Llansaint

Hi, its good to see you having a go at expanding Llansaint. However it has quite a few issues that need addressing. In particular you have not put any sources for your information. It is key to the verifiability of Wikipedia that the information has already been published in a reliable place, and that the article shows how to find the source via references (see help:footnotes). These might be printed material, or online sources, but in both cases they need inline citations. This process might also help you to make your information more specific, rather than the general statements on some of the subject areas. There is also an element of self-publicity particularly in relation to the use and mention of the art work, which is inappropriate for an encyclopaedia. I am sure your adopter will help you to tackle these issues. If you want specific help with the Llansaint page, that could be discussed at Talk:Llansaint. Best wishes, RobinLeicester (talk) 21:23, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

I have sorted out the map coordinates. Converting between different geographic coordinates is quite complex, but useful to get the hang of. There is useful article at Geographic coordinate conversion (you will see that although useful, it has a message about being inappropriate for wikipedia. I would recommend not following the suggestion to 'improve' it at this stage!). If you can take some llansaint photos and upload them to wikimedia commons, that would be a big improvement for the article. The self-publicity issue will always be tricky. I would say if there is an online catalogue or review of the eisteddfod that mentions Llansaint, then I would be willing to look at writing a paragraph about it. If it is just you saying this is something you did, then it would be better removed as not verifiable or notable, I am afraid. For the rest of the article, it will make a good 'improving ground' for you to tackle references, and perhaps think how to combine some of the headings to simplify the structure. It is very encouraging that you are prepared to work at this. RobinLeicester (talk) 21:02, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Sorry to butt in. I just noticed you mentioned something about sources. I think that problem should definitely be solved in the future as I am mentoring RexRowan and he has just done the lesson about sourcing etc.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:32, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Great work by both of you. RobinLeicester (talk) 22:15, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Possible mistake?

I wonder if this was a mistake, possibly meant for a different user? I have checked all of the user's edits in the last week, and I can't find either a personal attack or a blanking of a section. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:09, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

I am very sorry. I saw a paragraph has been blanked and thought it was vandalism. I have undone my mistake. -- RexRowan  Talk  14:17, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Adoption

Yes, of course, I will adopt you. I will give you a link to a form I would like you to fill out first, a little later.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:35, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

And here is the form: User:Adam mugliston/Entry/RexRowan
Thanks for filling that out. I'm afraid I may not be able to help you that much with graphics, depending on what you mean by "make awesome graphics". I will give you a link to your adoption page a little later.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:50, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Apologies for the delay, my internet connection was playing up, I was away a lot and was unable to sort out your adoption, but finally here it is: User:Adam mugliston/Adopt/RexRowan.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:31, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Not to worry, thank you for uploading my adoption page. I will read through them! :D --RexRowan (talk) 13:16, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar! I'll upload your next lesson now. There's a test this time!!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:32, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
My! Thanks for all these barnstars! Test coming up!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:54, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
By the way, if you complete the test, you will be my most advanced adoptee, although the newest! Keep up the good work. Test is up!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:56, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
Great, I will mark your test. Check back on the test in a few minutes. By the way, I'm T-Total :-)  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:52, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

It's non-alcoholic! :D --RexRowan (talk) 20:55, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Great!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:03, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

So, are you ready for lesson 3?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  22:00, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

By the way, I see you've copied the border and buttons off my user page. I don't think you currently have much use for many of the buttons, so might I suggest WP:UPDC? Also, maybe change the border colour to your favourite colour? I'm not writing this because I mind you taking the buttons, just to let you know it's easy to personalise.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  22:03, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Wow, that's what I'm talking about! I love it! Will redesign my userpage! And yes, I am ready for lesson 3! :D

Lesson 3 is up. It's a short one and has a short test. Remember to sign everything you write on a talk page!!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  10:36, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok, will remember! :D --RexRowan (talk) 10:38, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

That's good, I hope you do. Signing posts is very important and you can get 'told off' by not signing quite a lot, so bear that in mind. Tell me when you're ready for Lesson 3 Test.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  10:48, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Test is up!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:22, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Marked. Well done, you did great. I'll put Lesson 4 up.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:34, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

