move is closer in execution to an indian deathlock).

If nothing else, I do believe I've now sufficiently proved that these moves DO exist and so I'm reverting the deletion; otherwise do tell me where I went wrong.

I can't know what changes of mine you've deleted in addition to those on Professional_wrestling_holds, but I hope you can revert those deletions as well. For anything else, contact me on my own talk page.

GA Sweeps update[edit]

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am contacting you because you have contributed or expressed interest in the GA sweeps process. Last month, only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process with 163 articles reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

All exempt articles that have reached FA status have now been moved to a separate section at the end of the running total page. I went through all of the members' running totals and updated the results to reflect the move. As a result your reviewed article total may have decreased a bit. After removing duplicate articles and these FAs, the running total leaves us at ~1,400 out of 2,808 articles reviewed.

If you currently have any articles on hold or at GAR, please consider concluding those reviews and updating your results. I'm hoping that this new list and increased efforts can help us to increase the number of reviews. We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you know of anybody that can assist please direct them to the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, will get an award when they reach that mark. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! A little advice?[edit]

Heya, sorry to bother you but I was just thinking because you're an admin you might be good to ask. You know when you upload other folks' pictures on WikiCommons you have to get that OTRS thing? Is there a way you can e-mail the person just the once to cover for a whole series of images? I've never done it before so I don't know how at all. Summer[edit]

I was thinking about starting to work on Gail Kim and Ms. Jackie over the summer, are you up to it?--WillC 21:00, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, good. You want to work on it in a subpage like you do most (I'm the same as well), or in the actual articles?--WillC 01:50, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter to me. Over the next few weeks I plan to start reading reports from TNA's first weekly PPV to the most recent Impact!. Along the way work on any bios, tag team articles, PPVs, etc that will be covered in those reports. Ms. Jackie will probably be fine since she came into TNA in 2004 before Kim, so I'll start on her first and get everything she has done in TNA finished. Then go from there.--WillC 18:09, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well I had the same plan to work on the knockouts title as a topic. I'm working on alot of title articles, so the women's title can be taken to GA, since 5 reigns isn't long enough for FL yet. All the champions so far have enough information out there that they can be taken to GA. So I'm game if you are. I'll get around to Jackie and Kim very soon.--WillC 16:20, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps June update[edit]

Thanks to everyone's dedicated efforts to the GA Sweeps process, a total of 396 articles were swept in May! That more than doubles our most successful month of 163 swept articles in September 2007 (and the 2 articles swept in April)! I plan to be sending out updates at the beginning of each month detailing any changes, updates, or other news until Sweeps are completed. So if you get sick of me, keep reviewing articles so we can be done (and then maybe you'll just occasionally bump into me). We are currently over 60% done with Sweeps, with just over a 1,000 articles left to review. With over 40 members, that averages out to about 24 articles per person. If each member reviews an article a day this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. I know that may be asking for a lot, but it would allow us to complete Sweeps and allow you to spend more time writing GAs, reviewing GANs, or focusing on other GARs (or whatever else it is you do to improve Wikipedia) as well as finish ahead of the two-year mark coming up in August. I recognize that this can be a difficult process at times and appreciate your tenacity in spending time in ensuring the quality of the older GAs. Feel free to recruit other editors who have reviewed GANs in the past and might be interested in the process. The more editors, the less the workload, and hopefully the faster this will be completed. If you have any questions about reviews or the process let me know and I'll be happy to get back to you. Again, thank you for taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 18:11, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SummerSlam 2009[edit]

Would you mind taking a look at this? There is a user who keeps adding this image. Either the image is fake (it's not on In Demand and WWE's Affiliates page is not open anymore and I can't find any proof it is real) or they are bullshitting it's license. They keep uploading it to Commons and claiming they created it (which means it can't be used anyways). I don't know if it's technically vandalism or what to do. TJ Spyke 12:52, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's why I hadn't removed the image again even though it's either fake or a false license. I will look into reporting them on Commons, but the system there seems to be a little different than it is here. TJ Spyke 02:57, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Belly to Back Piledriver[edit]

You reverted my last edit on the sunset driver, after I added more information on the move, regarding more common name and an inverted style move. May I ask why? -Everybody'sHeard (talk) 04:10, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, the previous edit was here. I was using an IP adress of my friend.

"The sunset driver is more commonly called Jig 'N Tonic, used by notable indy worker Jigsaw. There is also a twisting inverted variation of the move, used by Jason Gory."

