  • It'll show up on the new article log, if that's what you're asking. If you're asking if people can see it in a browser search, then the answer is a tentative yes. I've had articles in my userspace show up in a Google search. However I do have to caution that creating an article in your userspace doesn't mean that you aren't held to most of the same rules that you'd have in the mainspace. If it looks like it's too promotional or like you've largely abandoned it, it can still run the risk of being deleted in the future.   • The basic difference is that since it's not in the mainspace, you are given more time to work on the article and bring it up to standards. It can sit in the userspace for quite some time and I've had userspace articles that I've kept around for months and months. We mostly just require the following: that you're actively working on trying to edit the article to where it'd pass GNG and be transferrable to the mainspace, that you aren't using it as a way to get around our basic rules and policies, and that you are actively monitoring or editing it. The last part is mostly because sometimes people will create userspace articles and then abandon them, but we're fairly easygoing about userspace copies being around for a while. Offhand I don't think that you'd really pose a problem with creating it in your userspace since I do think that you're here in WP:GOODFAITH. You can start creating a userspace copy by typing in a location such as User:Fengxiaolu/HiFiMan, although AfC is always a good option. Since the company is located in China, there will likely be sources in Chinese. I'm mentioning this mostly because a lot of people tend to think that coverage in reliable sources has to be in English, when it can be in any language. However since you are somewhat new with editing, I would suggest that you look into contacting people at WP:CHINA, a WikiProject that focuses on China-related topics, and run sources through WP:RS/N, a noticeboard where you can basically ask if something is usable or not. In many cases editors on either page can also help suggest edits to the page in general as well as other places to look for sourcing. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 06:01, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

  • Not necessarily- each Wikipedia has different standards for notability, so a company can pass WP:CORP in one language's Wikipedia but not pass another. It is, however, usually easier to build an article when you have another language Wikipedia copy to pull from. Unfortunately the userspace articles aren't really moderated or watched that closely, so you'd have to reach out to other editors in order to really get a lot of feedback, which is why WP:CHINA would be a good place to seek help. They will have people who speak the various dialects of Chinese, so they can help look for sources while they also give you feedback. I'm willing to help too, but I think that you will definitely want someone who is a fluent Chinese speaker since they'll have a better idea of what the foreign language sources are saying. I usually use Google Translate, but there are obvious flaws with using a computer translation program since it doesn't pick up the various nuances of the language.   • In a nutshell it all boils down to coverage in reliable sources. For example, you could use newspaper articles about the company to show notability as long as the mentions weren't WP:TRIVIAL and the papers could be seen as a WP:RS.   • You should be able to link to it by writing [[File:Cerejas_em_Montes_da_Senhora.jpg|thumb|right|An example photo.]], if you want to put it into a side bar. It should look like this when you're done:

You can also put images in the infoboxes, but that should be reserved for the company logo in this instance. If you're writing about a person and you have a photo of your own that you want to upload, you should be able to link to that by just linking to it like normal. Mostly it shouldn't be any different than images you'd load into the mainspace on Wikipedia and normally we end up transferring most of the images to Commons anyway. The only ones that don't get transferred are usually ones that are copyrighted in some fashion, such as movie posters, official merchandise shots, company logos, and so on. We can use most images on Wikipedia with attribution, but not all of them can be moved to Commons, which is pretty much intended for photos that will be given up as freely licensed. (Meaning that the photographers had the rights to the photo and gave up any rights to profit off of it so they can be used freely by others.) Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 04:05, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

  • I think it depends on the video, but that's something I'm wholly unfamiliar with. That's a question to take to Wikipedia talk:Media help, to ask what you can or can't use as far as video goes. I know that there is a definite limit to the type of video you can upload onto WC for use on the mainspace, but I'm not as familiar as to what you can upload just for viewing on WC. I'll drop a note on there asking for some assistance and pointing them towards this discussion, as it's something I should probably learn a bit more about myself. why my page VIN RANA bein redirected to some other page

