[edit]Hi, thanks for adding the article on the Genocide Memorial in Yerevan. You might want to add your new articles about Armenia to the New article announcements in Portal:Armenia, too. Serouj 21:47, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Aha
[edit]Yeah, that's too bad. Those evil Turks, tchk tchk... Look, Armenia has only one capital, and that is Yerevan. Countries before that were not called Armenia. I cannot go to other city articles and label them "capitals of Turkey" simply because it was the capital of a 14th century Turkic kingdom. That template has no chance of staying there, just fyi. It will be removed in due time and course. I know tens of editors who would remove that without thinking twice. Let's hope that they don't get involved. Those cities are mentioned in their respective articles for what they are, and that's enough.Baristarim 05:14, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Really? There are no Armenians left? How did that happen? You see, I am just a barbaric Turk on horseback, I don't know even know how to read and write! Would you care to share your extensive knowledge with me? Whatever dude.. Watch your edit summaries and do not make this personal. You said that Turks didn't have any capitals outside of their borders, and this is utterly false. "Turks didn't have capitals outside of their country"!! Aha, righhhht... Gees, I wonder where Göktürks lived? Yeah, you can have your template for the next 24h if it makes you feel any better, it is still in Turkey :)Baristarim 09:36, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, do you want to know what else is in Turkey? Well, I won't list them though. It could be pretty long :) And guess what, they will always and always be Turkish.. Yeah, too bad, eh? Do not ever make sniping comments to compare me or imply that I am some sort of Nazi again, is that clear? Baristarim 09:43, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- What the hell is the point of this edit summary [1]?? Are you trying to imply something with all those rhetorical questions? Do you really want an answer to such blatantly racist remarks? Is there a problem here? I was only arguing on content, where did these edit summaries come from? Baristarim 09:57, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Happy New Year!

April
[edit]Is there really a reason to add the armenian genocide anniversary to EVERY year? I can't say there is. I'm assumign good faith in those edits, but there's really no reason to do that. The Armenian Genocide mentioned in its proper year suffices. --Wizardman 04:09, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- To expand on the above comment, anniversaries typically should not be added to year articles, unless something significant happened in connection with that anniversary (huge ceremonies in connection with the 100th anniversary of something, for example). —tregoweth (talk) 04:20, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Question?
[edit]Armenakan Party and Ramgavar Party aren't they same? OttomanReference 22:50, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hello there, to answer your question the Armenakans, reformed Hnchaks, and Sahmanadir Ramgavars joined together in 1921 to form the Ramgavar Party. The majority of the membership of the Armenakan Party was absorbed into the Ramgavar Party. ROOB323 23:14, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thnks for clarification, I guess question should be on the nature of "absorption." Is it correct to keep two different articles? Is there a need to move the content of Armenakan Party as a history to Ramgavar Party? OttomanReference 23:25, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Can you please add back the Urartu4.jpg in Military_history_of_Armenia

