You know the MOS is so confusing nowadays, I don't know what's right or wrong half the time! And I saw your edit linking Parins to Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and I figured I would give it a quick read. Thanks for the help with Ust-Shchuger. It was interesting to see that page come up on my talk page, because it was the second article and around the 10th edit I ever did on Wikipedia. And thanks, I try to keep up with things. When you put a lot of work into something, its difficult to stop keeping an eye on what you've done. And its good to see you're still here. Off Road racing

Thanks! I'm having trouble finding the birth date and birthplace of J.N. Roberts, so if you know where to find that I'd appreciate it. Also, the Off Road Hall of Fame site, lists him as winner of the 1967 Mexican 1000, but other articles say he was in the lead when he broke down. I like your signature, with its separate links to your user and talk pages. Are you signing by typing the usual four tildes (if so, what creates those links?), or are you pasting it as wikitext, including date and time? I'd appreciate being let into your tricks. I'm happy to help! I do sign with the normal 4 tildes. The key is to set your preferences to not use the default signature. You click on the "My Preferences" link in the upper right. Then you scroll down to the "Signature" (so you stay on the User Profile tab). The key is to add a check mark to the "Sign my name exactly as shown" box. Then you add the HTML code or wikitext to do what you want for your name. I had classes on HTML, but you can copy my idea. You can find my signature by reading the code that is placed at my signature when you edit this section. A tip is 3 ' means bold. The date is automatically added at the end. So my code is '''<font color="#000000">[[User:Royalbroil|Royal]]</font><font color="#FFCC00">[[User talk:Royalbroil|broil]]</font>'''. While you're in the preferences, I highly recommend adding the a "Cite" button to your toolbar on the edit window - it's slick like butter! Click the "Gadgets" tab, and add a check mark to "refTools, adds a "cite" button to the editing toolbar for quick and easy addition of commonly used citation templates." Just place the insertion point where you want to add the citation, click the CITE button, and paste in the URL, article name, author, etc. Royalbroil 03:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Face the Ace

Hello. I am here on behalf of my friend (known on Wikipedia as Face the Ace). He hardly ever uses Wikipedia and he tells me that you have accused him of sock puppetry. May I ask why? He only registered on Wikipedia to help me with some articles every once in a while. You mentioned that he would be blocked from Wikipedia if he continued to sock puppet. If things are as you say, then your friend has nothing to worry about. It was a person hand-written note giving advice. I've seen it PLENTY of times in my years here - two people who keep voting the same way on the same things end up proven to be the same person trying to stack votes in their favor. I have not taken any steps besides providing a link to sockpuppetry on Face's talk page and I hope that it has already ended at this stage. I hope that any suspicions that I have had are wrong. Good. He was worried when he discovered your message that he called me immedeatly. He was worried that he was going to get banned. He did not want to have any contact with anyone on Wikipedia; he's afraid of getting his identity stolen. He's really paranoid about things like that. Anyway, thanks for clearing things up. Row Crop

I am working on it; scroll to list four or fourth list on my userpage; it's a subpage of mine. I used to think it refered to tractors that were meant to be able to straddle rows and have narrow tires but it's actually any crop farmed in rows and any tractor that does the farming. Row crop picture

Can you think of a picture on Wikipedia where the words "row crop" can clearly be seen on a tractor; the Oliver picture is fairly low resolution; if I had thought about it I'd have teaken an up close shot of Row Crop on a tractor at the last Pageant of Steam that I go to every year. Yea, it's looking good! How about making a hatnote with the {{for}} template linking crop, and then writing the article strictly about the type of tractor? I'm not at all surprised that this topic has LOTS of info! I expected that the topic had already been written about 4-5 years ago back when Wikipedia was the new kids on the block (around when I started). I looked - I have only a few more pictures of older tractors but none have the words "ROW CROP" visible. I could take a picture of the 9N showing the adjustable nature of the front wheels. Housebarn