  • I redirected it because he seems to only be known for his role in the television show. All of the coverage I found mentions him only in relation to the television show. Typically when someone is known only for one role and doesn't receive a lot of coverage independently of that role, we redirect to the main article. If you can find more coverage of Vin Rana that discusses him outside of that role in a reliable source (WP:RS) we can always un-redirect. The only thing is that reliable sources must be independent of the actor and in a place that would be considered reliable. That means that we cannot accept things such as database listings, blog entries, or anything that was released by one of his representatives. The good news is that if the coverage exists in another language, we can always use that to show notability, as being reliable doesn't mean "English only". I'd recommend stopping in at WP:INDIA to ask for help with sources, as the people on that WikiProject are excellent with hunting for coverage. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 06:42, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

I was just about to contest! As far as I can see the text from lksamuels.com was entirely different in structure, tone, etc from the wiki article. Could you restore it (with the CSD template) for a few hours, so that can make see if I was mistaken. Soft deletions = prods

Perhaps you are unaware that when an AFD closes with a deletion with no comments other than the nominator, it is considered a deletion by prod. That is the case with Francis Tiafoe. The closing admin there even said SOFT DELETION. Abductive (reasoning) 16:18, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

  • It depends on the admin closing it, to be honest. Sometimes they'll just close it as no consensus due to a lack of debate and the basic assumption in these cases is that it's open to re-nomination for anyone who wants to try going that route. It's pretty rare for someone to say that an article can't be immediately re-nominated in the instance where there were no other people commenting. Mostly the "no immediate re-nominations" is for instances where a previous AfD closed as a keep and it looks like someone is trying to re-nominate it until they get it deleted. However at the same time, if you have a topic that is very, very clearly not notable (yet doesn't qualify for a speedy) then sometimes the admin will make a decision to delete the page. Stanford University alumni

Hello! I noted your comment "should probably make a standalone page at this point" when you added an alum to the Stanford University page. FYI, there already is a standalone page; it's at List of Stanford University people and is referenced as the "Main article" under the People section of the university article. Unfortunately people have added so many people to the main Stanford article, or to both places, that the article has gotten kind of overwhelmed. I think the idea was that everybody gets put in the "list" but a few very notable people also go in the "article"; however, that isn't clear and isn't being enforced. Re: Socks

Re your messages: I saw the Ignitepictures account, but I had thought that they had created the Octavio Nunez account after you had blocked the Ignitepictures account because of the user name issue. So I gave them a pass on the Octavio Nunez account as they are allowed to create a new account since they can't use the Ignitepictures name. That is also why I tagged the other socks under the Octavio Nunez name. However, upon closer inspection, I see that the Octavio Nunez account was created before the Ignitepictures account was blocked. So much for the one freebie account. I'm for blocking the whole lot of them and tagging them with Ignitepictures as the master account. It is obvious they are here to promote Zachary Laoutides and make him into a big movie star that he isn't.

I didn't open an SPI because it was obvious that all of the accounts were related. I hope it doesn't turn into another SEFPRODUCTIONS issue. We'll see how it goes. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:31, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, you closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Steve ODell. It seems to have made its way back to mainspace at Steve ODell without addressing the issues raised in the AFD. It's only three weeks on, so I'm reluctant to raise a second AFD this early. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:56, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

I was just going to post the same exact message. I suggest that it be deleted. The deletion discussion was fairly lenient, and I think that we have extended quite a bit of good faith to an editor with an obvious conflict of interest. The fact that she has removed the COI template, made no effort to tone down the promotional nature of the article, and attempted to go around an AfD makes me significantly less interested in giving her more chances to improve the article. COI editors have whitewashed the page as soon as the protection from Black Kite was lifted yesterday. Would it be possible for you to revert the changes which removed a consensus built article? I guess he/she has two different computers. Make sure you mark both Mr. LuxeTH and Cajalden as cannot edit own talk page same as Revilal90.