Templates
[edit]Try using {{WPAM}} instead of {{WikiProject Armenia}} - it is the same template, but has a shorter code. Just an advice :) Baristarim 10:26, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey ROOB, I think it would be a good idea to merge Ramgavar and Armenakan articles as they are both one and the same (although Ramgavar has changed drastically from its Armenakan days). - Fedayee 22:57, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- If Ramgavar is the current name, we should probably merge all the content into that article. Also it's older than the other one. See Help:Redirect on how to merge the articles. Basically, just replace the Armenakan page with #REDIRECT [[Ramgavar Party]] Khoikhoi 09:47, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Its Ararat arev the guy is blocked, and he wants the image to be put there, by the way im not removing our history i just don't want false theories to be created, all his content comes from Armenianhighland.com, its a good website but too much nationalist revision of our history merci. Robert, Narek told Khoi to revert the Urartu image. Its not a big deal that much(Davo88 requested it be added there and I thought it was good too, pleae put it back?), but here is the links that he thinks im only looking at armenianhighland.com
http://www.tacentral.com/history.asp
http://www.angelfire.com/hi/Azgaser/AR.html from Martiros Kavoukjian's Armenia, Sumer, Subartu, 1982
http://arevordi.blogspot.com 12,000 year history of Armenia
http://www.armenianhighland.com 12,000 year history of Armenia
http://www.saintsarkis.org/Language.htm roots of Armenian language
Davo88 first requested the image to be put there. So I know Im requesting you and Im blocked now, but since Davo88 requested to be put there it was his idea. So what do you think? You putting it there is basically from Davo88's suggestion and idea right? 216.175.94.233 05:46, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Reply to the above comment I.P. address 216.175.94.233. I'll stay out of this edit war. I don't want any edit wars with Narek, I'll just stay neutral and if Davo88 wants the image back in then he could add the image back in by himself. ROOB323 07:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Tovmas Nazarbekian
[edit]Hello OttomanReference, I have a question. I saw your edit in Tovmas Nazarbekian article, you added "Armenian victory over Khalil Pasha at Diliman." I was just wondering by saying Diliman do you mean the city of Dilijan? or is it a completly different city than Dilijan? ROOB323 20:50, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Good Question! My initial response "ima" in Turkish might also be translated to "ija". However I believe Khalil Pasha was at Mesopotamian Campaign. Dilijan is not south of van, and I was thinking he might have faced with Tovmas Nazarbekian while Nazarbekian was emptying the Van region, and ottomans were retreating from Iraq. I'm going to keep this issue in mind. Thanks.--OttomanReference 21:07, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Can you add the Dance image also in Culture of Armenia page?
[edit]Can you put in the Culture page also? Cause it has the info but its empty, needs a Dance picture, just as the other topics there have an image. Ordu page
[edit]ROOB323, you reverted my edit without reason. If you read the Ordu discussion, I have established that the Balakian source is biased and based upon Dardian's biased point of view. The Vakit source dating to 1933 where Dardian cites as a source, also was not corroborated by any other person - academic or none, dead or alive. You are reverting to an edit in discussion and you did not discuss it before or after your edit. That amounts to "Sneaky Vandalism" and distruption of an ongoing discussion. Refer to Nishkid64 if you have issues with that. --Oguz1 23:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Re:Question
[edit]I have removed Oguz1's warning. He is not an administrator, and he was only warning you because you went against him at Ordu. He reported me, Artaxiad, Khoikhoi and you to WP:AIV in hopes to get us all blocked. Khoikhoi and I are both administrators, and his request was absolutely preposterous, claiming that we were vandalizing when it was just a dispute at the article. Also, Oguz1 violated WP:3RR and so he was blocked for a period of one week for the 3RR violation, personal attacks and slandering users. Thanks, and keep up the good work. Arbitration
[edit]Hi. I added you to list of parties to an arbitration case initiated by Dmcdevit. Please make a statement at Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Armenia-Azerbaijan concerning the conflict with the other parties listed. Thanks. Grandmaster 17:17, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Hello,
An Arbitration case involving you has been opened: Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan. Please add any evidence you may wish the arbitrators to consider to the evidence sub-page, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan/Evidence. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan/Workshop.

To User:ROOB323 and User:Grandmaster: please be careful. If you start up reverting each other again, this page will be reprotected, which I'm sure is the last thing either of you want. --Robdurbar 09:19, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Notice of Arbitration Committee injunction
[edit]The Arbitration Committee has adopted a temporary injunction in the case of Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan, in which you have been named as a party. The injunction provides: Until the conclusion of this case, all parties are restricted to one content revert per article per day, and each content revert must be accompanied by a justification on the relevant talk page. Violators may be blocked for up to 24 hours. The case remains open for the submission of evidence or proposals. This notice is given by a Clerk on behalf of the Arbitration Committee. Newyorkbrad 00:23, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please keep in mind that the parole requires you to justify reversions on the talk page. Justifying reversions is not the same as simply using the talk page at all. You must give a rationale for the revert. Posting to the talk page like this [3], what amounts to essentially "I reverted you and I'm saying so on the talk page" is equivalent to no justification at all, and without a rationale soon, or a self-revert, you will be in violation of parole and subject to block. Dmcdevit·t 18:15, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Considering that after this note, your response was [4], I have given you a 24 hour block for the violation of your parole. Dmcdevit·t 03:18, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome back axper. Check this out if you did not yet...it's a proposal against you. [5] - Fedayee 20:43, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- To tell you the truth, I am not sure either, the rules are being twisted. I think you have the right to comment because you are a party to the arbitration. I think the Arbitrators will go into a "questioning phase" too at some point later in the case. - Fedayee 20:43, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- I am a clerk for the Arbitration Committee. I am not going to comment on the merits of the case or the proposal, but for your procedural guidance, only the arbitrators edit the /Proposed decision page, but the parties may comment on the /Evidence page, the /Workshop page, or (probably most relevant now) the /Proposed decision talk page. Hope this helps. Newyorkbrad 20:46, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Ordu
[edit]Can you provide a source for Ordu was mostly Armenian before 'genocide'"? the JMW book is biased (explained in detail on Ordu talk) plus he doesn't have a census. Here's a census that says it was MOSTLY Turkish, not Armenian [[6]]. Nobody is arguing there are or were no any Armenians there, just that it was never an Armenian city - as I think you are trying to imply. If anything, it was Greek. And stop deleting Lausenne link - that's was agreed upon by Greeks, Turks, and Armenians. --Oguz1 13:49, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Igdir
[edit]It's better if we just not make the Igdir Province article part of WPAM because the next thing you know Azeri users will be placing Syunik on their WikiProject. I don't think any of us want the hassle. -- Aivazovsky 20:33, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, please do. BTW, happy "Vodunluvah" and "Khavaroom"! Are you Catholic or Apostolic? -- Aivazovsky 20:38, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- We should only makea few exceptions, though: Vakıflı and Sason (where Armenian communities still exist) should still be part of WPAM as should Mount Ararat, Little Ararat, and Lake Van. -- Aivazovsky 20:47, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
User:Threeafterthree's edits
[edit]Threeafterthree removed the ethnicity from the opening paragraph, because only a person's nationality (country of citizenship) should be mentioned in the opening, not ethnicity (which, if properly sourced, can be mentioned at some point below). See WP:MOSBIO. You can certainly re-add it to a later part of the article, like "early life", etc. (and hopefully source it, as well) Mad Jack 06:15, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Removed ethnicity
[edit]Hi I saw your edits in an Armenian related articles. You removed everything that mentions about Armenian ethnicity, but I don't any reason for the ethnicity do be removed from the article. ROOB323 19:12, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi ROOB323, I removed mention of ethnicity from the LEAD sentence per WP:MOSBIO paragraph #3. I got into this about a year and a half ago when some editors added "Jewish-American" to the LEAD sentence of about 400 biographies of famous Jewish-Americans. Please feel free to add mention of individuals ethnicity to the article under the appropriate sub section, ie early life or family background, ect. Indivuals born outside the US who moved here later in life are more problematic then folks born on American soil. I am going to revert your edits accept for folks born outside the US. Again, please feel free to add ethnicity back into the article, just not in the lead sentence UNLESS their ethnicity is what makes then notable. Thanks! --Tom 12:34, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
The arbitration case involving you has closed. The Arbitration Committee has placed you on standard revert parole for a year. This means that you may revert only once per article per week except to revert obvious vandalism. Furthermore, you must explain your reasonings for content reverts on the associated talk page.
The Arbitration Committee has also placed you on civility parole for a year. This means that if you make any edits which are judged by an administrator to be uncivil, personal attacks, or assumptions of bad faith, then you may be blocked for a short time of up to one week for repeat offenses.
You may review the full decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan.