I forgot to ask: Do you want to do lesson 4a on Copyright of old text? Also, another thing: I want to create a new optional lesson on userspace and user pages. Ask me as many questions about user space and user tools as you can, as that will help me find out what information new users would like. Thanks.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:37, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much, I am so happy! Thank you for being such a patient teacher! :D --RexRowan (talk) 21:38, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm happy with anything you want to teach me. I did some editing on my userpage and cleaned up the stub Llansaint I expanded. :D --RexRowan (talk) 21:42, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok, I'll add Lesson 4a tomorrow, it will be part of Lesson 4, however untested (unless I get round to making a test before you're done, which is unlikely). I noticed you customised your user page and I'll have a look at Llansaint. I hope you don't mind participating in my user page lesson pilot thingy.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:44, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
My! You have done a lot of work on Llansaint. Very well done! You're doing great.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:45, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Not at all, it's an awesome idea! --RexRowan (talk) 21:46, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Great. I am also considering a: Being Nice and Appreciating Others lesson. What do you think?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:48, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Good idea! Then we will know the protocols on dealing with others! --RexRowan (talk) 21:50, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

I mainly meant rewards e.g. cookies, beers, barnstars and hopefully protocol about dealing will be explained well in the other compulsory lessons. I'll let you get through that first and then ask me any questions you have about dealing with others and that will give me ideas for the new lesson. Thanks for your help. I'm logging off for today and I will be out until about 8pm tomorrow, so don't rush with Copyright. It's a complicated topic, but you've been understanding very well so far, so you should be fine. Tell me when you're ready for the test.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:55, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Aha, the awards stuff, of course. I would like to know! So far I only know how to send Wiki Love to people's talk page, be good to know more! Nighty night! --RexRowan (talk) 21:57, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Just popped in quickly before I dash off. Yes, there are many other awards except WikiLove which I can teach you about if you like. There are things like awards for most edits and things like that or for writing good articles.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  05:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Turns out I'm staying in today, so feel free to ask any questions.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  07:12, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Awesome, why you had to leave so early? What do you do?--RexRowan (talk) 09:02, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

I had to leave early, because I had to catch a train at 8 in the morning, I was going out for the day with my friend (I'm on holiday), but he cancelled as he's not feeling well and I didn't feel like going alone, so we postponed.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  10:49, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
I'll put in the test :-)  Adam Mugliston  Talk  10:53, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Great, well done. Read my comments. You did well. Ready for Lesson 5? This is the one I hope will teach you about dealing with others etc.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  12:12, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Wow, thank you very much! Sure, bring it on! :D --RexRowan (talk) 12:21, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Coming right up! By the way, what do you think of the idea of giving reports to graduated adoptees? (I think you might be my first)  Adam Mugliston  Talk  12:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Sure! :D --RexRowan (talk) 12:43, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Test coming up!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  13:26, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Marked. Read my comments.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:57, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

I read through the links you provided and extracted the essence then reworded a little for I'm worried about missing out on the list. If you want me to reword it to be quite different than the original article, I can make some changes. Is that ok? :D --RexRowan (talk) 17:06, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

No, that's fine. If you have read them that's good. In that case, very well done. I'll put up Lesson 6 soon.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Awesome! :D --RexRowan (talk) 17:46, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