  • Can you give more specific examples? In other words, specific edits that are similar or identical, as I'd need to have something to assert sockpuppetry besides similar editing. We have a lot of people that make similar edits because they're only interested in a specific article or type of article, so it'd be good to have more concrete proof. Also, it may be a better idea to get User:CT Cooper to open the SPI, as he was the admin that blocked Revilal90. He'd be more familiar with Revilal90's edit pattern, so he could potentially detect similarities. I'm willing to open one, but we need to be able to build a very good case for this.   • Tokyogirl79 has kindly asked for my input. I was indeed the blocking admin, but that's quite an old block, which I only just remember doing. I only become involved in this case when Revilal90 (talk · contribs) started vandalizing the Justin Bieber article which gave me the justification to issue and indefinite block. Unfortunately, a checkuser isn't going to be of much help in this case, as checkuser data is only kept a short time, so all the technical data on Revilal90 has long since been lost. To block on grounds of sock-puppetry or block evasion without a checkuser, these new accounts would have to pass the WP:DUCK test. Although it's not impossible that there the same user, I don't think the current evidence passes, and we also have to consider the possibility that they're new contributors who will be scared off we throw accusations at them. Found Footage 3D rejection

You rejected the page for Found Footage 3D, saying that the issues on the marked for deletion page had not been resolved. However, my understanding (please correct me if I am wrong) is that the issue was that there was no confirmed source that the movie was filming. I provided a link to a reliable source (Dread Central) confirming that the movie was filming. I have since added an two additional links (to the Austin Chronicle and Bloody Disgusting) per the same.   • At the time you initially submitted it, there was no additional coverage beyond what was at AfD. There wasn't enough coverage to show that it passed notability guidelines. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 04:27, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
  • I'm also concerned that the coverage is still fairly light. The problem with re-submitting it is that people will be watching for it and they could argue that the coverage is still too light- as one user already has done upon the second attempt at re-submitting it. We have this new source, but it's really just a brief reposting of the video diary from the set. There's also a Dread Central link, but it's also fairly brief and people will argue that it's just not in-depth enough. It's one of the frustrating parts of AfD. When something has gone through AfD and been deleted, it's a lot harder to get it back in the mainspace before we have a LOT of coverage. And I mean a massive amount of coverage.   • Just an OCD habit I developed during school. I'd type up notes in Word and the only way to make the notes indent properly was to use the bullet points option, so after a while it just became sort of a habit because it helped me see my notes a little easier. I know that this doesn't entirely do the same thing here on Wikipedia, but by now it's a habit I can't easily shake. The big problem seems to be that there wasn't any licensing information and it didn't show where the material was taken from source-wise. Probably, the user used a descriptiion like in File:EkAkShara gaNapti.jpg (one in the series) where the date and source are not explicitly filled, but given in "Description" part.   • I have to agree with Lor- we'd really need some pretty specific things to point to because SPIs are a lot of work and we'd have to have some pretty big evidence to warrant requesting a checkuser. On a side note, once you have this evidence you can always open up your own SPI and detail the evidence. (You'd have to sign up with an account, of course.) Having an admin go into the SPI with you can be helpful, but it's usually better if the person that suspected the sockpuppets gets things started. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 14:03, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Anyway, I created an article (Jory Collins), an NCAA Division II women's basketball coach, and I was going to continue to work on it. I was wondering if you would be willing to reverse the deletion? Would you care to offer an opinion on best procedure? I sometimes look at Special:BrokenRedirects to see how bad the backlog has gotten. When I have time I do some CSD tagging and fix the occasional misdirected link. This is why I had so many G8s for deletion this weekend. However, there are two types of redirects I'm a bit shy about tagging for deletion:
1) Those associated with a specific user, like User:Ravnwolf/Anairo Media or User:Croohan/Colleen Roohan or (especially in the form of) User:Jlsmith5963/sandbox. I'm particularly leary of tagging sandboxes for CSD when the user has some number of edits (say 50 or more). In the examples above, I'm not too worried about making a new user unhappy, since these appear to be abandoned contributions. Simply blanking another user's sandbox seems a poor choice, wiki-etiquette-wise.
2) Those files which appear on the list, but on click through appear to link to a working file, like File:MAReno.jpg. I don't have a huge number of file edits, so I don't easily recognize the difference between the redlink which appears on the list and that which appears in the (apparently working) redirect File:Marcus Reno.jpg. Tagging for G8 seems wrong if the redirect is working. If the link is working (and the Reno file has appeared on the list for several months), how do I prevent the redirect from appearing on the automatically created list?
I know I could just tag everything, since CSD is a two-user process, but I don't want to be in the habit of tagging incorrectly or without defensible rationale. Especially if improving the link is the better option, I'd rather fix something myself instead of passing it over to someone else. BusterD (talk) 00:18, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

