Resolution near (?) on how to entitle Tony Sandel's lists[edit]

Please visit Talk:List_of_works_portraying_adult_attraction_to_young_males#Requested_move. Tony has accepted a proposal for a new title that may put to rest objections dating back to late 2006. Your input in the next few days could be quite helpful.

Note that we all seem to have accepted your assistance with the form ("List of .......") Thanks! SocJan (talk) 20:41, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scholar/Area studies stub[edit]

Hi Peg - I've made a suggestion and comments re scholar/areastudies-bio stub at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Stub_sorting/Proposals/2008/February#Scholar-stub_types - your input would be welcome, especially as Otebig (he of the CentralAsia-studies-stub at SFD) is beginning to get a little impatient about what's happening :) Grutness...wha? 08:29, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I left the same message in the Template talk page, but just in case you don't get there soon...

I was thinking that having the provincial flag instead of the COA might make for an easier identification... After all, the Buenos Aires Province COA and the Argentina COA are very similar, but the flag is very distinctive... Besides, the flag is available as an SVG, while the provincial COA is a GIF. What do you think? dockingmantalk 03:57, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the support, I just made the change. Cheers! dockingmantalk 05:42, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent work[edit]

Hi I noticed the new Provincial stubs for Argentina, I will take care to use them next time I create an Argentina Geography article. Perhaps you should publicise them on the Wikipedia:Argentina-related regional notice board so that people know that they exist. Kind regards English peasant 03:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MagicCity.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:MagicCity.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:45, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uncategorised Sweden-geo-stubs[edit]

I think I should be able to produce that from the toolserver, if it's not too "lagged" at present, and my brain will cooperate in writing the query. But to clarify: are you looking for articles with no non-stub cats at all? Or those with no "county" category? (As I mentioned at /P, many of them seem to have provincial cats instead, particularly the articles on the hundreds.) Alai (talk) 04:22, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Impressive. Perhaps I'll run a county-breakdown query instead, then, and start splitting out county stub types, if that's indeed feasible yet. Alai (talk) 04:42, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Magnoli*[edit]

I've come across quite a number of stubs lately that were incorrectly labelled as {{Magnoliales-stub}}. Finally I checked one of the articles to see where these errors were coming from, and that article, at least, had been mis-sorted by your good self. Please be advised that "magnoliid", "Magnoliophyta", "Magnoliopsida", "Magnoliidae", "Magnoliales", "Magnoliaceae", "Magnolioideae" and "Magnolia" do not all refer to the same thing. They are distinct taxa/clades at different ranks. Hesperian 05:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorting stubs alphabetically[edit]

Well, that was queek. What you suggested I tried on The Cambridge Dictionary of Philosophy. Maybe it works but has not yet been recorded (there is sometimes a delay). I'll see. When I see that it works, I'll let you know. Otherwise I'll continue to doubt (as my name so entitles; ). Thx, HP. --Thomasmeeks (talk) 17:14, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Unable to load Stub Types.[edit]

I've had the same trouble as you loading Wikipedia:WikiProject_Stub_sorting/Stub_types. I'm using Windows Vista SP1 with Firefox 2.0.0.14. At the moment I'm using WikiProject Stub sorting/List of stubs, which I have Bookmarked on my Firefox Toolbar. How do I Link this page so it can be used on members User Pages? The Seventh Coin[edit]

Hi! Would you mind editing a page called the Seventh coin? I added to that page recently? Here's the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seventh_Coin Thanks!Neptunekh (talk) 00:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Re:Creating Stub Templates[edit]

I've just created my first Stub Template and Category Category:United States mast stubs using simplified markup at Wikipedia:Stub#New_stub_templates. It has been added to The Stub Sorting list, is there anywhere else it should be listed? What should I do when there is only a Category on the To Create list, Example Cat:Architectural history stubs? Kathleen.wright5 13:00, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is this strictly necessary, anyway? Category:mast stubs only has 118 articles... Alai (talk) 15:05, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
At the time it was approved, (August 2006 Category:Mast stubs had over 500 articles. Maybe not so useful now; usually it's a good idea to check out the permcat first. I will assign a stub category to the template anyway. Her Pegship (tis herself) 15:16, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
