Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Astronaut shadow AS11-40-5930.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Duplicate images uploaded

HMT Bedfordshire

Hello. I noticed that you added a {{fact}} tag at the above article to the following sentence: "The abbreviation HMT - 'His Majesty's Trawler' - identifies the Bedfordshire as a non-commissioned ship." I'm not sure what you're asking for here. A cite to verify the definition of the term? A cite to verify the application of the prefix to this ship? Or both? I just got word that a book related to this came in for me via interlibrary loan today, so hopefully I'll be able to flesh out the article more thoroughly soon. Hi. My query involves the assertion of Bedforshire's status as a "non-commissioned ship". My understanding is that a ship is in commission when an officer has been appointed to command her. this is a 19th century article describing putting a ship in commision. I would take a guess that Bedfordshire may have been commissioned as 'His Majesty's Trawler' but was still 'His Majesty's Ship' by common use of language. Or vice versa. So I'd assume both HMS and HMT are appropriate and should both get a mention somewhere as they are in the bbc reference. My interest in this technicality derives from a discussion regarding the appropriate title for the Bounty (of mutiny fame) where a parallel situation is currently under debate. I've asked User:Benea to join in here, as he's vastly more knowledgeable about the RN than I am, and has top-notch sources. On a different topic, I note that when you joined WP:SHIPS you expressed an interest in exploration/discovery ships. Is there a particular period or region you're interested in? We are lacking articles on many of the ships used to explore Antarctica in the early 1900s; any help there would be more than welcome. Maralia (talk) 02:59, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

I just changed the disputed statement to "The use of both HMT - 'His Majesty's Trawler', and HMS - 'His Majesty's Ship' for vessels of this type is well attested by official records." (I haven't said which records but they're easily found) These ships flew the white ensign, and were engaged in offensive actions. They were crewed by naval officers (albeit reservists) who received military decorations[1],[2], including the VC. Additionally This page gives a commissioning date for an HMT. According to my understanding of the term, these facts distinguish these ships as "commissioned" in contrast to "non-commissioned" ships such as ships of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary which are civilian crewed and fly a blue ensign. I have found troopships which are sometimes referred to as HMT which were civillian crewed hence not-commissioned. Hope that clears things up - unless of course you find evidence to the contrary. Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase

Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that.