Need help with problematic edits

Can you do me a favor and check out Arjun (2011 film)? I suspect the author has a COI, and his edits have been extremely problematic: copyvios, highly promotional language, attempts to credit the entire cast and crew, etc. I recently gave him a rather sternly-worded "final warning", as I was rather tired of cleaning up after his repeated copypasted plot summaries. His latest edit is almost acceptable, but all it did was substitute a few words for the same old copypaste. I remember that you helped me with a somewhat similar situation on a different article, so I hoping that maybe you could try to explain why his edits are so problematic. Or maybe I'm overreacting. He certainly seems to think so. I think there's a language and cultural barrier, so I'm reluctant to seek sanctions without assuming as much good faith as possible.   • It was extremely promotional in tone and read like it was taken from a press release. Articles should avoid WP:PEACOCK terms and should be written in a neutral and encyclopedic tone (WP:NPOV). Another thing that came across as promotional is that you used hotlinks throughout the article. Hotlinking should be avoided as much as possible and to be honest, most will say that you should avoid hotlinking in articles period. You should link to the university's website once at the bottom of the article in the external links section. There is no need to link to each of the separate fields of study since anyone clicking on the link in the EL section should be able to navigate to those specific sections of the website themselves. On top of all of that, the article also appeared to have been WP:COPYVIO from the school's website. We cannot accept any copyright violations. (Even if the school gives up the content as fair use, the tone would still have been too promotional to keep on Wikipedia.) Finally, I'm assuming that since you said "my university" that you are either a student at the university and/or you are someone who is getting some sort of payment (academic assignment/grade, money, and so on) in exchange for creating the article. Please be aware that this constitutes a conflict of interest and as such, you do need to be up front about this. I would probably recommend that you ask for help via one of the applicable WikiProjects (such as this one) to help ensure that any COI concerns are dealt with. I'd also recommend creating articles via WP:AfC since you are a new user with a conflict of interest. You would still have to meet notability and neutrality guidelines, but it wouldn't be immediately deleted if it comes across as promotional, as would be the case with anything created in the mainspace.   • I'd try to get more reviews in the reception section to help vouch for the generally positive reviews claim. Most books usually receive fairly decent or a "mixed to positive" type of reception, so it shouldn't be hard to back that up. I'm slightly worried that the Boston Globe review was a bit more ambivalent than it was positive, so you might get some guff over that. I usually try to include a negative review in reception sections just to show a bit of difference and allay the whole "you only wanna do positive reviews" thing. I've had that thrown at me a few times, so I started trying to throw in a bit more of a mix and mention some of the criticisms if a review mentioned them quite a bit. If you can find enough, I like doing the type of sentence like "common criticisms were..." and "common elements of praise were..." because it's a good way to include a lot of sources in a few sentences.   • You can tag the article with {{subst:afdx|3rd}}, which will place the template at the top of the page. You'd also use the edit summary Afd: Nominated for deletion; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scott Disick (3rd nomination) in the applicable section at the bottom. From there you pretty much just follow the directions that come up on the page (post {{subst:afd2|pg=Scott Disick|cat=|text=}} ~~~~ on the applicable page and notify anyone majorly involved with the page).   • Uploads get fairly tricky when it comes to photos of that nature. We can claim fair use for things like film posters and book covers, but photos like that are usually owned by a specific person and/or company. You'd have to be able to track down who took it, get their permission to use it on Wikipedia, and then run that permission through WP:ORTS before uploading it. That said, the other big issue with that photo is that it's from 2001 and is thus very out of date, as he's now in his late 20s and that photo was taken when he was about 15. It'd be best if we had a photo from the last 3-4 years, as the primary purpose of the photo would be to identify Morgan and in many cases people can change quite a bit from childhood to adulthood. I need some direction on how to handle an issue, the original admin who handled this has gone inactive. Naru2u was deleted via PROD, then userfyed at the request of the author. It has now been restored without any changes to notability. Would this be a speedy delete or would I have to have to create a full deletion discussion? Thanks.   • I'd recommend going through AfD for this. Someone could probably argue for notability based on the fact that it's a recurring event, so it may just barely squeak through a speedy deletion and make AfD inevitable. Just wanted to say 'thank you so much!' for helping me with the article on Twist Phelan. You are obviously way advanced than I am in making articles just right and everything you mentioned makes a lot of sense and is the reason why I love using Wikipedia as my number 1 go-to for information that is more objective than most other places.