That is what was edited out. -Everybody'sHeard (talk) 05:05, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tag Title Issue[edit]

That's pretty strange. It basically looks as if someone created two articles for the NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship. The Georgia Tag Titles were taken over by the NWA Wildside promotion and the name was changed, I just didn't know that there were two different articles. I just never really noticed that before. I may have made a mistake during the last time I edited one of them. I think it's consensus to title championship articles based upon their most recent name right? I failed to notice that the NWA Wildside Tag Team Championship's name was briefly changed back to the NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship around the end of 2005 after the NWA Wildside promotion closed. So, I'd just get rid of the NWA Wildside Tag Team Championship article.Odin's Beard (talk) 23:29, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gail Kim[edit]

So the straw that broke the camel's back was because I actually used the default name of the move as it's listed here on Wikipedia (straight jacket) instead of a sourced name (Japanese stranglehold)? PCE (talk) 01:17, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There, I found your oh-so-precious source for the technical name of her Happy Ending neckbreaker, so piss off. PCE (talk) 07:44, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps July update[edit]

Thanks to everyone's dedicated efforts to the GA Sweeps process, a total of 290 articles were swept in June! Last month was our second most successful month in reviewing articles (after May). We are currently over 70% done with Sweeps, with just under 800 articles left to review. With nearly 50 members, that averages out to about 15 articles per person. If each member reviews an article every other day this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. This may sound difficult, but if everyone completes their reviews, Sweeps would be completed in less than two years when we first started (with only four members!). With the conclusion of Sweeps, each editor could spend more time writing GAs, reviewing at the backlogged GAN, or focusing on other GARs. Again, I want to thank you for using your time to ensure the quality of the older GAs. Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 18:02, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wrestling and a double-standard[edit]

Can you explain to me your logic as to how wrestling being held to a double standard is... my opinion? Anything's status as a double standard is a fact, not an opinion. Please, I am totally lost at how you think it's just an opinon, and not that you just don't want that fact (not opinion) there.--Wikieditor1988 (talk) 06:22, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, by that logic, bashing wrestling for being fake cannot be a straw-man, either, because at one point, business insiders did deny that it was fake, yet I don't see you deleting the sentence about it being a straw-man. Seriously, what's the difference in your logic, there? IF we're going to delete one senetence for the same reason, it's only fair, per Wikipedia's policy on consistency, that we have the same standards of quality for every other sentence in every article on this entire site.--Wikieditor1988 (talk) 02:20, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm just curious here, are you still working on improving the Nakano and Lauer articles? I'm just not seeing the feedback to suggest you're currently working on them. They've been on hold since the 3rd and you've been back since the 6th if there isn't more activity soon then both will be failed as they cannot sit on hold indefinitely. GANs[edit]

Hey Nikki, I'm glad to see you are back. You mentioned at WT:PW that you were leaving and asked for someone to watch your GANs while you were gone. Well I was, but seeing from the problems regarded in the reviews, I just left everything alone, since I knew nothing about the wrestlers and didn't want to screw anything up. I did watch your DYKs, and they are fine for the moment IMO. Hope you enjoyed your trip.--WillC 03:40, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Hey Nikki, I'm sorry to bother you, but I was told that if admins are suspecting high levels of activity that they can protect a page beforehand. Well a new X Division Champion should be crowned tomorrow and judging from the activity last week regarding the TNA Women's Knockout Championship, this would cause instability for the TNA X Division Championship during its FAC. It was withdrawn last time around due to instability and I would like to avoid that this time around. So if you could, will you protect it till Friday night or longer, because by then everything should be fine.--WillC 02:32, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I'm just a little bit worried. I plan to avoid it as quick as possible. Before the change happens I hope to have the article updated fully with refs where users nor ips will change anything.--WillC 23:54, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Electric chair/Springboard spinning heel kick combination[edit]

I have a question concerning the professional wrestling double-team maneuvers page. The former WcW team named High Voltage used an Electric chair/Springboard spinning heel kick combination, but there isn't any paragraph on the double-team maneuvers page describing the double-team moves based on an aided electric chair drop. The aided powerbomb seems to be the closest move : the Harlem Heat finisher Heat Seeker (Electric chair/Missile dropkick combination) redirect to the aided power bomb version. There is also a page about the Doomsday Device. So, where adding the double-team maneuvers based on an aided electric chair drop? Does I have to create a new paragraphe on the professional wrestling double-team maneuvers page? Or on the Doomsday Device page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.224.118.7 (talk) 12:31, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About the Doomsday Device, I think it doesn't should be a page but only a paragraph on the professional wrestling double-team maneuvers page. There isn't a full page on the Hart Attack, so why for the Doomsday Device?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.224.118.7 (talk) 12:36, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am a little confused on the situation with the page. It seems that someone else has removed the information on her relationship from the article twice. I have posted again on the talk page about it, as it is stated in what appears to be a reliable source. Online World Of Wrestling is used several times in the article and from what I can tell is reliable and credible. I was wondering[edit]

