If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Christ the King College (CKC) Onitsha, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Safiel (talk) 00:24, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 00:42, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Christ the King College (CKC) Onitsha. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 00:44, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Christ the King College (CKC) Onitsha, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 00:45, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reported to AIV

[edit]

Hi Oseloka Obaze, this is a notice to let you know that I have reported your removal of speedy deletion templates at Christ the King College (CKC) Onitsha to administrators. An administrator should assess the report in a short while, and they will take any appropriate actions. Please wait for an administrator before taking any further actions yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 00:50, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicts of interest

[edit]

Since you appear to be intimately connected with this organization (as Secretary. according to the PDF linked from http://www.ckconitshausa.net/Executives.html ) you should, before any further editing regarding the school, consult this page regarding the Wikipedia guidelines on Conflict of Interest and WP:NPV regarding the Wikipedia Neutrality policy. Basically, you are welcome to edit articles unconnected with the school you are attempting to promote, but stay away from promoting your school. If any part of this is unclear to you please contact me on my talkpage. Tonywalton Talk 01:50, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Hello Oseloka Obaze. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Christ the King College Onitsha, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 20:53, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

CKC 'notable' alumni

[edit]

The list of alumni is, at present, just a list of names. Perhaps some of these people have true notability, perhaps not. Wikipedia requires citations for them. otherwise they will face removal from the list. A good school article with cited notable alumni is Epsom College, where each alumnus has, or soon will have, a proper citation from a reliable source. Are you aware of any sources with citations both that these people attended CKC and are independently notable? Fiddle Faddle (talk) 11:14, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not leave articles in a mess

[edit]

I have corrected your abortive edit in the CKC article. Please, when it all goes wrong like this, please go back to a previous revision. Do not leave things like that if at all possible. PLease learn to use the citation button. I suggest most strongly you play in your sandbox before unleashing this on a real article. If oyu click the 'web button after pressing cite, and enter the url of the page you are citing in the url field and then click and wait for a moment for things to happen most of the work is usually done for you. Please fill out as much of the rest as there is data for in the page you are citing. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 16:34, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can find and create your sandbox here: User:Oseloka Obaze/sandbox Fiddle Faddle (talk) 16:38, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
PLEASE try to learn how to do this, otherwise please just give up. Every edit you make causes a huge mess Fiddle Faddle (talk) 00:57, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I know you are trying hard. I am sure it is just that you do not understand the way I have tried to explain things here, so I am looking for another editor to help you. We all advise and learn in different ways, after all. Please would you at least wait for their assistance and guidance and experiment in your sandbox until then? A message from another editor

[edit]

Hey, I'm andy4789, a Wikipedia volunteer just like you. I've seen you are interested in the Christ the King College Onitsha article, but your good faith edits aren't particularly in form with Wikipedia's standards. I have fixed them, but it would be best if your edits kept the layout in the first place. Thanks for making the changes, but please read some of the links in the huge coloured box at the top of this page to learn more about editing. Thank you. --andy4789 · (talk? contribs?) 18:23, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I hope Andy4789 will be able to explain things better than I was doing :). We're all the same status, just ordinary folk with a hobby. We all just want WIkipedia to be the best it can be. Sorry I wasn't able to explain things well enough to help you properly. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 19:50, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please enter into a dialogue with us

[edit]

Please enter into a dialogue with us. I am sure you feel that many of your efforts have been confounded and may be becoming exasperated. The fact is that we wish to help Wikipedia to become better. That means we have an interest i all articles becoming better. The problem is that you, having received an excellent education at CKC, seem either unable or unwilling to get to grips with some basic requirements for Wikipedia and writing top quality articles.

I know, because I have seen you try, that you want the best references you can achieve for the missing elements in the CKC article. In order to do that you need, please, to stop and read some things here.

I have tried very hard to describe citations to you higher up on this page. Please, please, read that section and learn how to use it. Correcting what you have done imperfectly is becoming tedious, the more so since I know you are more than capable of doing this yourself.

Please learn about Reliable Sources and use only reliable sources.

Please ask us for any other help you need. We want to help. We are helping. We'd like very much to help you to learn how to do these things without help. You can ask on this page, here. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 16:12, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