[edit]Blocked: 24 hours for violating the 1 revert per day injunction in Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan. Removing the same section twice [7] [8] in one day definitely counts as an unacceptable revert, even if you did attempt to discuss it. Note that under the terms of the final decision in the case (which became effective after these edits) you are limited to one revert per article per week, not per day. - Everythings good, were in the middle of the epic summer blockbuster Armenia Azerbaijan 2, staring Movses Kaghankatvatsi, Armenische Legion, Sahl ibn-Sunbat, and it takes place in Principality of Khachen, Nazi Germany, Caucasian Albania and Paytakaran and the big twist is that this one involves the Great Persian Empire :) Be careful, not to catch any stray bullets, just sit back and enjoy the movie. :) --VartanM 08:43, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

The case in which you were peripherally involved in was closed. According to the records, you were placed on revert parole (now called revert limitations), and as such, you are affected by this remedy, which places you on supervised editing. You may be banned by any administrator from editing any or all articles which relate to the region of Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran and the ethnic and historical issues related to that area should you fail to maintain a reasonable degree of civility in your interactions with another editor concerning disputes which may arise.
You may view the full decision at the case page here.

Ordu sources
[edit]Maybe you can discuss why a blog would be a valid source? or you can tell us why a source that mentions Ordu in passing is a good source. I don't want to waste too much time with you anymore, as you have never responded to any of my invitations to dialog - other than revert summaries. If you want to talk, then respond to my arguments on the Ordu talk page. Otherwise, stop wasting everybody's time. --Oguz1 20:29, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

First off, I apologize for the spam. You are receiving this message because you have indicated that you are in Southern California or interested in Southern California topics (either via category or WikiProject).
I would like to invite you to the Los Angeles edition of Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art, a photography scavenger hunt to be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. All photos are intended for use in Wikipedia articles or on Wikimedia Commons. There will be a prize available for the person who gets the most photos on the list.
If you don't like art, why not come just to meet your fellow Wikipedians. Apparently, we haven't had a meetup in this area since June 2006!
If you are interested in attending, please add your name to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art#Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Please make a note if you are traveling to the area (train or plane) and need transportation, which can probably be arranged via carpool, but we need time to coordinate. Lodging is as of right now out of scope, but we could discuss that if enough people are interested.
Thank you and I hope to see you there! howcheng {chat} 00:23, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello ROOB323! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Gagik Harutyunyan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Hrant Bagratyan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:20, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

The file File:CSULA Welcome Board.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
