If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shubham upadhyay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. GILO   A&E 16:20, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a place for writing about yourself - there are sites like Myspace and LinkedIn for that, but Wikipedia is different - it is a project to build an encyclopedia. Article subjects have to be WP:Notable, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." See also WP:Notability (people) and WP:42. Even for someone who is notable, writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at WP:Autobiography.

If you want to help build the encyclopedia, you are welcome, and a "userpage" at User:Pevjack is available for personal information about yourself. When adding personal information please remember that Wikipedia is not a social network such as MySpace or Facebook. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project, and is mainly intended to help communication with the other volunteers who are here to help build the encyclopedia. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page, and the links in the welcome message above, for more information. JohnCD (talk) 17:02, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