It's ready when you are.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:52, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Test right up!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:15, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, I butted in a bit in your exam, just have a look at my notes in red.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:03, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Great. I'll mark it, check back in a few minutes.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:41, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Marked. Well done, you did well. Ready for Lesson 7? By the way, it's customary to move your barnstars onto your user page or if you have an awards subpage, like I do, to there.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:53, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Yay! Thank you so much! Yes, please upload lesson 7! I already have created an award icon on my user page, check it out, it has got the barnstar you gave me! :D --RexRowan (talk) 20:04, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
No problem, I'll upload Lesson 7. I meant that you move it across rather than copy, so take it off here.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:10, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Done! :D --RexRowan (talk) 20:11, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Great. Did you get to read lesson 6a? There seems to be a problem with it. I'm just popping out, I will be back in 40 minutes. In the mean time, you get get on with Lesson 7.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:14, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok. Yeah, I've read 6a. --RexRowan (talk) 20:15, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Test coming up. Policy is very important, so please really make sure you understand everything.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  10:33, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Marking now.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  11:38, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Indeed, Lesson 6a seems to have disappeared and I can't restore it for some reason, just remains blank... if you need to look at it use this: User:Adam mugliston/Adopt/CSD. Lesson 8 coming up. Thanks for the barnstar by the way.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  12:29, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Very well done on the UBX!!!! Yes, there is a test. Would you like it?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:49, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much! I just kept on tweaking till I got what I wanted, hehehe. Yeah, I would like to have a look at the test please. :D --RexRowan (talk) 16:53, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Test is up. Note: Pass rate is a lot higher on this test. I'm really looking for 100%, but slightly lower may be acceptable. You will come across templates loads and I want you to understand this super well.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:00, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Is there a test string after #if: in the template? --RexRowan (talk) 17:40, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
What do you mean by test string?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:45, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
In the Other tricks paragraph, where the testing string gives the testing subject choices between different values? --RexRowan (talk) 18:13, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Yes, there is a test string after the #if.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:27, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
The code only works for the first one when I call it. I have to rewrite it for the rest of the questions I think.--RexRowan (talk) 18:34, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
You need to rewrite only for question 4. Let me see the problem first.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:43, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

You need to specify the name parameter for question 2.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:45, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

If I specify the parameter then you will have to get rid of the #if|. Also, there are two choices between pass this module and eat a butterfly, yes? The choices are not reflected by the parameter's default value and added value choice. --RexRowan (talk) 18:58, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Hmmm, I looked into it carefully and something has gone wrong, as you said. I'll have to work on it, I'm not sure what happened there. Sorry.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:12, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

No worries. :D --RexRowan (talk) 19:15, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Fixed. I think I was just missing }}}. Go ahead now, should be fine.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:16, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I will give it a go! :D --RexRowan (talk) 19:18, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok, done. --RexRowan (talk) 20:12, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Great. Marked.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:17, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

I know. I struggled a bit tweaking the last one. I thought I could just add a new template or add a separate code after it. Can you show me how to do it correctly? :D --RexRowan (talk) 20:22, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Sure. Give me a sec, I'll edit the template then your answer to question 4 and then have a look in a few minutes.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:23, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
OK, Have a look. The way I showed you is the way I did it, when I did that test myself. (I was adopted and did the exact same course as you are now.)  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:27, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for helping me out! I think I understand your logic in providing two values for intend and the extra| could prevent the second one shown if not named right? I will write a few more templates in the future. --RexRowan (talk) 20:45, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Do have a go at templates. I have and I have succeeded in the past, as well as failed partly (not as much though), however that was mainly when using existing templates that needed to be combined and all that complicated stuff that I can't really get my head round. Anyway, Lesson 9? Your second to final lesson?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:51, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok. :D --RexRowan (talk) 20:54, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Lesson 9 ready.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:06, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

I have found some links and ready to move on. -- RexRowan  Talk  11:54, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
OK, I'll look at the links and put the test up. By the way, why didn't you revert the vandalism?!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  11:57, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
You told me in the article ' I don't want you to remove the edit yourself just yet - we'll get to this shortly and chances are, another editor or bot will beat you to it.' -- RexRowan  Talk  12:00, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, so I have. Oops, sorry. Fair enough then.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  12:16, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok, done the test. -- RexRowan  Talk  12:45, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Great. You're not getting marks this time, as the questions are largely opinions, but I will still leave a comment.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  13:18, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

