PRC maps[edit]

Oh, because there are two sets of maps. One set I made earlier, and doesn't show Aksai Chin greyed out. The other set I made later, and does show Aksai Chin greyed out. Set 1 was uploaded to English Wikipedia first; I made Set 2 and uploaded it to Commons later, because it doesn't have any language labels. So I think someone probably deleted a few of the Set 1 maps from tne English Wikipedia to allow Set 2 to show through.

I know it's inconsistent, and I'll fix it one of these days. -- ran (talk) 13:28, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for your contributions to some Hong Kong-related articles. You might be interested to take a look at HK wikipedians' notice board, HK Collaboration of the Week and Current events in Hong Kong and Macao. Happy editing! — Instantnood 18:32, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, I haven't, and that's really impressive -- thanks for the link. --Pkchan 18:40, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hong Kong / China / East Asia Current Event Merge[edit]

I understand that there really wasn't much of a consensus regarding some of the current event pages, but the Current events in Hong Kong and Macao page and Current events in China page hadn't been updated in months. What problem do you have with the merge? joturner 16:43, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Replied at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Current events#Sub-Article Merges. --Pkchan 16:55, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template: Nat fs player[edit]

Hi. I noticed you made the national player template that includes a Caps column. I wanted to know if the caps is supposed to be 1.Games played at the respective tournament, 2.Games played in career up to tournament but not including it, 3. Games played in career up to and including tournament, or 4. Career total games played. I made the squad lists for World Cups from 1930-62. But I left out the caps because I was unsure. I have seen some filled in differently so I was confused. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Libro0 (talkcontribs) .

I've moved your question at Template talk:National football squad player so that another editors of the template may join in the discussion as well. --Pkchan 22:25, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spain squad[edit]

Cheers for reverting those ugly bold names. I wasn't sure which links worked for each player so left well alone. Wish people wouldn't just do thing like that when it's been discussed already. Anyway again cheers. --Jimmmmmmmmm 12:35, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't 100% sure about each of them and some of them (eg Raúl) are really more about convention than anything else. Anyway I hope I have done the right thing and have made the list more readable and consistent over all. --Pkchan 14:48, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

World Cup Sponsorship AfD[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I’ve made some rather large additions to 2006 FIFA World Cup sponsorship and would appreciate if you could take a look at them and possibly reconsider your comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2006 FIFA World Cup sponsorship. I thought it was a worthy topic, even though it had a wretched article, so I added information about revenue and the sponsorship process, the sponsor related controversies of this World Cup (tickets distribution, Budweiser in Germany, Mcdonalds at a sporting event), and took out the copyvios. Please take a look. Thanks! Vickser 19:41, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great effort. It seems that my help is not needed any more now that the AfD has been closed, but still, cheers! --Pkchan 04:24, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you weigh in on this?[edit]

I'd like to bring forth a more definite agreement on what to do about archiving the current events article for Hong Kong. Could you join the discussion and vote?

Thanks. --- Hong Qi Gong 17:14, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Typo[edit]

I wanted to correct your minor typo on->one here for the sake of clarity, but I thought it might be rude to amend your comment, so I'm letting you know like this instead. Hopefully that's not equally rude. Regards, CiaranG 09:15, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Camino icon.png[edit]

Image:Camino icon.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Queensway origin[edit]

Hi. I know you were involved in the creation of the Queensway page, and I've been working on it. In particular, I'm concerned that we have no reference for the statement that it was split from Queen's Road East in 1967. In fact I've found possible evidence to the contrary. I'd much appreciate your views at the Queensway Talk page. Onanoff (talk) 06:26, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Hong Kong Computer Society has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence this clears notability for organizations; only sources I can find are links to events they put on. Likely a A7 and G12 candidate anyway

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Amory (utc) 13:14, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
