The article Honesto Ongtioco has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jacques-Marie-Adrien-Césaire Mathieu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cardinal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Benedetto Aloisi Masella may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • | other_post = {{unbulleted list|[[Archpriest]] of the [[Basilica of St. John Lateran]] (1954-1970|Chamberlain of the Holy Roman Church of Apostolic Camera (1958-1970)}}

Pellegrina images

I believe you are the author of the images of the pellegrina as worn by different ranks of clergy. Shouldn't the pectoral cross (in whatever metal or colour you represent it) be removed from the image of a priest? It's part of episcopal dress, but not of the regulation dress of priests in the Catholic Church. The photograph of a group of priests with pellegrina does not, of course, show them wearing pectoral crosses. Esoglou (talk) 07:42, 13 July 2014 (UTC)  Done

Please answer the question there. --Maxxl2 (talk) 10:26, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Replaceable fair use File:Seal of the National Economic and Development Authority.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Seal of the National Economic and Development Authority.svg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:31, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello. I'm sorry but I misuploaded the file. The logo should have been in public domain. I had revisited the website of the National Economic Development Authority (http://www.neda.gov.ph/) after seeing your message and have found on the footer/bottom of the page that all content is in public domain ("All content is in the public domain unless otherwise stated.") Do you know how it could be moved to the Commons with a new license? Thank you. --J-Ronn (talk) 08:22, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi J-Ronn. Thanks for the message. I left my reply on the file's talk page. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:30, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Philippine government logos

Hi J-Ronn. I understand that you have nominated File:Department of Agrarian Reform.png for deletion at Commons and have uploaded File:Logo of the Department of Agrarian Reform.svg to Wikipedia as a non-free replacement. Be advised, however, that a similar non-free file File:Department of Agrarian Reform logo.svg was just recently deleted by RHaworth only a few weeks ago. I think RHaworth also deleted some other Phillipine governmental logos per WP:F8. So, if you going to nominate any more files for deletion on Commons, then you might be able to get them to undelete the other non-free versions for you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:07, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Looks like I've messed up again. I came across Wikipedia's page of Philippine copyright laws and found that works of government are not to be copyrighted. This caused me confusion and so I'd rather stop uploading seals and logos of the government as I may be "breaking the law" already. Honestly, I'm tired of this unclearness if the logos are non-free or PD. I'll stop with the seals now, I'm sorry for taking your time on the copies at the Commons and Wikipedia. --J-Ronn (talk) 15:49, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
The problem is that Wikipedia and Commons have interpreted the law differently. According to Wikipedia, Philippine government works are non-free, see {{Non-free Philippines government}}. Commons has come to a different conclusion, deciding that such works are in the public domain, see {{PD-PhilippinesGov}}. This is an unfortunate situation which should ideally be solved in one way or another, unclear how. --Stefan2 (talk) 12:17, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
