Welcome to Wikipedia, Pbeesley! I'm I dream of horses, and I've been assigned as your mentor. About half of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.

You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.

If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

Again, welcome to Wikipedia! I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 04:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, I dream of horses. I've placed a two-part query in the following section, hope that is clear! I'd be very grateful for your suggestions. -Philip Pbeesley (talk) 13:16, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Please help me with...two questions, a) to fix the article that appears, and b) to ask for help in requesting biographical authoring by others. a) to fix the article: Can you help provide sufficient information within the "Philip Beesley" article satisfying Wikipedia standards and permitting removal of the banner "This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. (January 2023)"? Note that within the Edit History, authorship by "PBSI/LASG" appears. That indicates authorship by an employee of PBSI/LASG, the associated company "Philip Beesley Studio Inc. [PBSI]" and "Living Architecture Systems Group [LASG]", the non-profit knowledge-creation partnership. Can this disclosure satisfy Wikipedia standards, and can cleanup be provided in order to comply with Wikipedia's content policies? I am Philip Beesley, the subject of this article. I recently edited the article and am identified as "Pbeesley" for those edits. b) help in requesting biographical authoring: I note that Wikipedia discourages autobiography. I respect this, while hoping that a fairly detailed biography that provides dissemination and research access to a range of my relevant books, artworks and related creative projects might be possible. Can I ask for help with suggestions of effective ways to request biographical authoring by others within the Wikipedia community? Pbeesley (talk) 12:54, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure of paid editing is only one half of the {{UPE}} tag at the top of the page. Even if a paid editor (or one with a COI in general) makes the appropriate disclosures, their edits to the article in question may still be problematic from a sourcing or neutrality standpoint. If you (as the article subject) feel that the article is neutrally-worded and properly sourced, you can ask that the tag be removed on the article's talk page. If uninvolved editors determine that the tag can be removed, it will be removed. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 14:38, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