I left some comments. I'm mostly out this afternoon and evening, but if I have a moment, I'll write up something about Twinkle for you to look at. You have one more short lesson which is compulsory and the final test, which is currently unavailable due to technical difficulties, so I will get that to you ASAP, but meanwhile there's stuff to do. Just a note for after you graduate: I'm sure you will do well and graduate, but if you would like to, you can remain in adoption. If not, that's fine and I'm proud, but I will always be here if you need me. I graduated a year and a half ago and I still frequently go back to my adopter. He gave me advice about adopting and this is actually his course, which he adapted from another user, which I also adapted slightly. So, I am here for any help you need throughout your Wikipedia life.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  13:37, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
So, can I put up Lesson 10? I'll work on 9a - Twinkle and I'll have it ready as soon as possible. What internet browser do you use?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:28, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Yes please. I have Internet Explorer, Aurora, Chrome. -- RexRowan  Talk  16:31, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
It will be right up. You will have to use Chrome for TW. I am unfamiliar with Aurora, so I'm not sure about that, but IE will not work.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:34, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Can I graduate? I would like to graduate, but I will keep in touch! :D -- RexRowan  Talk  16:47, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Yes, of course you will graduate after you pass the test, however if you would like to you can still stay under adoption for a bit, where I can allocate more time to assist you, should you require that, rather than for other users, however all my other adoptees are highly inactive, so I guess it makes no difference for now. But, yes you can graduate as soon as you pass the test, which you can do as soon as I make sure it works!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:22, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Yes, you can graduate and then remain in adoption to still officially have me for any advice and if you want any extra lesson I might create. Is there anything you would like to know about user space and user tools?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:17, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

I am not very familiar with the apps and icons. I think I will look into them a little more. :D -- RexRowan  Talk  18:37, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Well feel free to ask about any of them.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:37, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Right, I believe the test is ready for you when you wish to do it.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:31, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I would like to do it but I will be out the whole day. On Money I may have to sell my artworks, I will tell you. -- RexRowan  Talk  08:18, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
That's fine, tell me when you want it. You will have a week to do it.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  08:41, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you, will let you know what happens. :D -- RexRowan  Talk  09:08, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
OK, no problem. I am warning you now, the test is quite long. All details will be given to you on the exam page, for which I will give you the link when you are ready. Do not start the exam yourself, if you accidentally find it, as I have to make sure everything shows up right etc. I am going out soon and I will probably be out the rest of the morning (optometrist appointment, Joy... NOT) and then I am going down the nearest bigger(ish) town for lunch, coffee and probably a walk so I will probably be out until about 4pm. I'll be here after that. Don't worry yourself with rushing. The final exam needs concentration and the time limit could be stressful for some users, however I can honestly tell you, the test shouldn't really take over 3 days, but it's fine if it does up to week.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  09:20, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Well done. I have started the Twinkle lesson, it's here: User:Adam mugliston/Adopt/Twinkle. For now only use the mentioned options, I'll be expanding ASAP, but I'm decorating today . D'you want the exam?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  13:03, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok, bring it on. I took my sons flying plane yesterday. It's their school holiday, I wish I can go through the exam without too much distraction. I also added a status app. Do you live in Suffolk? -- RexRowan  Talk  14:07, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Coming up! Good luck! Real planes?! Yes, I do live in Suffolk, how did you know?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  15:01, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
I have just started the test. Wow, there's a lot to do. I think I will start with the written test first as the practical may cost some time to find the links. Yes, it's a real plane, small one though. I can share the photos of my son and the plane with you but I guess I can not upload it to commons. I saw you wrote articles about Suffolk politics.-- RexRowan  Talk  16:45, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Great. That's fine, just make sure you actually perform the tasks, e.g. cleanup, revert vandalism especially for the exam and then provide a diff. Wow, how old are your sons? Yes, please do send me some photos. My e-mail is: adam.mugliston5498@yahoo.co.uk Where do you live?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:57, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
About those Suffolk politics things, this was to build up my portfolio of creating notable articles.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:58, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Ah, I also meant to say: Don't use the lessons to help you answer the exam questions!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:59, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Oh, ok, I will use my own words. I live in Wales. My sons are 6 and 5, will send you some photos. :D -- RexRowan  Talk  17:02, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
In that case, I assume your sons were not the ones flying? Great. Thanks. Which county do you live in?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:04, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
I live in Carmarthenshire. The polite let my elder son fly with him and let him took over for a while. He learned how to make the plane fly up and down and was very good at it. The polite said he was born a pilot and the air cadets were recruiting him already :D -- RexRowan  Talk  17:08, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, in Scotland, isn't it? That was nice of the pilot and I'm amazed he managed. He must be a pretty smart 6 year-old!.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:10, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
It's in Wales. Are you interested in Welsh bus routes? I have sent the photos to you! :D -- RexRowan  Talk  17:17, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, oops. That tells you how well I do with the geography of the UK! I only know about half the counties :D. Yes, I'm interested in most bus routes. I am currently working on a private (non-WP) list of bus routes in Bristol. I might do Cardiff soon, as that is one of the places I am stopping at on holiday.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:19, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
No worries, I know even less! :D Your organizing ability of the bus routes is very impressive! -- RexRowan  Talk  17:23, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Well thanks, however a large amount of users disagree with having bus routes on Wikipedia (which is the main form of public transport in the UK!), yet agree to trains, planes, boats and pretty much everything else. They think they are non-encyclopaedic. Ha! Most also disagree with the colouring of the routes matching the colours on maps and timetables, however I think they are very useful. That's why I began creating private lists rather than ones on WP. That way I can have as much detail as I want. So far I have created: Bedford, Luton & Dunstable, Bracknell, Slough, Windsor & Ascot and am currently creating Bristol.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:33, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok, went through with the written test. I'd probably have to meditate frequently when I go though the practical, I shall do that tomorrow, hopefully I don't come across a vandal that will wreck my page, fingers crossed! -- RexRowan  Talk  19:05, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
BTW, does the Llansaint stub I expanded count as my new project task? It is part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Wales. Or I have to join a new project and perform a new task? -- RexRowan  Talk  19:18, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Don't worry about vandals, I'll make sure the page is safe :D. You don't have to join a new project, but you have to do a new task. The project may ask to clean-up an article, expand an article, ref an article, so do one of them.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:57, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Alright! :D -- RexRowan  Talk  20:00, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Good. Well done on completing the Written Test, I'll mark it when you complete both sections.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:20, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much! It's going to take some time as the robots are way faster than me on reversing the vandals. -- RexRowan  Talk  20:23, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
If that happens a silly amount of times, then tell me, i'll give you a tip which might help a bit.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  20:58, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
I'm not doing very well on finding vandalism, some obvious ones were reversed by robots and the rest is difficult to tell if there's no obvious swearing words in them. -- RexRowan  Talk  16:19, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Hmmm, look out not only for swear words, but for people mucking up numbers, blanking, adding random information or unrelated information on the recent changes. I always check IPs first, particularly if the change is big (see the red numbers next to the diff button). Just keep trying.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:42, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok. I don't want to let you down. I will keep on trying. -- RexRowan  Talk  16:44, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
I meant to say: look out for edit summaries which say something like: Tag: section blanked or something. Dead giveaway of likely vandalism.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
i€ just spotted a blanked page, somebody beat me to it: [1] -- RexRowan  Talk  16:48, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Rowan, that was a user's subpage which they edited themselves... Never revert that!!!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:50, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

