ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Indiscriminate removal of content on Chess in India
I write with deep concern at your edit on the page Chess in India dated 28-Jan-2021. You appear to have in removed some prior content indiscriminately. The edit log indicates the comment "Removing reductant material". I am surprised that you have removed all content related Blind Chess players and even a link to their page. I did not see any discussion or mention of good reasons for your actions in the talk page.
Blind Chess players in India have played a key role in the global Chess movement in India and players like Darpan Inani have done yoeman service to promoting the game globally amongst those with special visibility needs. Also the other two tables containing the top 10 players in India do add value to the overall coverage and context of the page.
Removing (blanking out in part) content without consultation with other editors or proper judgement is incorrect in an open collaborative environment. Please cease and desist from such activity. And do restore content you removed from the page, after you review this page.
It is good to see your active editing efforts in 2020. I do appreciate your ongoing volunteer efforts as a fellow editor.