Looking at your current projects section on your main space, you have listed the a WWE Women's Championship (Champions), WWE Divas Championship (Champions), and TNA Women's Knockout Championship (Champions) topic templates. I was wondering if you were going to add another into that group? I'll just cut to the chase, TNA have announced the creation of a TNA Women's Knockout Tag Team Championship (which I am currently expanding in a subpage located here). So heads up on that, incase you ever decided to try for that one as well. There are 8 teams involved in the tournament, and out of them it seems only the team of Traci and Sharmell and The Beautiful People will be booked to win the title.--WillC 00:47, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion/advice[edit]

Considering you work mainly in women's wrestling than anywhere else, I thought to ask you about the problem I have. I am currently working on two topics about championships and champions in TNA. The other day it hit me, "Would the Miss TNA crown count as a championship or a accomplishment?". I haven't been able to determine which it would count as. If it counted as a championship, it wouldn't be too hard for me to create an article for it and take it to GA so it would fit into the topic. Though the question isn't if I can, but should I? Not sure if it is notable all on its own. So since women's wrestling is mainly your thing, I thought to ask for your opinion on the matter?--WillC 13:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks for the feedback. I guess that was a bullet I dodged.--WillC 00:24, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, will you move Angel Williams to Angelina Love, per commonname? I tried too, but I can't, an admin must move it.--WillC 03:09, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I would agree. But considering she is having visa issues, she can't work for any promotion outside of Canada. So she can't become known any wider by Angel Williams or anything else.--WillC 21:21, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that you nominated Michelle McCool at GAN. If that was to pass GA, you would be one article away from getting a Good topic on List of WWE Divas Champions. I went ahead and updated that article to match recent FLs that have passed. But sad to say, if you have any plans to take it to FL, it won't pass. It isn't long enough to qualify as a list. I nominated List of FIP World Heavyweight Champions (now merged with the FIP World Heavyweight Championship) at FLC at 9 champions and I had to withdraw it because it wasn't long enough. Though there is a brightside, you could merge it with the WWE Divas Championship, then follow the format I used with the TNA Legends Championship or the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship (later would probably be more fitting) and take it to GAN. Just thought to tell you, in case that was your plans so you wouldn't have to travel down that road.--WillC 22:58, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think I would mention that to Scorp, about the idea of a topic. Then merge the list back into the Divas Title and if you want I'll get it prepared for GAN, since I've had a list practice. :) After it passes a GA review the topic will still be featured. Just a small review of it at FT would need to be done. I doubt there will be 10 champions anytime soon. TNA focuses on their women's title alot more than WWE does their's, and there has yet to be 10 champions with it yet. Though, that is just me.--WillC 20:45, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you got lucky with the Divas Title. The two new champs were already GAs, so guess you got a break. I bet you were glad you got that break.--WillC 02:28, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

True. I wasn't even watching Raw until I saw all these edits for title changes. First thing I thought of was "Nikki is going to have more work to do if she wants that topic now". Then I went and looked. After I noticed they were both already GA I said "Guess Nikki got a break". Well good luck with McCool. You got my support in your quest to get the women title good topics.--WillC 02:58, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What the??![edit]

Vicki Williams[edit]

Hi, I did not see your post on Vicki Williams until today. Short answer, I don't for sure - but I doubt there'd be two notable female wrestlers named "Vicki Williams" active around the same time so I'm pretty it was the same person. MPJ-DK  (No Drama) Talk  05:19, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I just found a book on Lucha Libre that actually has a chapter on the early days of the UWA Women's championship. It calls her "Vicky Williams", it also states that she was a women's champion from the US that came to mexico and was billed as the first UWA Women's champion on arrival. She wrestled barefoot in the pictures I've seen. I think Vicki, Vickie and Vicky are all the same woman, gotta love inconsistent spelling ;)  MPJ-DK  (No Drama) Talk  05:51, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are Destination X (2005), Hard Justice (2005), Against All Odds (2006), Victory Road (2006), Victory Road (2007), and Turning Point (2007). They were created by a number of users and were never expanded so they were redirected. Your changes to Pete Rose[edit]