I am neither paid :-( nor did I copy and paste pages from Twist's website. Have never submitted an article and had thought 'Contributions' was the place to put the material until I worked through the Wiki tutorial (and another YouTube one) and since then was trying to climb the (for me) steep learning curve as fast as possible. Happy to give more details but prefer not to do it in such a public space.

Anyway, thank you very much for taking the time to edit the article to the standards I have come to expect from Wikipedia.

A favor if you might...

I've admired how you have so many times built up articles to show their notability. So how would you feel about doing the opposite? The film Deadly Impact is easily determinable as meeting WP:NFF, and has plenty of available sources.... but is suffering at AFD because some (perhaps unskilled) editors think that rather than address issues (which they could do) they quote the essay WP:TNT in supporting it be deleted entirely, and started over from scratch (by someone else). I will be unable to do so myself for a few days, so I would ask that you might lend your skills to reducing it's way overlong plot section to something far less unwieldy, and then perhaps flesh out its reception section just a bit.   • Hmm... that does pose a pretty big problem. I've already moved it to the userspace, but from what you're saying it looks like it is very, very unlikely that it'll ever pass notability guidelines, at least in the near future. I'm leaning towards just letting it sit and then we can delete it eventually as an abandoned AfC article, assuming that the editor abandons it (which is almost always the case in these situations).   • @Abinpbiju: Right now the only way to keep the page from being deleted is to establish notability by showing how the church has received coverage in independent and reliable sources per WP:RS. The sources do not have to be in English and can be in Hindi or any other language that the coverage may be in. I'd also recommend that you ask for help at WP:INDIA, as they might be able to help you find sourcing in one of the languages spoken in India (I know that there are multiple ones besides the two major languages of Hindi and English). If so, then the church would pass notability on that front, as is the case with Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Newark, New Jersey. Otherwise, you will have to show things like news stories about the church, like this news story. Like I said, they don't have to be in English. If the coverage has been predominantly in another language, you can use that as well. If you have coverage for the church that isn't on the Internet (like a newspaper that was never uploaded onto the Internet), you can use that as well- although you should be prepared for someone to ask for you to provide a scan of the article in question if necessary. It looks like they were trying to avoid detection, which is a little disappointing since I hadn't blocked the original user or restricted them at all so there was no reason for them to do this.   • I'll transfer a copy to your userspace, as the biggest issue was how some of the article was phrased. An example would be this sentence:
"CoSign serves a horizontal need, satisfying digital signature requirements across any industry that requires signatures, and can be used anywhere a pen is currently used to sign paper. "