I am very sorry. I will keep on looking! -- RexRowan  Talk  16:51, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
It's ok. Just use logic. User on own userspace - can do what user wants.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:53, 30 J-- RexRowan  Talk  16:54, 30 July 2012 (UTC)uly 2012 (UTC)
OK. :D

Suggestion: Don't bother with the status thing. I've tried twice before and after about 12 hours, you just forget about it.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:59, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok, it doesn't work very well anyway. -- RexRowan  Talk  17:02, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
I know, those things are annoying.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:06, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
You live in Rendham? -- RexRowan  Talk  17:08, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Spotted another one but didn't reverse on time [2] -- RexRowan  Talk  17:26, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh dear. Where did yo get Rendham from? Does someone you know live there? No, I don't live in Rendham, but I live quite close to there.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  17:31, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
I saw it on Google+ :D -- RexRowan  Talk  17:58, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh! Yes, I know what that was now! I live not far from Rendham. I'm assuming you saw that Field Dance thing? I'm just pooping out for a bit now, I should be back by 9pm, probably a bit earlier.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:06, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm going out today, I will be home (and so with laptop) about 5pm, maybe earlier if I catch the earlier bus.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  06:13, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm home if you need me.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:09, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
I was designing a website that I run today but don't worry, I will be here tomorrow. :D -- RexRowan  Talk  19:33, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Found one[3]
Another one[4]
And another[5]