If you think that the article does not meet the [criteria], please, by all means, change the rating to Start. However, why do you insist on changing only one project? Different projects shouldn't be assessing articles differently; they are the same article following the same criteria. KV5 (TalkPhils) 21:23, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That may be (although this is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit, and not every project has an assessment team like the professional wrestling project). However, Wikipedia uses one assessment scale. That's why WP:ASSESS is there. If you feel that it doesn't meet those criteria, go ahead and downgrade the article to Start (or more appropriately, C-class, due to the amount of information), but your WikiProject assessment scale is a supplement to WP:ASSESS; it does not supersede it. KV5 (TalkPhils) 21:28, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nikki311, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to WWE Encyclopedia has been removed. It was removed by 71.184.42.179 with the following edit summary 'nominator is mistaken, book does pass [[Wikipedia:Notability (books)]]; book is "subject to multiple book reviews" by reliable, third-party sources'. Please consider discussing your concerns with 71.184.42.179 before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:44, 27 November 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages) 19:44, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Nikki. :) To the best of my recollection, you were the driving force bbehind getting Stacy Keibler (aka Super Stacy!) to GA, so I've listed you accordingly as a main contributor at Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/Rosey and The Hurricane/archive1. If I left someone out, please add them in. Thanks, ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 21:00, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of popping[edit]

The article pop (professional wrestling) is notable because popping is one of the most crucial aspects in wrestling. You probably know that promoters give victories and championships to wrestlers who they think will draw ratings and sell tickets, right? Well, how do promoters gauge a wrestler's potential to do that? I'll tell how: If the fans pop for a wrestler, there's a good chance that they care enough about that wrestler to pay money to see him with a big title. Case in point: Amazing Red. Sure, he's a spot monkey, but he got such good pops from the crowd, that they gave him the X-Division title for it. Also, what about Stone Cold Steve Austin? His raunchy antics excited the crowd so much that he got pushed to superstardom for it.

Popping is how a wrestler's popularity is gauged, and so, it is one of the most crucial aspects of the wrestling business, and therefore, is a very notable topic to write an article about.Wikieditor1988 (talk) 04:31, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Then you should also be aware of the ignore all rules rule, which states that the only rule that is absolute is that of consensus. You, and some guy named TruthCrusader, are the only ones I've ever met that didn't seem to think that these terms do not meet that rule. Sure, the most likely place you're going to find these terms is on a wrestling message board, but we're talking about slang; the most reliable way TO verify slang is by hanging out with the people who use it. As a direct result, the rule of what is a reliable source needs to be ignored, per Wikipedia's Ignore All Rules policy. Consensus indicates that these terms, like Pop and Heat, are reliable enough to be cited without sources, and just two people do not overcome consensus.
Don't believe me? Put up a template proposing that article for deletion, and allow everyone else to contribute their two cents. Once that's all said and done, there won't be any controversy over whether or not the consensus rule applies.Wikieditor1988 (talk) 18:44, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You gave a Good Article to Shamrock Rovers F.C. last March.[3] I thought you might be interested to know that you are being used by the main author to justify blanket reverts and accusations of vandalism.[4] He cites you a number of times (though not by name) in the discussion here. GA Sweeps update[edit]

Thanks to everyone's efforts to the GA Sweeps process, we are currently over 90% done with only 226 articles remain to be swept! As always, I want to thank you for using your time to ensure the quality of the older GAs. With over 50 members participating in Sweeps, that averages out to about 4 articles per person! If each member reviews an article once a week this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. At that point, awards will be handed out to reviewers. As an added incentive, if we complete over 100 articles reviewed this month, I will donate $100 to Wikipedia Forever on behalf of all GA Sweeps participants. I hope that this incentive will help to increase our motivation for completing Sweeps while supporting Wikipedia in the process. If you have any questions about reviews or Sweeps let me know and I'll be happy to get back to you. Again, thank you for taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 00:14, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, Nikki!

I'm Screwball, and I've recognized you as a strong contributor to WP:Professional Wrestling for as long as I've been with the Project. Recently, I've been undertaking a copyedit of the Linda McMahon article, and I would appreciate your help. I am especially having a tough time with her on-screen roles, which seem very in-perspective to me. You've made excellent wrestler biographies on Women's Champions before--please feel free to help edit, add valuable research, and give feedback. As always, I thank you in advance.

Okay, well for you to know I'm working on Love and Wilde in two subpages. Yeah, I've noticed that. It will be the next one I take to FL. Speaking of women's topics, to make sure List of WWE Women's Champions is still up to date and passes the FL criteria. I thought to tell you I'm going to re-expanded it. Your revert at Owen Hart[edit]

The fact that the WF Attitude game was dedicated to Owen Hart, is mentioned in the linked-to WF Attitude page in the statemtn, and even if that generally isn't good enough, there are just some things that are just so blatantly obvious that there's really no need to have an inline citation. Do we request a citation on Coca-Cola when it says it is a soft drink? NO! And why not? Because it is blatantly obvious and anyone requesting a source by adding a [citation needed] tag to the statement would be reverted without further notice or question.

