Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, NoelJohnBAlberto. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:04, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "NoelJohnBAlberto", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it implies that this account is used by multiple people. Create one account per person, change your password and request a username change, if this is the case, immediately, please. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:05, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Additional note: If you coordinate editing outside of Wikipedia with multiple accounts, you need to disclose these connections, for example in response to this message, or on your user page (Special:MyPage while logged in). Undisclosed coordination with multiple accounts could else be interpreted as "meatpuppetry". ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:08, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Drm310. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mid-Atlantic Union of Vietnamese Student Associations, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 01:12, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at User talk:Drm310, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 03:47, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