Hi. The Lower Saxon house is certainly a combination of living quarters, animal stalls and storage barn, but it is quite a specific design and doesn't look like the photo in your article. In fact your housebarn looks more like the Middle German house which was also a combined dwelling. My suggestion is you continue with your article focussed on the American variant and link to other similar articles like those I've just mentioned under "See also". Vic, that 19th century slavery article is very interesting and I found several sources from major U.S. universities that talk about an American "delegation" which went to that convention. Nyttend did most of the article and I had it nominated at DYK. Then I found an article on it in the Appleton Post Crescent and expanded it a fair bit plus tightened up some of the content with this new source. I see; after talking with friends some time ago, I'd been under the impression that somehow you had to pay if you didn't want your account to be deleted after a short time, or something like that. I had thought the pro option was basically if you wanted to be able to do more with the images, not simply so that you could host more of them. Curious, is it possible to gain access to one's Yahoo email address (the one set up when you create a Flickr account) in any way other than logging into Flickr? I tried to send an email from my new Flickr email address to my "real" email address, but it won't let me because my real email address isn't a contact, and I can't find any other way to log into Yahoo email. As far as I know, the only way to access the flickr email is within flickr. And I don't think that you can send a message to anywhere else. You might be able to cut and paste the message into an email. I don't know if it would help you, but you could send the message to my flickr account and I could try to do something with it. One of the editors took out the whole section of the UW-La Crosse alumni claiming it is not cited. There were only 4 redlinks but they had citations. I don't work in Iowa like Doncram thought. I do Wisconsin articles by adding many pictures. I haven't worked on any content. I have worked on some Good Articles on other topics. You need to flesh out content, some stats, very much to do to get it to featured. It's basically at the start level. No insult intended. At least featured lists aren't usually to hard to do. Hey Royalbroil. I believe you more experience dealing with photos and how fair use on copyrighted images is dealt with these days. Am I right in saying that a photo like File:SenatorVinehout.jpg which has been plucked from a recent Wisconsin Blue Book does not comport with current fair I recall that we've had problems like this with Wisconsin government photos in the past. I see no thread so I'll answer here. Well, it should be deleted if it's a red link, except in cases of very obvious notability like the Olympian from Mukwonago - that person will definitely eventually get an article by an Olympics fan. A case for notability for this individual could be made, but will that article be made by someone who doesn't have a conflict of interest? I doubt it. I suppose if Rod would make a nice article, free of self-promotion, written in a neutral language, with an encyclopedic tone, and get it to stick for a week, - then fine. It's tough but within the reach of a reputable author like him. I would be willing to help coach with the hope that this individual might go beyond self-promotion and write content about another notable topic not related to himself. I think with time that this individual will see that having a Wikipedia article isn't as great as first imagined. It gives the world a chance to vandalize your biography which wouldn't appeal to me. I noticed that a new user added a redlink for Norm Nelson at List of people from Racine, Wisconsin. After a quick google search, it appears that the guy was an early NASCAR champion from Racine. I was going to correct you and say that he was a USAC Stock Car champ instead of NASCAR, but I see he did win a NASCAR race. USAC Stock Car was a big deal in the 1970s. Those drivers could come into NASCAR and compete for wins. I wrote articles on most of the other USAC champions from the 1970s and at least one was a DYK article. I'll write one for him, so you can leave the link on Racine's article. I didn't know he was a Wisconsinite or I would have done it sooner! The third turn is a NASCAR Wikia and definitely not a reliable source. The guy that founded it and has done much of the work used to help at WikiProject NASCAR. Thank you, I have plenty of solid sources. I usually end up finding the Third Turn's article and finding reliable sources for it. Fyi, USAC is the sanctioning body that sanctioned IndyCar races (like the Indy 500) for many decades. They had stock cars for a long time and their drivers were on par with NASCAR drivers until the mid to late 1970s. You're solidly in my wheelhouse with this topic and I'm very interested to write the article. You need not worry about me needing help to develop it. I'm sure the article should appear on the New Art Bot searchlist for Wisconsin once I add it. I'm sorry, you're not even close to being ready. I say that with all due respect. To be an administrator, you need to wait until others feel you are ready. Are you expected to be very well rounded and need to be able to understand how almost everything works in here - like deletion, policies, guidelines. You are also expected to be versed in creating content at higher levels, including versed in citing sources. A person ready for adminship wouldn't need to ask questions like you did about importance of articles and if something real far away from Good Article status like Jimmie Johnson. I hope that you don't log out and vandalize. That's a good way to guarantee that you'd never become an admin. Please read WP:GA to learn more about Good Articles. It's a way for someone to "certify" that the article is relatively well written using reliable sources. It's not extremely difficult like Featured Articles but it's pretty difficult for an average person to do. Having Good Article status does greatly set it apart from the overwhelming majority of the articles. They are a big deal. I like the article about the La Crosse Speeway. It was well written. There are 2 new articles that came up involving WP-Wisconsin: McFarlandLand atheme park and the Kipp Stoneman Experience. To keep the specific minutia off the project page, I'm replying here. First, you're right about the notes; I'm terrible at it, so I'm going to let it go, & hope somebody who knows what they're doing can fix it. ;p I understand there are issues with retaining the page history, & when I posted that, I wasn't sure enough I could just move with no issues arising; if so, I'll handle it. It's very important for you to do the citations! If you don't, it's impossible for someone else to do it - they don't have page numbers since they don't have the document in the their hand! By not doing it - you prevent it from becoming a Good Article except if they delete the content that you created or have to search hard to find another source. The Winnebago Mental Health Institute has a mail address of 1300 South Drive, Winnebago, Wisconsin. I look at the Oshkosh ward map, The area where the Institute is is part of the city but there are sections that are not annex by the city in the area of Asylum Point. I hope the info about Winnebago, Wisconsin helps especially the zipcode. The problems with these towns and unincorporated communities is that you may have a section of a town along with an unincorporated community in the middle of a city or village that is not annex by the municipality and that gets confusing. Awww, what a nice message! Thank you! I'm doing good - been an average winter here. I heard that parts of PA got lots of snow and fun weather. I caught ice races at 5 tracks this winter; they're now done and temps are rising. I'm doing my best on the racing articles - even adding some. LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway hit DYK and I'm working on what I hope to made a triple DYK set for my 100th DYK. Hopefully enough content on the USAC Stock Cars will let it work. I was inspired by a USAC Stock Car champ (Norm Nelson) from Wisconsin who won a single NASCAR race at Las Vegas Park Speedway's only NASCAR race - now the site of the Las Vegas Hilton.