But if you really think it needs to be sourced, add a [citation needed] tag instead of reverting. It is not hard to do, just type {{fact}} Easy as that. People who just revert things that aren't sourced simply because they cannot be constructive and find a source for a claim or at least tag it to acknowledge that a citation would be good, are more of a nuisance than a benefit to the Wikipedia project.

You would be best served taking my advice, otherwise I suggest that you stop editing Wikipedia. --BIG FOUR  ! ! ! ! 21:15, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

February GA Sweeps update[edit]

Progress as of January 2010

Thanks to everyone's efforts to the GA Sweeps process, we are currently over 95% done with around 130 articles left to be swept! Currently there are over 50 members participating in Sweeps, that averages out to about 3 articles per person! If each member reviews an article once a week this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. At that point, awards will be handed out to reviewers. Per my message last month, although we did not review 100 articles last month, I still made a donation of $90 (we had 90 reviews completed/initiated) to Wikipedia Forever on behalf of all GA Sweeps reviewers. I would like to thank everyone's efforts for last month, and ask for additional effort this month so we can be finished. I know you have to be sick of seeing these updates (as well as Sweeps itself) by now, so please do consider reviewing a few articles if you haven't reviewed in a while. If you have any questions about reviews or Sweeps let me know and I'll be happy to get back to you. Again, thank you for taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 02:43, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps Completed![edit]

Thanks to everyone's amazing efforts in February, we have reviewed all of the articles and are now finished with Sweeps! There are still about 30 articles currently on hold, and once those reviews are completed, I will send you a final message about Sweeps process stats including the total number of articles that were passed and failed. If you have one of these open reviews, be sure to update your count when the review is completed so I can compile the stats. You can except to receive your award for reviewing within the next week or two. Although the majority of the editors did not start Sweeps at the beginning in August 2007 (myself included), over 50 editors have all come together to complete a monumental task and improve many articles in the process. I commend you for sticking with this often challenging task and strengthening the integrity of the GA WikiProject as well as the GAs themselves. I invite you to take a break from reviewing (don't want you to burn out!) and then consider returning/starting to review GANs and/or contribute to GAR reviews. With your assistance, we can help bring the backlog down to a manageable level and help inspire more editors to improve articles to higher classes and consider reviewing themselves. Again, thank you for putting up with difficult reviews, unhappy editors, numerous spam messages from me, and taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of April. The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 200. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. Hope we can see you in April.

Request[edit]

Hey Nikki. I was wondering if you'd do me a favour. At Template:Portal/images (recently created) there's a list of photos that gets used on the Template:Portal. Each photo corresponds to each wikiproject. For some reason, we (WP:PW) are using File:Pankratiasten in fight copy of greek statue 3 century bC.jpg. Personally, I don't think that a photo of a statue of Greek men wrestling is relevant to pro wrestling, and was hoping you'd change the image to File:WWE ring.jpg, the image we use on the WP:PW talk page template. I'd do it myself, but Template:Portal/images is fully protected. The pro wrestling link is the 7th one down in the edit window, and as far I can tell, you need to change "| Professional wrestling = Pankratiasten in fight copy of greek statue 3 century bC.jpg" to "| Professional wrestling = WWE ring.jpg". Hey Nikki[edit]

Hey, seeing as you are the only admin in WP:PW, the project would like your help with something. We had a recent discussion about moving Oleg Prudius to Vladimir Kozlov and Chris Mordetzky to Chris Masters, and consensus was achieved at WT:PW. However, I can't make the moves myself nor can any of the other editors because of the lack of an admin. I did go to WP:RM, but I have yet to receive a response. Before the discussions get archived, the project would really appreciate if you could do the moves. Thanks in advance, Nikki! RaaGgio (talk) 01:29, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've reviewed several articles for GA like Desperate Housewives, but that was some time ago. I guess I should do more; I plan to renominate myself for RFA in 4-5 months so I have a lot of time to contribute in various parts of Wikipedia. I think I'll start researching the WP:MOS movie regulations and start to edit movie articles. Any particular part of Wikipedia you find the most interesting? RaaGgio (talk) 04:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated Brimstone (wrestler), an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brimstone (wrestler) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. -Fall Of Darkness (talk)

  • User BoosterBronze has added this tag for deletion to the page today, after repeated reverted edits to the article, and after a slight "rant" on the article's talk page. The article itself had been put up for deletion in 2007, and was voted as Keep- in fact, the new deletion tag links straight to the archived page, where BoosterBronze has added their own comment and vote to the already closed discussion. Not sure what to do as far as resolving, or removing the tag myself- any help would be appreciated. -Fall Of Darkness (talk) 00:02, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wondering[edit]

