Welcome!

Hello, Redneckgenius, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Apollo Financial Group, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.melodika.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=425372&Itemid=54.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Apollo Financial Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. AllyD (talk) 17:41, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Apollo Financial Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Removing Speedy at Apollo Financial Group

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 18:24, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In case you missed the remarks at the article's talk page, I'm commenting here. Your first attempt was deleted as promo. (And it was...) That fell foul of both WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV (neutral point of view). Your second try very commendably passed SPAM and NPOV - but failed WP:CORP and WP:RS. CORP is corporate notability. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. In directories such as AboutUs, your first or second efforts would have been quite OK. Here, no. We require notability. (Mere significance will pass the speedy deletion tests, but notability is rather better to aim at as it will pass the other tests.) Our definition of notability is based on reasonably widespread coverage in reliable independent sources (RS). Unfortunately, this means that some companies and certain lines of business don't very often make it. One case was a multi-million turnover company whose products were used by millions every day. Non-notable. Their name wasn't on any of their cans as they made 'own brand' goods for chains. Successful, yes. Notable, no. Outside the chains, their employees (and the Infernal Revenue), no-one had heard of them. This company sounds rather back room too. Keeping the wheels of finance revolving, but have they been reviewed in The New York Times? (That's a for example - doesn't have to be the NYT. Mustn't be own site, blog, wiki, PRWire etc, Facebook etc, etc.) Not every company gets an article. (Anyone can at AboutUs or MySpace if you just want to get info out...) Fair? Maybe not. That's how it works here. Peridon (talk) 19:57, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