While this is what the product does, it's written in sort of a promotional advert-ish type manner. Removing the term "satisfying" would be a good start, as that's the thing that really stood out in that sentence. I think I'd re-write it like "CoSign can be used to replace traditional pen-and-paper signatures, in any industry that requires signatures." That's pretty clunky (so I wouldn't say to use that one as-is), but it's a more succinct way of putting it without it immediately coming across as promotional. The whole article had sentences like that, which is why I'd deleted it. However that said, I have no problem with restoring it to your userspace since it's not so promotional that it's unsalvageable. (Sorry if that comes across as rude! It's just that I've seen out-and-out promotions and I do think that you are operating in good faith here, meaning that I don't think that this was intentional spam.) It's such a shame that so many sources aren't available on the Internet, partially due to a lack of money to get them up but also largely due to a lack of manpower.   • @Callanecc: There was a bit of a consensus at the RfD for this (protection of some sort, anyway) and it just seemed like it'd be a good idea, as there was a separate attempt to create the page at Fappening.     • Re the consensus you mentioned, there were three people supporting protection (I'm assuming full) including you and one supporting semi and another supporting the current protection (level). Given that the closing admin didn't feel it necessary to fully protect I'm not sure any protection is justified except maybe an extension on the semi or an indef semi. There's enough assertion of notability there to where it'd be best if it went through a proper AfD and I'd also re-written it fairly extensively to where most of the sock's material was either removed or re-written. The only stuff I didn't remove was the section about awards since I was having a little trouble sourcing that, but otherwise it was pretty much all me.   • @Dkeilty: I usually like to have about 2-3 reviews and maybe one article talking about the book, as that would help keep it safe from WP:AfD nominations. The big difficulty here is that you won't be able to use blog sources or anything that would fall under WP:SPS, which makes getting reviews and articles for books more difficult sometimes. If you do need reviews, I could recommend a few places. Trade review sites like Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, and the like can help but they tend to get a stinkeye at deletion discussions so we can't rely overly much on those. They're the kind of thing that can help, but only if we have quite a few other sources. Have any of your local papers reviewed the book? (I'm assuming per your username that you are the author or someone that knows or works with him.) We could use that- sometimes local sources are depreciated because they're local, but they're still usable. Don't worry if any of this sounds labyrinthine or overly complicated because honestly... it is. Trying to scout out what is or isn't usable is often a pretty frustrating endeavor because if it's up for deletion then people will pick sources apart. (I'm not saying the article is up for anything, but I figure that if we can source it to where it'll be safe from the start, then we won't have to worry after it's put in the mainspace.) Anywho, as far as sourcing goes, I'd recommend talking to Tor.com, SF Signal, Horn Book Guide, Locus Online, and the like. There's never a guarantee of reviews (although it should be easier now that the book has been optioned), but they're places that are considered to be absolutely reliable. Papers like The Independent and the Irish Times are good as well- generally speaking, almost all newspaper reviews will be usable for the most part. On a side note, if multiple books in the series have received reviews then we could always do a series page as opposed to an entry for the first book. Those are usually easier to source since the sources usually pile up more easily when we look at stuff for multiple entries. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 05:33, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