But they've all been reverted by ClueBot. I'm not here tomorrow, I should be back about 8.30pm, but may be as late as 9.30pm. I will be here early for a moment about 7.30am-8.30am. What website do you run? By the way, I never got those pictures of your sons.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:57, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

I know, I will keep on looking. This is the website, it contains my sons' photos [6] -- RexRowan  Talk  09:31, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
How are you doing with vandal fighting? I'm out from 10 - 5.30 today, but will be here all evening if you need me. Nice picture, which one is which?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  07:33, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
I feel I am not a vandal fighting material. Blanked pages and offensive language are easy to spot but if someone alter the content, unless I have in depth knowledge, I fear to pick on the wrong person. I am still alive :D -- RexRowan  Talk  18:33, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
I'm glad you're still here. When content alterations happen, look for things that just don't look right. Like football club from 1700s or someone who may not ring a bell, but is changed from 28 to 82 years old. I can't remember your finish date, but for now keep going.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:58, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I noticed a few of those but others have corrected them. I run out of time tomorrow afternoon. -- RexRowan  Talk  19:28, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Well do as much as you can, I'm sure you did well on the other questions.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:34, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much! I noticed a few strange edits but not too sure whether they are valid because I don't know about those subjects. Shall I just point them out in my exam without reverse them in case I make people furious? :D -- RexRowan  Talk  19:36, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok, do that and in the warning diff, just give the template you would use to warn the vandal.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:41, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! That makes it a lot easier. :D -- RexRowan  Talk  19:51, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Well, if you're struggling then I need to make it easier!  Adam Mugliston  Talk  19:53, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
I seem to be getting better at this. Will try again tomorrow. -- RexRowan  Talk  21:16, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok. Remember: If you can - Revert!! and then provide diff for that. If not, then do what we agreed, but I will have to lower your marks a little bit.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  21:34, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok, that's reasonable. I reverted all of them and provided warnings on some of them as the bot or other editors beat me to it as you will see in the history. -- RexRowan  Talk  08:03, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Alright. Tell me when you would like to mark your exam. You can still use your I think 4 or 6 hours if you like.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  11:51, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Go ahead, let's get this over with. After I passed this, we can move on to do other things. I can practise my anti vandal skills in the time to come, I know how to do it anyway. I wrote an new article this morning: Young Engineers. -- RexRowan  Talk  11:56, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Well done on the article! Though, maybe rename the 'Stuff' section? Or did you mean Staff? I'll mark your exam and let you know when it's done.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  11:59, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

First two links for the New Page Patrol don't work. Could you check them?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  12:00, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh yes, hehehe, it's staff. I don't know why the new page patrols didn't work. I'll do some new ones. -- RexRowan  Talk  12:19, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Great, let me know when you're ready.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  12:21, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
OK!I'm on it. -- RexRowan  Talk  12:24, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok, done. Good I still have some time left, if there's any more problem, I'm here all day to fix them. -- RexRowan  Talk  12:32, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
I have marked your test. Well done. I will give you your report in a moment.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  14:53, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

The report: User:Adam mugliston/Adopt/Report/RexRowan.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  14:56, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

You have graduated!!!! Very well done. I am pleased with how you have done. As a graduated adoptee I would like you to fill out this for me: User:Adam mugliston/Adopt/Survey/RexRowan, Don't worry though, as you have chosen to remain in adoption, you still are.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  15:08, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Awesome! I have finished it. Thank you very much again! :D -- RexRowan  Talk  15:14, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you. So, if you need me, I am still here for you. Anything coming to your mind you would like to learn still?  Adam Mugliston  Talk  15:17, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
I think I can construct an article without much problem now. If I write new articles, I will send you the link to see if there's anything missing. :D -- RexRowan  Talk  15:20, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
That's very good. I hope to get many more adoptees like you. My other 8 are very inactive. So much so, that during your adoption I have only spoken to one of my adoptees twice. So, thanks for being a good adoptee.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  15:28, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