After this edit (which edit summary may have been ill-advised), Vegavairbob has messaged me suggesting quid quo pro applies, & threatening (if that's not too strong a word) reversion if I don't leave his edits alone. Let me be clear. I don't care a whit who put in the ads, nor if he deleted mine. (I'm used to that...) Neither am I terribly impressed how long they've stayed in. As I told him, I found it resembled a GM puff piece, & prefer it all be integrated; the single section, IMO, attracts too much GM advertising in one place. (I'd also wonder if the ads should be used at all, but...) As for the other content, the quotes added nothing of substance that couldn't have been summarized rather than quoted, if it needed to stay in at all, IMO. I'd add also Vegavairbob has attracted a reputation for apparent ownership of the page in question. Your attention to the matter is requested, before this goes edit war. Housebarn

Thelmadatter's suggestion at t:TDYK#Housebarn is good. In Friesland there are stolp/stelp farmhouses (Square with a pyramidal roof, incorporating house and barn), kop-hals-rompboerderij (house and barn linked by a small narrow annexe), kop-rompboerderij (house and barn directly joined). In Groningen there is the Oldambt farmhouse, which also incorporates a barn, and the Los hoes farmhouse, where the farmer and livestock shared the same space. In Drenthe some farmhouses also incorporated a barn. In Gelderland there is the T-huis, with the farmhouse forming the cross of the T and the barn forming the stem. Stub elimination drive at WP:USRD

