Non-notable awards[edit]

Please don't include non-notable awards in articles. Articles aren't a trivia list of every thing ever, it's for notable accomplishments. The general rule is if there isn't an article for the award, it shouldn't be listed. Ravensfire (talk) 14:45, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are many pages of celebrities where non-notable awards have been included. Either this thing should be applied to all or to none. Orios2.0 (talk) 21:16, 3 December 2020

It should, and generally as I work on an article, I try to get everything. The answer to something not being right is not to keep doing it because somewhere else it's also wrong, the answer is to fix the problem in front of you. There's an essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS that gets more into this. Let's not make things worse, but gradually improve. Ravensfire (talk) 18:12, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I understand. Orios2.0 (talk) 02:35, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic edits[edit]

These award additions at Rashami Desai are very poorly sourced. Search engine results are not references. Read our reliable sourcing guidelines and WP:ICTFSOURCES so you can figure out what qualifies. The Gold Awards entry is supported by a photo gallery that doesn't even mention that Desai won an award. Big Star is totally unsourced. The Apsara Award you claimed she won was attributed to IMDb, which is not a reliable source, but even if it were, at the top of the page it says Indian Telly Awards, not Apsara. Lastly, the Gold Award nomination you said she received was (according to the host) for Best Actor Popular Female not Best Actress in a Leading Role.

You need to get up to speed on what constitutes a reliable source, and you also need to make sure that your references match your content, and that the details you submit matches the facts in those references. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:25, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