Not sure if you are still interested. But I find myself wondering what articles to work on these days. We had talked about taking Gail Kim and Jacqueline Moore to GA. Are you up for that?--WillC 04:38, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, do you want to do it in subpage or main article? I usually do subpage because ips like to change everything and I usually rewrite the entire thing.--WillC 21:09, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, several. Take your pick: User:Wrestlinglover/No Surrender (2008), User:Wrestlinglover/Sacrifice (2008), User:Wrestlinglover/Sandbox2, User:Wrestlinglover/Slammiversary (2008), User:Wrestlinglover/TNA Roster, and User:Wrestlinglover/Turning Point (2004). all my other ones are full with either current or future projects. It is rare I have an empty one, but lately I've been trying to get what I have saved already, done.--WillC 05:45, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good, I'll do her TNA section today and see what else I can find to do.--WillC 20:28, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Nikki, I've noticed you have added some more refs. Some of those have been directly from WWE. Due to Kim being covered by alot of reliable websites, can we try to keep the primary refs to as low as possible? Certainly Raw and SD episodes can be covered by third party sites pretty easily.--WillC 03:27, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to eavesdrop, but are you sure third-party sites are reliable sources for WWE results? That notion sounds a bit absurd knowing that these third-parties get their information from a fourth-party, and they have no way to confirm what they're reporting to be true. I have read a lot of errors on some third-party results; they could be as minimal as mixing up the moves used in a match, but the reality is that mixing up at least something usually happens in all these results pages. How and why do you consider these to be reliable enough to reference our Wikipedia articles? RaaGgio (talk) 03:58, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, using WWE is not exactly a problem, but according to main MoS, self-published sources, like WWE, should be used on a very rare occasion, and with WWE being the world's largest promotion, this information isn't exactly hard to find. That is just me though. We just have different views. I was just asking.--WillC 05:56, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In case you are wondering, to avoid edit conflicts, etc. I am working on the TNA section in a different subpage. Once I have completed rewriting and sourcing it I'll copy and paste it into the article.--WillC 04:24, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good, sorry I fell a bit behind. I was sick for about a week, stuff came up, and the floods in my town have been holding me from advancing. I'll finish my section tonight before I go to sleep. I got some time to kill.--WillC 04:01, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorrry, computer acted up last night, didn't get the chance to finish. I'll finish up the article tonight. Kim and Kong on GAN will be nice.--WillC 20:31, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, will be done tonight. Maybe the knockout title can be a topic soon. I've got Love and Wilde in subpages. After Kong and Kim become GAs then only ODB and Rayne would be left.--WillC 04:05, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I'm very very sorry it is taking me so long with Kim. I have been really drained lately and got so much stuff in real life to do, that when it comes to writing on here. I just don't have the train of thought, etc. I still plan to finish it soon. I got a report to finish today. So maybe by tonight afterwards, I'll get time to finish it.--WillC 21:01, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had originally planned it to not take this long. If we do another article in the future, I promise to be done before you are.--WillC 21:22, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message[edit]

It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving.
In response, this message is being sent to all editors listed in Category:WikiProject Professional wrestling participants to say that anyone who does not list their name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active before May 16 will be automatically listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, and will no longer receive the newsletter or any notification of it. If you are added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, please feel free to remove your name if you desire.
If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter as normal, please add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active. If you simply wish to receive notification of a new issue, but not have the full newsletter delivered to your talk page, please add your name to the notification only list.

Hallowicked help[edit]

Hi. I'm asking for your help, since I've written a completely new article on Chikara wrestler Hallowicked, but his page is currently protected and can't be edited by anyone other than an admin. His notability was up for discussion in January 2007 and now over three years later I don't think there's any question whether he's notable enough for Wikipedia or not.TheFBH (talk) 15:38, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Nikki! How are you? I haven't spoken with you since we tried to work on the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, sorry for ditching you :( After that project, I lost my time with Wikipedia. Deepest Apologies[edit]

I'm so very sorry at my lack of work towards completion of Gail Kim. In all honesty, I have really lost all desire to continue writing on wikipedia anymore. With just a faint level of interest left, I've decided to return and finish articles I have created. My first priority is to finish Gail Kim. Just thought to come by and say I am very sorry and that I understand if you never want to work with me again. My deepest apologies Nikki!--WillC 23:54, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well thank you Nikki, that means alot coming from you. :) Once I get the chance to return full time like I was, I'll jump back into my old ways. Throwing out PPVs and FLs every week. Maybe you and I can think of something to work on. Probably that Knockout Topic. You got 3 down already, while I have one. With Gail Kim soon to be done, that will leave only 3 left. I already have worked on Love and Wilde, I may be able to pull those out too.--WillC 06:46, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nikki, thanks for your help!!! :-)