The key to my comments on Pzoxicuvybtmrn's talk page was intent. Too many stub articles are created and then left. WP:USRD has a drive this year to halve the number of stubs from 5934 at the start of the year to 2967 at the end of the year. The project is currently at 5618 stubs. It's an ambitious goal, but attainable if new and older articles can be expanded past the stub stage, which as I outlined is easy. That image is copyrighted and cannot be uploaded. Check out the lower right corner - it says "All Rights Reserved". We would have to find an image with Creative Commons before we can upload. The only Creative Commons criteria allowed are only Attribution and ShareAlike - so images with Non Commericial or No Derivatives are not allowed either. You can find out which criteria are used on a Creative Commons image by clicking on the Creative Commons license wording and another window opens telling you which of these 4 criteria are being used. Great questions! I'm excited that you're asking me! The first photo is not suitable for Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia because it used No Derivatives and Non-Commercial - so I'll have to delete it. I don't make the rules. I'm surprised that a bot didn't review - find problems - and get it deleted. On that second image, it can't be uploaded for 2 reasons. First it's Non-Commercial so it can't be uploaded. Second, the photo has a watermark that says that CIAStockPhoto.com took the picture, which means it's a copyright violation. That might not be entirely true since Bristol Motor Speedway might have rights to it. This is a rare instance. When there's a website watermark in the corner, 99% of the time it's some person who uploaded a photo that they stole from some website and uploaded to flickr. Then it couldn't be used. I would assess as C-Class just short of B class. The big problem is the missing inline citations for the content. Lots of sentences without citation. Plus the results tables need sources - you just need to do it on the first line if the entire table comes from a single source. The qualifying results would be helpful - a separate table or add to the results table. The writing is up to B level and not far away from Good Article level! Oh, I get what you were trying to do with the lap by lap reference. You're supposed to do at least one per paragraph, so I added it at the end of each paragraph like I commonly see. Check out the article's history to see how I used a named reference so that I didn't have to repeat the reference each time [3]. You just pick a different name for each reference. That's how you're supposed to do when you use a reference multiple times. You keep adding that the language is English - that information is only used in foreign languages. I reassessed as B class. Let me know if you want to nominate it for Good Article and I'll do a more thorough grammar review. You're in the ballpark for Good Article on this one! Constructive criticism is that the sentences in the race summary are a bit choppy and (especially) monotonous so they should be varied more. I won't nominate it for Good Article - that's up to you as the author. By monotonous, I mean that the prose isn't varied enough. There's a pattern to much of it. By different media outlets - I mean that you should get someone else's interpretation of the race. Find some race reports/descriptions by ESPN, Sporting News, Sports Illustrated, some big newspapers like NY Times/Miami Herald/Charlotte, Yahoo Sports, etc. and see what they emphasize. It's good that you added more inline citations to the article. Keep going in that direction. Having a single source for an entire paragraph, especially paragraph after paragraph, is very bad. Read these articles and use them to expand existing content and fill out the article better. Another think that I like to have is 1 or 2 quotes from a major reputable source like these to describe the key events. Right now you took the lap summary and wrote it out in words. While that's okay for an average article - you are going for high end. Good Articles take A LOT more work and the end result shows. I've spent weeks of weeknights on each of my Good Articles. The summary articles should be used to fill out the key events. Another key thing is to clean up the grammar. I see numerous grammar (especially missing commas) problems. Once you're done with all of this and you think the article is A-1 perfect, then have some friends who are really good at grammar look it over. Real life friends and/or family are real good if they're willing. It's best to have a mix of people who like and don't understand the sport. The ones that don't understand will question you about terms that you and I will easily understand but need better explanation. A real good person to review this would be your English teacher (I assume that you're a student in high school) - and I bet they would be delighted to see that their student is taking an interest in something like this. My sister is a music teacher and I know she'd be very happy to help someone who was doing something like this in music. I can be one of these "peer reviewers". I have another Wikipedia friend who's an admin that I helped show how to do a good article. While he's been too busy in real life to help here, he does check from time to time. I'd probably be able to convince him to take a look after the comma and prose issues are improved. When I do a Good Article, I just keep reading the article over and over (maybe 5 times) until I'm satisfied that there are no problems. GT1 at Road America

