IP block exempt

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this userright to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:56, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

The article Gregor Yeghikian has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Your contributed article, Gregor Yeghikian

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Gregor Yeghikian. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Gregory Yeghikian. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Gregory Yeghikian. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Nicnote • ask me a question • contributions 00:19, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Zainab Pasha

Hi, I'm Cwmhiraeth. Poya-P, thanks for creating Zainab Pasha!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It would be useful to have some dates to give context to readers who do not know the history of this region.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Iranian politics general sanctions notice

Please read this notification carefully: it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions to curtail disruption in articles related to post-1978 Iranian politics, broadly construed. Before continuing to make edits that involve this topic, please read the full description of these sanctions here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

@Vanamonde93:,Hi,

@Poya-P: Please read the message more carefully. It is an informational notice, that is meant be given to anyone editing within this topic. It says nothing about the quality of your edits. If you continue to edit within policy, you have nothing to worry about. Vanamonde (Talk) 03:02, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Orman Ira Platnick requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Comment move

Hey, I see you moved your comment, but that's problematic for two reasons. First, I had responded to your comment and you seemed to have moved your original comment but not my response, which makes things confusing. Second, you moved your comment to the top of this section Talk:People's_Mujahedin_of_Iran#Removing_MEK_popularity_from_lead_and_WP:DUE. Generally, comments are placed at the bottom of the section so that the earlier comments are at the top and the later ones are at the bottom. Please fix. Thanks!VR talk 18:25, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Stefka Bulgaria the result of the above move created a problem, how do you propose we fix it? If there is no agreement, I will simply move my own comments around to maintain both chronological order and reply order.VR talk 16:07, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Captions

Hey, thanks for your contributions to French Resistance. Regarding when to use final punctuation in captions, please see MOS:CAPTION. Also, piping links is usually not necessary: see WP:NOPIPE and WP:NOTBROKEN. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 06:18, 9 October 2021 (UTC)

Mathglot, Hi, You are right, captions should end without a point, but in this certain article I saw that most of captions already have a point, so it would look nicer if the few remaining would also end with a point.
Anyway, thanks for trying to improve my work on Wikipedia. Poya-P (talk) 01:36, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Hi, Poya-P – keen observation that some of the captions already had them! Actually, some of them *should* have a point, but there's a subtle distinction involved: when the caption is a full, grammatical sentence (subject, verb, predicate) that would normally have a point after it in running text, then it should have one in the caption. In a couple of cases, there *were* such complete sentences, and those properly had them. However, there were other cases of sentence fragments or noun phrases that weren't complete sentences, but had the punctuation anyway, possibly in an attempt to be consistent with the ones that had them. Which is maybe the same trap that you fell into. In any case, this is one of the more dusty, and inconsequential corners of the big pile of rules around here, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Since I saw you working on an article I enjoy, I thought it worth mentioning (just barely ). Thanks again for your contributions! Mathglot (talk) 01:48, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Mathglot, Hi, thanks. Poya-P (talk) 01:52, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Mathglot, Hi, I wouldn't worry. Pleas look this in French Resistance: "German military and résistants, July, 1944". Regards. Poya-P (talk) 02:00, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
