I think we should use check user to help determine if that is a real sock puppet of street scholar--Fang 23 01:21, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Atulnischal

Hi Nirav, Would you please look into malformed archive pages as in User talk:Atulsnischal archive 7? I have advised him to move it to User talk:Atulsnischal/archive 7, but since I opposed his article in an AFD (and followup) , and also cleaned up some spam links from articles he edited, he seems to consider any of my advices as hostile to him. Also, I found User:RaveenS's talk page archives to have the same malformed style (instead of using sub pages, Atul actually copied from Raveen). It would be great if you can let them see it's contrary to Wikipedia:Subpages ... Thanks. --Ragib 06:01, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks both of you for your timeRaveenS 13:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

conflict of interest

Netscott - you have exceeded the ridiculous. What is the point of making accusations against me that don't make an iota's sense? Lemme try this final time to get your reasoning straight: Rama's Arrow made a statement on Bakasuprman's behalf on WP:RFAR/Hkelkar, so BhaiSaab's indef-block must be revoked. 2 + 2 now suddenly = 5?

Speaking of WP:COI, perhaps I could point out, using Netscottlogic, 2 reasons why you shouldn't even post at this discussion: (1) Blnguyen has blocked you twice. Using your logic, you have a COI since Blnguyen initiated this discussion. (2) Being blocked so many times for disruption, you are in the same category of users as BhaiSaab, more interested in wrecking Wikipedia. COI. Good day to you, Rama's arrow 13:38, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Rama's Arrow, more evidence of a conflict of interest: You were contacted no less than six times by User:Hkelkar seeking assistance on matters he was editing on.

1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Here is more evidence of your conflict of interest. You must be aware that prior to his involvement with Hkelkar, BhaiSaab was generally more productive and contributory. It is nonsense that he is being made to pay for HE's latest disruption and indefinitely blocked when he wasn't the cause of it. As to your arguments that I have a conflict of interest you are wrong. I've not blocked or unblocked anyone. (Netscott) 14:18, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

You should not have indefinitely blocked User:BhaiSaab relative to this latest disruption that he was not involved with. That was wrong. BhaiSaab was rightly banned for a set duration by ArbCom and granted he did come back as a sockpuppet to edit on articles and had his ban reset three times. Given that Hkelkar was back himself obviously BhaiSaab felt motivated to come back. Hkelkar had his ban reset five times before you finally indef. blocked him. BhaiSaab has had it set three times... hello there is a difference here. Kindly refrain from calling me a troll. As this clearly demonstrates I am not a troll. (Netscott) 16:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm extremely upset that BhaiSaab is being indefinitely blocked now when he's not done further disruption and Blntguyen decided to throw him in with HE as though they were one and the same. Again, that is wrong. Given your support for Bakasuprman and his history of conflict with BhaiSaab there most certainly is an appearance of impropriety on your part in being the one to indef. block BhaiSaab particularly given that Hkelkar was given 2 more chances before you indef. blocked him. Why don't you in good faith rescind your indef. block of BhaiSaab for now and let the discussion continue? (Netscott) 16:30, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
There is extremely evidently not a consensus on the discussion that BhaiSaab should be indefinitely blocked. You were hasty in your indef. block of him. Rama's Arrow, you have to admit to this appeance of impropriety in your haste given what I have already explained. Come on, where's the justice here? One guy gets 5 chances and the other guy doesn't? Prior to Hkelkar's entanglement with BhaiSaab he was a productive and contributory editor. Even Timothy who's pushing for HE's banning seemed to acknowledge that when he left this message (using a sockpuppet) in support of BhaiSaab. (Netscott) 16:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Further proof of no consensus. (Netscott) 17:08, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Timothy Usher was smacked for probation, besides him and BhaiSaab were always cozy. They wikistalked and attacked myself and Dangerous-Boy (talk · contribs) after the notorious fundy watch fiasco. Assertions of BhaiSaab "contributions" are laughable, as he spent a month pestering me (and before that Karl Meier and Pecher) until Hkelkar came around and beat him at his own trolling game.Bakaman 16:52, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Just un-autoblocked an IP used by a banned editor

Hi Nirav, I just un-autoblocked 128.122.253.196, which was autoblocked by you because it was used by BhaiSaab. Hope this is not going to pose a significant problem :) It's an NYU shared IP, so it's holding back quite a few others, I imagine. Cheers, – Riana 22:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

That is very odd.. I've tangled with an editor using this IP.... hmmmm. (Netscott) 22:35, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Probably one of those IPs that everybody's had a chat with, at some stage or another :) – Riana 22:46, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

regarding street scholar

Thank you very much for blocking Street Scholar for offensive comments but however I have observed that many of street scholar's edits are vandalism trolling pov pushing and or sexist/misogynic remarks and racial attacks i belive that any futher vandalism pov pusing personal attacks trolling sexism and racism should result in a longer block.--Fang 23 01:28, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Jordan Mendelson

Hi Rama

I noticed that on March 8th you deleted the article on "Jordan Mendelson". Could you please tell me why?

Thank you, Vavau'u —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vavauu (talkcontribs) 10:36, 22 March 2007 (UTC).

Hi Rama I forgot to sign my name last time, I guess that's why I haven't heard from you. Please send me a message and let me know what was wrong with the entry on Jordan Mendelson. Thanks Vavauu 00:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm Back

hi, I learnt from Ragib bhai's email that you talked about me in the podcast. Thanks and I am feeling really proud. I couldn't listen to it yet and also was out of touch of wiki for sometime. I will try to concentrate again on wiki and your comments would inspire me. :) Tarif from Bangladesh 16:24, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Help with images

Hi Rama,

I found these three pics on the net.

One of them is of the old Mysore palace. Another shows the durbar in session after the palace was rebuilt following a fire which burnt down the old palace and the other one is of Henry Irwin, the architect of the new palace. All three, especially the ones of the palace are very rare. I've already uploaded the pic of the old palace because the photograph, is obviously taken in India and is nearly a hundred years old. The other photograph of the durbar in session, even that I am fairly certain is from before 1947. So it should qualify for pd-india. However, I am not sure about that. I tried mailing the website owner but havent got a response yet. As for the one of Henry Irwin, the website says that the photograph was taken in 1915, but not in India, presumably somewhere in England. Does it qualify for pd? What tag do I use for it? Please help. Thanks. Sarvagnya 09:37, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Nichalp seems to disagree with your view. See his reply on my talk page. Also see my reply on his talk page. And please see this. I have started a discussion on the template talk page. Please give your input. Thanks. Sarvagnya 02:22, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

152.216.11.5 block

No trouble at all, if he's been causing more disruption, let's make sure the point gets across. Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:12, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I adviced him to avoid this kind of behaviour, but alas he didn't listen.Anyway for how long he has been blocked for.User talk:Yousaf465 03:22, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, some help please

Hello Rama's Arrow,

I placed some requests in WP:ANI and WP:Requested Moves. But nothing has been done. Since you frequently edit in India-related articles, I thought I'd ask you to take a look at it. Basically a vandal moved around a bunch of articles; I moved them back (what I could) but one of them is un-movable and requires an admin's help. Also his account seems to be mainly used just for vandalism. My request as WP:ANI is here and the one at WP:RM is here. This is the first time I am making a request like this on WP:ANI and WP:RM so I have no idea of the timeline. But requests posted after mine seemed to have been acted on, so that's why I am asking. Thanks! --vi5in[talk] 23:04, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your quick reply! I will go ahead and request some help on [[WT:INB] regarding the content disputes. --vi5in[talk] 23:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
