Thanks for uploading Image:EquipoCiudadReal.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stan 06:25, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You've twice removed the "no source" tag from Image:BM Ciudad Real 2005-06.jpg. Please don't do this unless you are adding the source details. Just removing the tag without adding source details is just plain vandalism - please don't do it. If there's something you don't understand about the process, just ask. National squad list

[edit]

I notice that you have started tabularising the squad lists at 2006 African Cup of Nations (squads). I would urge you to instead use the templates {{nat fs start}}, {{nat fs player}} and {{nat fs end}} instead, which are in turn based on the likes of {{fs player}} &c.. They have already been applied at most of the European Championship squad lists (see eg 1984 European Football Championship (squads)) and World Cup sqaud lists (see eg Football World Cup 1990 (squads)), and will be applied to the ACN squad lists in the future as well. Thanks! --Pkchan 15:17, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your concurring reply on my talk page. My plan is to update all pages under Category:Football tournament squads (and its sub-categories) to adopt the new format, but haven't been able to done all of them yet, due to both time constraints and technical difficulties (some pages, and in particular Football World Cup 1994 (squads), are rather unhandy for massive replacement using regular expressions). It would be of immense value if you would help transforming any of them. The ACN squad lists, in my opinion, can be a good starting point. --Pkchan 15:52, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Pkchan, one question: respect to the clubs of the players in the 1994 World Cup; do i have to put her current club/retired or that club of that year? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raymond Cruise (talk • contribs) . originally appeared on User talk:Pkchan#OK, i agree with You
It's been a common practice for all the squad lists to include the professional club which a player has been playing for as of the time of the tournament. The same practice should go for the 1994 World Cup one.
By the way, please reply from now on here on this page. I have watched this space and will be notified when you reply here. This will make the whole discussion more coherent and easy to trace for the onlookers. --Pkchan 17:58, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK Understood, Thanks You. --Raymond Cruise 19:15, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. May I ask why this page was blanked ? I assumed it was the missing 'L' in the title. I've reverted the blanking and moved it to Copa del Rey de Balonmano, preserving the edit history with you as the first author. If you really want this article deleted, please let me know and I'll delete it, or you can tag the article with {{db|author's request}} to get another admin to do it. Thanks. -- PFHLai 16:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, delete this page please:Copa de Rey de Balonmano.

I gave the reason for the prod tag in the edit comment. The article is just a listing of unexplained links. What is Copa del Rey de Balonmano? An article X should always start with X is .... -- JeLuF 17:26, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Visit Copa del Rey de Balonmano, is bad write? or i dont explain correctly?

Rugby league

[edit]

Thank you for recently editing the Rugby league article. You added a wikilink to Rugby in Spain I believe. However, this is somewhat irrelevant for this article. This "Rugby league" article refers to the sport of rugby league. It does not refer to a rugby league, such as the guineess premiership. This is confusing, I agree. Reading History of rugby league will probably fill in quite a few gaps. Another good reference is Rugby, which will fill you in on both sports of rugby. POds 08:53, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your cats

[edit]

Please stop adding parent cats into articles. Some of the edits you've been doing add, for example, "Hispanic American actors" to an article that is already in "Mexican American actors". That category IS in "Hispanic American actors" so it's wholly redundant. However, many of your other edits are fine. Thanks for editing! --Golbez 18:06, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If the person is ONLY in "Hispanic American actors", then it's fine, if we have no specific origin.
But if they are already in "Mexican American actors" then please don't put them in "Hispanic American actors", because that's already handled under "Mexican American actors". --Golbez 18:51, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Parent categories (part II)

[edit]

Hi there Raymond. I have a similar request to the one above- I've noticed that you've been re-adding the parent category Cat:Municipalities in Spain to a few articles on individual Spanish municipalities (such as at Paterna de Rivera), when they had already been assigned to an appropriate sub-category (based on Province), such as Cat:Municipalities in Huelva. Since there are obviously (and literally) thousands of municipalities in Spain, placing the article at that category level is not really going to be so useful. A fair amount of effort has been expended recently in moving articles from the parent Cat:Municipalities in Spain cat into the appropriate subcategory based on province. If the article is already in a category based on province, it would seem to be entirely redundant to also have it at the parent Spain category. Is there a particular reason why you'd like to see these articles at the municipalities in Spain level? If not, I would say that the articles need to remain at the municipality in <province> level only. Regards, --cjllw | TALK 05:03, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kalina of Bulgaria

[edit]

