Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to List of films containing frequent marijuana use, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. valereee (talk) 19:05, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Red Shield", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is the name of a business. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. "Red Shield" is the name of an insurance company according to Google; you will need to change your username. 331dot (talk) 19:09, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of films containing frequent marijuana use. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges.

Red Shield, stop re-adding the disputed information until the discussion on the talk page reaches consensus. You are up against the policy against multiple reversions, which can be found at WP:3RR, and which you can be blocked for. valereee (talk) 20:58, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at List of films containing frequent marijuana use. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. - Epinoia (talk) 01:09, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Signing one's posts

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.--Quisqualis (talk) 22:48, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