I see plenty of mentions of things that members have done, but as notability is WP:NOTINHERITED by the individual accomplishments of members you must show notability by way of independent and reliable sources that focus on the society itself." I have done a search for sources that mention SPSR and in most all of them the focus is on work that has been done by particular members of the society in the area of planetary SETI. The "society itself" is a collection of scientists and scholars whose common interest is a scientific approach to the study of possible martian artifacts. Thus the sources would inevitably deal with one aspect or another of this subject, invariably mentioning the planetary SETI research of one or more of its members...Before I do a rewrite of the planned article (which would include the encyclopedic aspects) I would like some guidance from you on whether the sources I have located qualify for the sources you would like to see.   • @Shirt58: No, it'd ultimately be a waste of time even if we did restore it- and I don't say that very often about articles. (At this point in time it's been speedied.) The problem is, all of the claims in the article are the same as the ones that were made when the article went to AfD last time. While the article creator did try to add more sources, the article is pretty much word-for-word the same article that was brought up at AfD and the sources all had the same issues as the ones that were shown at the last AfD. Ultimately what happened in this situation is that we have someone is is only slightly notable for a few things: that one of his songs appeared in a TV show and that he had a squabble with a notable person. The song appearance never turned into news coverage for the singer at all and his squabble was ultimately fairly minor and would be seen as one of those things that would fall under WP:NOT. As far as his other claims go, those were all things that were overly puffed up to be something more than they were: I know that at the AfD one person made the argument that because KraVen had been invited to notable gatherings (or to gatherings in general) that this made him notable by association, and that because he was on an album, that this made him notable as well- despite the fact that there were no RS reviews or coverage that mentioned him anywhere. A good example of how puffed up the claims was the statement "In 2000, KraVen guest starred on the Image Award-winning television series, "City of Angels" starring Blair Underwood and on Golden Globe-winning medical drama television series, "ER"." Those "starring" roles were both bit parts as "Football Player 1" and "Patient"- bit parts, to be specific and ones that aren't considered to give notability. The guy's pretty non-notable per our standards at the end of the day and the AfC article was kind of this guy's last ditch attempt to get a fairly promotional article on to Wikipedia. Again, running it through AfD would ultimately be a waste of time because the claims were found to ultimately be a case of puffery and promotional-speak and that none of the claims were ultimately enough to prove notability. Autumn vacation

Hi, how's it going,

Some editors on this article are not being civil on the matter. Although I am interested to see how universal suffrage would be for the people of Hong Kong, the way a few (quite a few) unscrupulous editors have conducted themselves is contrary to Wikipedia polices, immoral actions can never justify a cause, no matter how noble.

Here are two of the editors that are working in tandem 24/7 towards the article:

They reverted everything by these 2 users, and have stated that those are my accounts on a report.

Here are some examples:

  • Wholesale blanking of sections or anything, even genuninely sourced information, opposed to blatant errors or honest mistakes
  • Removal of genuinely sourced information and stating in the comments that it was unsourced.
  • Injection of bullshit into the article. (pardon). Some examples would include:

"The protesters... media coverage about their high degree of organisation, politeness, tidiness, and staunch adherence to nonviolence."

  • Describing the movement as "spontaneous movement of the masses"
  • They keep labeling the movement as autonomous. Being autonomous would imply that the movement has already reached a critical mass. There are at least two logical fallacies that would imply as a result, that would mean that the movement has become violent, and second, it means it has spiraled out of control.
  • These 2 editors wrote that the whole City of Hong Kong supported the protests, which is not the case. "People of Hong Kong"
  • Use of multiple sockpuppets accounts to achieve their means
  • Stating I am vandalizing (you can check the edit history and compare the difference between my edits and the previous one).

I'd like your opinion on this matter without our being involved, or perhaps a one-liner explaining on the talk page and on the Administrators' noticeboard that I am not the same person as STSC would be helpful. If you feel that they have mistaken in assuming for good faith and you want to change the article back to its original context, I'll help with cleaning it up. :) Thank you.

Some examples of edits, these 2 editors placed movement has become fully autonomous or inserted the phrase "spontaneous movement of the masses" on the right-hand pane which took 3 days of reverting these edits before they stopped.

A random example of my edits in a single day (Most of the changes are mine with the exception of the student editors' insert of "violently charged").