I agree the article is not exactly Good Article quality at the moment. My take is that the GAN process is a lot better at bringing in people than the request for peer review. Either way, I want to make my intentions clear that this article is very good for a B article and, with constructive feedback, it could be brought up a rung sometime soon. --Screwball23 talk 19:48, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can see you feel that I hurt your feelings and didn't follow your advice. The truth is, from the time you reviewed it, I was overrun by competing priorities. I agreed with some of your advice, and appreciate the time you took to review it. I find no reason why you say I am not open to feedback. I have negotiated points on the page repeatedly, and just because we have differences of opinion doesn't mean your views weren't constructive. --Screwball23 talk 03:50, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

FINALLY[edit]

I have completed the TNA section of Gail Kim in my subpage. Later today I'll look over it and do a quick copyedit then nominate it at GA. Thought to tell you so you could look at it if you wanted. I am very sorry it took me this long Nikki!--WillC 10:04, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

During my copyedit I noticed a few questionable references. Mainly Gerweck.net and a reference sourcing her eat defeat move. The gerweck one is an interview so I just let it pass. While the eat defeat ref is a forum, but it is the forum to Kim's official site. I'm not sure whether to keep it or remove it when Kim, herself, posted on it stating that was the name of it. What are your thoughts?--WillC 01:50, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It either was the space between the url and the title (http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwesuperstars/archive/06032010/ | title=Captain jacked) or that the WWE link wasn't completed. I fixed it. Thanks, I was in the middle of looking through tv reports to see if I could find a replacement. Now I don't have too. Also, what do you think of the BMI reference used to cover her entrance music? I don't know what BMI is.--WillC 02:38, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've been looking for a new reference for the PWI Female 50 for 2008, you know where I can find one?--WillC 04:12, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, Kim has been moved and nominated. I'm done with my copyedit, etc. Sorry it took me this long to get this done. I should have got it done quicker, seeing as I am the one who came up with the idea. All I need now is a PWI 50 Female reference and it is complete. The one in there I don't think is reliable, but I can't seem to find a good replacement. Well, now in 2 months the article will be reviewed and you'll be one step closer to the WWE Women's Title topic and I'll pull out Wilde and Love so that will mean the Knockouts Title will be close as well. Maybe we can work on Ms. Jackie together? You up for it?--WillC 08:51, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that is the problem, I don't know any of the information for it. Like when it was published, its name, etc. I just know there is a list, but not sure which issue. Seeing as alot of sources posted the info in September I would assume either the August or September 08 issue. I feel that WrestleView has the list somewhere on their site since I remember looking at it, but I've looked several times and nothing.--WillC 03:16, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good job on Eddie, the article is looking good.--WillC 05:56, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Though I'd come by and tell you I'm going to work on the List of Divas Champions and have it at FLC by the end of the week. That way your topic will be only one article off.--WillC 06:52, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I've been watching your progress on Eddie. For some reason I have that sandbox watchlisted. You are doing a good job. Okay, I'll be waiting to hear from you. Reply[edit]

Smoking is not a male characteristic, fool. And for you to assume it is on my talkpage, was blatantly sexist trolling. Your flawed, sexist reasoning of cigarette-smoking being a male trait doesn't support the term "androgynous" remaining in the article in any way, shape, or form. In addition, the word would have to describe behavior that's both feminine and masculine. According to you, smoking is only masculine which is the most sexist and preposterous thing I've ever heard. 66.175.205.216 (talk) 02:00, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Nikki! Long time no talk; hope you're doing good. No, as far as I can see, everything looks good - just remember to add the GTC templates to the talk pages. The only other thing is the FL - who worked on it to get it up to FL status? They should probably be credited as well, and perhaps User:ThinkBlue. She worked with me on a couple of the GAs. European Wrestling Association/Kovac/Isaksen/Rabber[edit]

I have to ask, if all of the above don't meet with the WP:GNG or WP:ENTERTAINER, than how come pages such as Michael Majalahti, Fight Club Finland, Hajime Ohara, XWA (professional wrestling) do meet with the WP:GNG or WP:ENTERTAINER? Where's the difference between the importance of those wwrestlers and promotions? And I'm not suggestion those pages should get deleted, so please don't put words into my keyboard.User_talk:Notaussie

So instead of trying to give a hand and help out you just like to see pages that have a place on Wikipedia get deleted? Seriously I have to ask - Why?

