Comment

[edit]

I did note the comment you left on Talk:Fly Fierra. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I'm afraid the article still did have to be deleted. First off, significant portions of the article (if not all of it) were copied and pasted from another website. This is a copyright infringement, and I'm afraid there can be no negotiation on those—we have to delete them. Articles should be written in the author's own words, never copied and pasted from other sites. Secondly, the material was clearly promotional. We require that articles be neutral in both tone and content. Finally, the "references" cited were just other Wikipedia articles. We require that references be reliable sources produced independently of the article subject, and that covers the article subject to reasonable depth. If such reference material does not exist, it's not appropriate for us to have an article on that subject at all. I hope that helps to clear things up. You may want to get some experience editing existing articles before creating new ones. Determining if a topic is appropriate for a new article, and then putting together that article, is one of the more challenging things we do, so it may not be the best thing to do right out of the gate. Seems the softer approach didn't work, so let's be clearer. You may not post promotional material anywhere on Wikipedia, including on your user page or in your user space. If you should do so once again, you will be blocked from editing. I'm happy to help you with any questions, but if you should ignore this and plow ahead once again with the advertising, I'm afraid there will be no other choice but to revoke your editing privileges.
