Boudica: The Queen of War moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Boudica: The Queen of War. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 03:41, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to La nieta elegida, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Telenovelafan215 (talk) 06:56, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Extra hatnotes

[edit]

Please do not add unnecessary disambiguation hatnotes. No-one looking for Anne Herbert will find themselves on the page for Lady Anne Clifford, so it is not necessary, indeed positively wrong, to add the hatnote you addded. I see you have added many other inappropriate hatnotes: there are no other people in the encyclopedia named so the hatnote you added here is unhelpful, as it sends the reader to a list of George Hs who are not George Sidney H. See WP:NOHATNOTE.

Please stop adding these unnecessary hatnotes, and go back and remove those you have added. Thank you. PamD 11:37, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alo (American retailer) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Alo (American retailer), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dan arndt (talk) 05:15, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please stop changing intentional links to disambiguation pages that use the (disambiguation) redirect. This is done for a reason: It is a simple mechanism, all but invisible to most users, that lets other editors know that such links are intentional and don't need to be fixed. This saves a lot of editing time and effort. A more detailed explanation can be found at WP:INTDABLINK. Cheers! —ShelfSkewed Talk 03:56, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Translated titles

[edit]

If an actor plays in a film with a non-English title, then that is the title of the film. You can add a translation into English, but you must leave the title of the film in its correct state. Here you have translated an Italian actor's film titles into English, which made it look as if he was appearing in English-language films. Please stop this practice. Thanks. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jacob Andries Beschey, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Draughtsman. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:08, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Australian fantasy action films indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 17:46, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Previous account(s)?

[edit]

Hello, Pladero,

You've only been editing Wikipedia for about 10 days and you've racked up 1,216 edits which is pretty unbelievable for a brand new editor. What accounts did you use to edit before you created this one? It's very hard to believe that a new editor with no experience is editing like you are and you already have a User talk page full of messages about your editing decisions. Did you edit on another Wikipedia? If so, which one(s) and under what username?

Please disclose any previous accounts on your User page. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:31, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I could tell you but I absolutely will not cause I'd be held accountable for any ill-fated editing decisions of the previous accounts considering the consequences of the absolutely sociopathic behavior of Wiki admins that have been levied, with an absolutely pathological deficient sense of mercy and zero chances of redemption. So you are entirely on your own. Anyways, cheers. Pladero (talk) 04:43, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Creating talk pages for disambiguation pages: please don't do it

[edit]

Please don't create talk pages for disambiguation pages unless there is some discussion, as you did at Talk:Saint Malo (disambiguation). See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Disambiguation#Templates, which, under "Talk pages", says Project banner for talk pages with discussion. Please do not use to create talk pages that have no discussion., and also the notice under "Usage" at {{WikiProject Disambiguation}}. Thanks. PamD 11:04, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The WP:BLPCRIME policy says "seriously consider not including material—in any article—that suggests the person has committed or is accused of having committed a crime, unless a conviction has been secured." But that's not even the main issue. The article didn't "suggest" though, it flat out stated in Wikipedia's voice, that a named, living, person who had just been arrested is guilty of murder. As you know, people are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Please be more careful in the future. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 19:25, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dune Drifter, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Chris Rogers and James Groom.

Notice

The article 2023 Ybor City shooting has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable US shooting, only two fatalities, similar events occur almost every day

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello, I'm NinjaRobotPirate. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Only God Forgives, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:34, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at RV (film), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The source you cited says the film is American and German, not Canadian. It is also very unlikely that the film was a "box office success" when it only grossed $87 million on a $50 million budget. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:33, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Some courtesy pings to various admins who have dealt with this individual before this account, or guises such as Jaiquiero, OOODDD, Tandrum and Hamtrane: NinjaRobotPirate, Ponyo, Bbb23, Deepfriedokra, Deb and Edward-Woodrow, and to Liz who I see asking them about previous accounts further up this talk page. Pladero, this is the second time you have been caught socking by a checkuser. If it happens a third time, WP:3X will apply, and you will be site-banned rather than blocked. That means that no individual administrator would have the authority to lift your block, it would only be appealable to the community (after a minimum six-month time-out). If you think we have a pathological deficient sense of mercy (sic) when dealing with blocked accounts, you will find that community-banned accounts are given even less consideration - it will be much harder for you to ever be unblocked. Girth Summit (blether) 09:08, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Mercy has to do with crime and punishment. Your statement implies, @Pladero:, that you see yourself as guilty of an offense. And (mercy is the left hand of justice, for those Khabbalahists playing from home) deserving of punishment. But blocks are not punishment. They are undertaken to stop disruption. And if we seem reluctant to let you go on disrupting Wikipedia, it is because we are intent on stopping disruption.
And clearly, from the "mercy" speech above, you do not understand that you have been and are being disruptive. You see no need to stop your disruptive behavior. You continue with new accounts, get caught, and get blocked. If there is any pathology connected with this tableau, it is that of repeating the same behavior repeatedly and expecting different results. I would add the stock, "please address the reasons for your block on your original account, " but as you cannot recognize those reasons and will not address those reasons, it would be a waste of time and bytes.
Should user achieve unblocking through some miracle of self awareness awakening, on any account, any prior topic bans from prior accounts should remain in place and one for WP:BLP should be in placed as well.
Oh, the prior user names just made it through my brain. Is that true? Oh, my and oh, Hell no. I see. Pladero, if you have something that compels you to act in this manner, please get it taken care of. Nice seeing you again, but no. The fault is not in those around you. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 09:37, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Thanks for the ping. This user (I decline to use the term "editor") is clearly disruptive and WP:NOTHERE. And regarding the speech above, especially the part on "redemption" – I said on Jaiqueiro's talk page (who was first indeffed for disruptive redirects before anyone realized they were a sock) that By the way, by position has moderated somewhat with time. I'm willing to give you a second chance, but with a moratorium on page creation. Prove that you can improve the encyclopedia while avoiding serious conflict for one month and then we can see about creating redirects again. But if you revert back to the patterns that got you blocked in the first place, I'll have no sympathy (Cue dramatic music ) That was two sockpuppets ago, I think. They certainly have not proved that they improve the encyclopedia, and if they're caught again a site ban is fully justified, in my opinion. Edward-Woodrow (talk) 13:19, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone explain to me why everyone is getting so hung up on categorising entries for Thai films? Pladero (talk) 13:45, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've converted your unblock request to a comment as it is not an unblock request. I've also moved it here so it follows chronologically other posts to this page.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:52, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add that you are very unlikely to convince anyone to unblock this account; you should request unblock from your original account, which you still have access to. Girth Summit (blether) 13:54, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pladero: or Jaiquiero or Hamtrane or whatever: I looked at a few of your categorizations and most of them seem fine. But Bbb23 went ahead and reverted all of them, so we've lost some useful categorization. Thanks for that. Well done. The wonders of rollback, eh? Maybe consider, in the future, actually looking at the edits you're reverting? Edward-Woodrow (talk) 20:52, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
