Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Orlianrow, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! A tag has been placed on Draft:Orli Anrow - EP, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:41, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jimfbleak, I am responding to your deletion of My Draft: Orli Anrow - EP. I read about creating an article, and I am aware that creating an article about myself is discouraged. However, I wrote a very neutral article which in no way promoted me, but only gave further information about a release of mine. When reviewing other artist’s pages, they also provide background of their projects, which could also be interpreted as promoting based on my understanding. As a first time writer, I suggested that the information can be modified and edited by you and other editors to match Wikipedia’s requirements. This was a test draft on my part since I have a upcoming double album project for which I would like to add an article soon. Can you explain the difference between me writing a neutral article about me, or me giving the same article to a stranger? Would you please read my article again, and if you still believe it wasn’t unbiased or neutral, I will accept your decision to remove it. Finally, If you choose to deny my article, could you direct me to someone who can write about/or edit my musical releases. Perhaps yourself, or a writer who can submit such articles. Again, I would just like to give further information about my releases and give background about the projects. I have seen music articles of other unsigned artists, so please help me understand. Thank you for your time! Orlianrow (talk) 07:51, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. You said in no way promoted me, but only gave further information about a release of mine. —that's pretty much the definition, especially when you add "EP" to your name in case we might otherwise have missed what you are promoting. Articles about people should be titled with just their name, articles titled for an album should be significant in their own right. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that you meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the subject organisation company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company organisation he claims or interviewing him its management. Your text had no in-line references at all, so we can't verify anything you've said. You had a list of references at the bottom, but even if we knew what facts each was supporting, none are acceptable since they most likely are written by you or your management, and aren't independent third-party sources.
  • I can't see any indication from your text as to how you meet the notability criteria for music linked above. It's a debut album, and there is nothing such as a contract with a major label or chart placings to show you meet those criteria. If you don't you won't get an article here, at best it's WP:Too soon
  • it was written in a promotional tone. I've seen worse, but articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Stuff like journey from Bulgaria to America for the last 7 years, and the many projects he has written and produced for solo and joint projects with Justin. He also stated that his dream was to be mentored by Justin Timberlake, who inspired him to pursue music, and who he felt shared artistic similarities. is just you talking about yourself, with no independently verifiable facts at all.
  • it's all about what the company organisation sells, little about the company organisation itself other than locations. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, turnover or profits funding or expenditure.
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.

The fact that other articles have not been deleted doesn't help you, either they met the criteria or should be deleted as well. See What about article x?. Also note that many articles would have been accepted before the notability guidelines were made stricter.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article.

You said direct me to someone who can write about/or edit my musical releases. . If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your recording is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also guidance for editors with conflicts of interest and writing about yourself.

However, the basic problem whether you write yourself or ask someone else is that you will have to show how you or your release meets our notability requirements. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:04, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to reply, you can do so on my talk page. You can alternatively leave a message on this page, and I will know you have done so if you start it with my user name, User:Jimfbleak and sign it with four tildes ~~~~ when you post it. That will send me an alert.

Hello again, I saw your response. “Orli Anrow - EP” is the name of the project as well as my artist name. It’s self-titled since it’s my first project. Thank you for your response, I have a better understanding now. Based on what you said, the article should be fine if the “Promotion and release” section is removed since you can’t verify it. The rest is mentioned in the references. If you really insist you can also remove the names of the other artists I mentioned. They are stated on my verified page on Genius, but if that’s not enough, no problem. So the article will just have basic info like song background, places of recording and the track listing which would suffice. Here is a similar example I found. I appreciate your help. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Slumdon_Bridge Orlianrow (talk) 19:32, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Златко Живков requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Information icon Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page Златко Живков to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. Thank you. You have replied on my talk page to a comment I made earlier regarding the use of English. I say again, as another editor here has told you, the article will be deleted if not translated into English, There are no exceptions to this policy.----Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:26, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I took your translation into English that you (Orlianrow) supplied on the talk page, and transformed the article into a proper English article for its place here on English Wikipedia. Then you changed it back to Bulgarian. I've reversed your changes. Is "This is English Wikipedia" not clear? Largoplazo (talk) 20:55, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with my article (English and Bulgarian)

[edit]

Hello, I submitted the English translated version of the article. Then I proceeded to create a Bulgarian version on Bulgarian Wikipedia, where for some reason I wasn't able to publish it. Wikipedia is making it too difficult to post a simple page and I don't understand why. I created an English and a Bulgarian page at the designated places, I provided enough references and information and edited what was suggested. Please explain why I'm still facing problems. Another thing that I don't understand is that based on the long and thorough process that is required to make a Wikipedia page (which is accepted), how is Wikipedia not a credible source of information. That makes no sense to me. I am required to post many sources that state my article is credible and I have done so. The English translated version is on the talk page, the Bulgarian one isn't getting published. What am I supposed to do to get my articles on Wikipedia? If another editor needs to modify it or submit it on my behalf, they can do so. Please help, I'm trying to contribute! Orlianrow (talk) 08:38, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I responded to the above where you left a copy of it on my talk page, User talk:Largoplazo#Problem with my article (English and Bulgarian). Largoplazo (talk) 13:24, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Orlianrow. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Zlatko Zhivkov".

Your recent editing history at Kevin Samuels shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
stop restoring an incorrect birthdate, this has been endlessly discussed in multiple pages including the talk page. If you have issues, take it there but stop editing the article and stop doing so without an actual edit summary PRAXIDICAE🌈 14:04, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
