Hi

[edit]

Hi Rajat. Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your edits, especially to the IAF page. I can see that in the 2 weeks you've been here, you've already made some fine edits. Good work mate, and expecting more in the time to come. why dont you tell us something about yourself. You can do that by creating your userpage. Its simple. Just click this link or the red user page link at the top of this page, and start editing. You can also join various Wikiprojects. There, you'll meet like-minded editors and can more easily find articles to improve. Judging by your edits, I'd suggest that you could join Wikipedia:WikiProject India, Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles, and Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history.

If you need any help, have any doubts or problems, feel free to contact me or any other experienced editors on my Talk Page. Have fun. See you around. Sniperz11talk|edits 04:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the misunderstanding on Kuwait. Your edits off a number of "red flags" that I use to identify inappropriate edits, particularly the removal of large chunks of text from the article without an edit summary. Triona (talk) 15:56, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:AutoExpoIndica.jpg

[edit]

File:AutoExpoIndica.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:AutoExpoIndica.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:AutoExpoIndica.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 09:01, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Tatamilestone 1.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Tatamilestone 1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:21, 5 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:21, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on File:Kuwait water towers.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
