Anarchy[edit]

To tell you the truth, I had always thought of the anarchy symbol as shown at Image:Circle-A red.svg, with the points of A sticking out of the circle, which symbolized the disorder of anarchy. The A in the symbol that is now on my userpage was perfectly in line with the circle, and I was rather confused, my understanding being that the whole point was to not be in line with a circle. Upon further research, I came to realize that the distinction between these two symbols is rather akin to the distinction between the two definitions that are being discussed in the Tea Room right now. So, thank you for broadening my understanding. Cerealkiller13 00:23, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moves[edit]

Hey Randy, not to be a nag, but do you know about the move page function? It's the "move" button at the top of the page next to history. If you want to change an article's name, use that, because cut and paste moves mess up the page history. Also, be sure to gain consensus before doing drastic or potentially controversial actions. Leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions or want to discuss anything. Peace, delldot talk 02:10, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your account[edit]

Glad you got your proper account name back. You might want to visit Wikipedia:Reference desk/Computing to learn the best way to prevent your brother misusing your account Nil Einne 19:14, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More to the point, someone moving your user page does not actually change your user name or your account name. There's no need to get so flustered about it in the future. —Cuiviénen 12:57, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Lauren/mary chain letter[edit]

An editor has nominated Lauren/mary chain letter, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lauren/mary chain letter and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Evil (philosophy)[edit]

Erm, as to your recent article evil (philosophy)... I've proposed its deletion. Wikipedia isn't quite in its young days any more when the more articles, the better, and plenty of great article ideas hadn't been done yet... the ideas in this are best merged to evil, which is on exactly the same topic. I mean, the idea that "evil" actions may not be considered evil to those doing them is not exactly new, and kind of obvious. It might merit mention in the evil article, but it's not a substantially different concept. SnowFire 02:57, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection[edit]

According to protection log the Incarnation (Christianity) was never protected. This points to me that you might not be familiar with the actual Wikipedia:Protection policy nor that you are aware that only Wikipedia:Administrators can actually protect the pages. Even then, protection templates are not mandatory and it is certanily possible to protect a page without an visible sign (other than in the protection log). Not to mention that you have put a wrong type of protection template. If you wish to request a protection of a page (since you are not an administrator) please visit Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. I would also like to add that it doesnt look like the Incarnation (Christianity) should be protected at this time as it is vandalised only sporadically. Please read Wikipedia:Vandalism and consider instead warning the vandals to stop vandalising. Shinhan 18:09, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Human element[edit]

A tag has been placed on Human element, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 04:44, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