Hi,

I saw that added Kalina of Bulgaria as Monarchy in Spain and Nobility in Spain. Is that right? I mean she is of the Royal family in Bulgaria. I know that she was born in Spain and married Spainard Antonio "Kitín" Muñoz Valcárcel. But as far as I know is not part of the Monarchy in Spain, so is she? Since you are Spanish, I thought I'd double check with you rather than change it back.--SVTCobra 22:14, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking Templates

[edit]

Hey. I've noticed that some of the templates you've made weer blanked by you around 19 February, for example {{Spanish Basketball First Division}} and {{ACB Teams 05/06}}. If you meant to remove/delete them, can you list them on Wikipedia:Templates for Deletion? Thanks. SeventyThree(Talk) 13:30, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

'Argentine diaspora'

[edit]

Saludos. You have embarked upon a reorganisation of Argentine national groups which is complicated and contentious. I have started a discussion at Category talk:Basque Argentines where I first came across your edits, and I've flagged it up with other editors interested in Argentina. Please add your views there. emigrants

[edit]

I notice you have been adding and re-adding 'American emigrants' categories to various '(country) Americans' categories. By defintion, American 'emigrants' are people who have left America to live in some other country. They do not belong in any '(country) Americans' category, which are defined as people who have emigrated from another (country) to become immigrants to the U.S. What is your justification for making these changes? Thanks Hmains 15:56, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sobre el vandalismo

[edit]

-- Lancini87 02:06, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

American people by ethnic and national origin

[edit]

What do think about what one editor is doing to this category: including both the subcategories and their sub-subcategories in this category. Example: including both the 'European American' subcategory and then also directly including all the sub-categories (German American, English American, etc etc). I think what is being done does not meet the criteria for having category/subcategory duplication. I do not remember seeing this done in any other category. He is effectiively reverting all my work that tried to organize the 'american people by ethnic and national origin' category to make it easier to find things. Thanks Hmains 04:12, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category changes

[edit]

You are making large and controversial changes to categories without discussing them first. As you can see from other comments left for you, these are upsetting other editors who have been working to organise those subject areas. Most recently, you have been reorganising the Basque categories. These have been developed to be a generic category embracing Basque culture in France, Euskadi and Navarra, where appropriate, so any changes must leave that hierarchy intact, or improve it. There are already categories for Navarre and Euskadi which are subcats of the overall Basque category - you made it a parent category, which makes no sense of the hierarchy and does not reflect the fact that Navarrese and French Basque articles are included.

Could you please consider if you are the best person to be taking on such large reorganisation of category systems, rather than continuing to contribute through article creation? If you still want to make large changes to categories, perhaps you would consider discussing them first so that editors in those areas, such as myself in areas of Argentine and Basque interest, can give you our opinions? Thanks, Mtiedemann 19:49, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sevilla squad changes

[edit]

Hi, I see you keep reverting the squad changes back to the no-links, bold "to" and "from" - version. As I've written in a few edit resumés, please see the Talk:Sevilla FC page as to the squad changes and lets have a debate on the subject there instead of tacit reverting. Portillo

[edit]

We seem to have an issue on this. Portillo is not Spanish, although his father was. The category 'Spanish-British' carries no definition (and is therefore, (amongst other reasons), presently up for deletion). It would imply to the casual reader that the person thus categorised had dual nationality. Portillo doesn't. Therefore the category should not be used for him. Best regards --Smerus 14:59, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote: 'You dont know one thing: this cat: category:Spanish-British people means: Spanish for his origin or ancestry; and british for his nationality. You dont understand it. Thus it is. You are the vandal. Rayse 17:09, 20 May 2006 (UTC)'.[reply]
You are incorrect. Category:Spanish-British people contains no such definition. In fact it contains no definition at all. I suggest you take a moment to look once more at what a category is supposed to be in Wikipedia. In the meantime, you might also take a look at the rules on politnesess in Wikipedia. Because I disagree with you does not give you the right to call me a vandal. Best regards--Smerus 16:33, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Rayse - you wrote:
Yes yes,,jajaja.
Look you the wikipedia rules
Portillo is of spanish origin or ancestry.
Therefore, this cat: category:Spanish-British people is absolutely corret, YOU DONT TOUCH IT. Rayse 18:38, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please understand, with respect, that it is not for you to tell me what or what not I may touch. You have to accept as a basic principle of Wikipedia that not everyone out here agrees with you automatically, nor can you instruct them to do so. Any more of this rudeness and I shall report you to administrators.--Smerus 16:43, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

descent categories

[edit]

Please add a purpose/use to all the 'descent' categories you are creating. I undestand what you are doing, but a purpose will help others now and later to understand. Thanks Hmains 17:56, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