You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/July 9, 2011. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article directors Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. Talk page delete[edit]

Hey Nikki, would you mind deleting Talk:Against All Odds (2008)? It has a glitch or something, it won't let me edit the text in it and comes up empty. Question[edit]

Hey Nikki, I know you aren't that active much anymore, but I was wondering if you would mind if I re-expanded NWA World Women's Championship. I plan to connect it with a TNA topic on titles I've been working on since forever. I found some info it was defended in TNA at one point, which would make it a TNA Title to an extent. It was passed in 2007 and probably could use some updating. Since you nominated it I wanted to come to you first.--WillC 04:22, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

MSU Interview[edit]

Dear Nikki311,

My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the communityHERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.

So a few things about the interviews:

  • Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
  • Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
  • All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
  • All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
  • The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.

Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your nameHERE instead.

If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.

Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.206.39 (talk) 03:36, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)[edit]

Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.

If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Hey Nikki[edit]

Billy Reil here, former Pro Wrestler, current actor. I saw that you edited my page a while back, and while I've Never tried to edit this page, I know that a few 'haters' went on my page and wrote all kinds of moronic shit to make it look like it was me putting myself over. I was never into doing that, I let my work speak for me and my accolades. I guess the reason why I'm sending you this letter is to ask you to edit this page , maybe like an update. There was truths that got deleted as well, and for my fans and friends I;d like for them to see what I am doing these days. I retired as a Pro Wrestler after I suffered a career ending head injury caused by a ringa nnouncer with 22 inch arms sucker punch me while I was doing a heel Promo at The Taj Mahal before my opponent the Sandman was waiting for his music to be cued, As far as my acting career goes, I've done law and order:svu,a feature with Jason Statham, and in my first lead role was nominated for Best Actor out of a field of 700 of the best indy actors. Here is the link, let me know what you think. This is an extended edit,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgqHYPvWkIs Also I was offered a role to play the joker in a short film called "Harley's Man", the cript was originally a fan made film, and sent to warner bros. Now that Chris Nolyn is done doing The Batman Series, who was adamant about ever having another actor playing the Joker. However in Dark Knight Rises, they leave the Joker's fate being open ended, as the jail was opened. Luckily for me Warner Bros, who have never heard of me is seriously considering me for the role when the do the reboot. Here is the trailer for that, and I'd love yo get your opinion. It was hardest role I ever had to do because I couldn't copy Romero, Nicholson,Ledger or even Marc Hamils voice at that, and There is no real such thing as acting, what it really is emotionally recalling times in your own life, and how you felt and you apply them to the words. Sorry that I'm railing over here. I hope you get this message, and if you can respond to me, my e-mail is billyreil1999@gmail.com Also I don't have a picture on my wiki, and id you can add one that would be awesome,

Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity[edit]

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Good Article Nominations Request For Comment[edit]

A 'Request For Comment' for Good Article Nominations is currently being held. We are asking that you please take five to ten minutes to review all seven proposals that will affect Good Article Nominations if approved. Full details of each proposal can be found here. Please comment on each proposal (or as many as you can) here.

At this time, Proposal 1, 3, and 5 have received full (or close to) support.

If you have questions of anything general (not related to one specif proposal), please leave a message under the General discussion thread.

Please note that Proposal 2 has been withdrawn and no further comments are needed. Also, please disregard Proposal 9 as it was never an actual proposal.

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre[edit]

Hello! Now, some of you might be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:
  • Recruiters: The main task of a recruiter is to teach users that have never reviewed a Good article nomination how to review one. To become a recruiter, all you have to do is meet this criteria. If we don't get at least 5-10 recruiters to start off with, the Recruitment Centre will not open. If interested, make sure you meet the criteria, read the process and add your name to the list of recruiters. (One of the great things about being a recruiter is that there is no set requirement of what must be taught and when. Instead, all the content found in the process section is a guideline of the main points that should be addressed during a recruitment session...you can also take an entire different approach if you wish!) If you think you will not have the time to recruit any users at this time but are still interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still add your name to the list of recruiters but just fill in the "Status" parameter with "Not Available".
  • Co-Director: The current Director for the centre is me (Dom497). Another user that would be willing to help with some of the tasks would be helpful. Tasks include making sure recruiters are doing what they should be (teaching!), making sure all recruitments are archived correctly, updating pages as needed, answering any questions, and distributing the feedback form. If interested, please contact me (Dom497).
  • Nominators, please read this: If you are not interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still help. In some cases a nominator may have an issue with an "inexperienced" editor (the recruitee) reviewing one of their nominations. To minimize the chances of this happening, if you are fine with a recruitee reviewing one of your nominations under the supervision of the recruiter, please add your name to the list at the bottom of this page. By adding your name to this list, chances are that your nomination will be reviewed more quickly as the recruitee will be asked to choose a nomination from the list of nominators that are OK with them reviewing the article.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along.

A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk)

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre[edit]

Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).

So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer?