I kinda knew what Happy Hour is. I'm old school - I knew what it was before it got named - I go back to Bobby Allison's heyday in the 1980s to 1990s. That's why I usually work on older articles. Unfortunately I'm not into today's NASCAR as much with all of the politically correctness and perfectly manicured racing surfaces. I miss the Darlington of old where the tires went away after 10 laps. Sounds good. I'm a big road course and short track fan - looking forward to catching the Nationwide cars in person at Road America! About the naming trick: I was talking about how you can create a reference once for a source and then keep reusing it by adding to the <ref> with name="UniqueName". You define it once (doesn't have to be first) by doing the whole ref like usual. After that you just type in <ref name="UniqueName" />. You need to use a different set of letters/numbers for each reference and you add it where the "word" UniqueName is. I didn't explain everything, you should read about it here. Thanks! It was a great day, I got to learn how to use a GPS which helped immensely, and I was fortunate to find everything! I've tried many other counties just to find that 1 or 2 were demolished, that the description was too vague, or that the addressing system had changed. I was lucky to find the 2 images in Greenville considering their addressing had changed. Fortunately there was a real faint paint traces for the former state bank and I could figure out a hotel/saloon a few houses away. It felt good to succeed after numerous close calls. I hope that you have a camera and are willing to allow a few photos to be used here. They add a lot to the race report. Absolutely, showing what the cars and tracks look like is critical. I've uploaded hundreds of pictures, maybe thousands, going back into at least the 1970s - most are ones that others took and posted on Flickr. Please upload to Commons so that the other Wikipedias can use them - they certainly have been using them especially the German Wikipedia. There are categories for NASCAR cars and NASCAR circuits, so please add them there. Commons image help

I've encountered an unusual situation about which I'd appreciate help. User:Bluedisk uploaded some images to en:wp in 2008 under cc-by-sa-3.0 and the GFDL, and s/he has recently decided to revoke those licenses (example). Because at least the CC can't be revoked, I've declined the speedies and left a notice at his/her talk. I'd like to move these images to Commons; however, at least one of them is at Flickr — it's obviously copied from the Commons image, since the Flickr image was uploaded in 2010 and the image here was uploaded in 2008. Since moving the image to Commons would hide the fact that the image was uploaded here before it was on Flickr, is there anything to could be added to the image description once it's on Commons that would be sufficient to prevent it from deletion as a copyvio? I tested on this image by uploading it to Commons to make sure that I was right. The CommonsHelper tool on the media transfer automatically inserts the date of the original upload. So there shouldn't be an issue. Even if there were, Commons could have an admin on the English Wikipedia verify the original upload date on a deleted image. So please move them to Commons at will! I like how the CommonsHelper tool has a link for admins on the English Wikipedia like us so that we can delete the original image right away - makes it very slick. You need to use add a checkmark to the option "Directly upload file (using commons user name 'File Upload Bot (Magnus Manske)')" in the TUSC section. The bot will make the move, which you need to check and fix the categories. I always "Edit the description page". At the bottom you can Add {{NowCommons}} or do what I was suggesting - "delete the original image straight away." I did the first one on this list to test the example. Poland, Wisconsin

I made changes to the town of Eaton, Brown County and the Brown County articles concerning the unincorporated community of Poland when you start the article. The redlines jst have to turn blue. Poland, Wisconsin and ufo landing pad

Some man in Poland, Wisconsin built a UFO landing pad. This is in the Roadside America website. I will leave it up to you about adding this to the Poland, Wisconsin article. I found a citation for Hollandtown, Wisconsin in Brown County but it is under the name of Holland. This is also the same in the DeLorme atlas. However, it is the same community. I first wondered why you asked about this one in particular until I looked up where it's at. I don't think I've ever been there. Some day I'll work on photographing Winnebago County Registered Historic Places (maybe after racing season in fall?) and I'll go to Butte des Mortes - that would be a great combination to photograph. Thanks for the compliment! Mail jumping did work out well. There's lots of interest in the topic by national media since it is so unusual. I do still remember telling you that I'll photograph that shrine, good idea to put out the photograph request. I told my family about the shrine and we're all interested. So hopefully the next time that we go to Door County we'll catch it while going through Green Bay. I'd like to pick cherries in August, talk about fond memories! Bishop Ricken sure is the best bishop compared to the last many nationally-known ones that have come through Green Bay on their way to becoming archbishops/cardinals. He's really working to keep parishes open instead of closing everything and throwing communities into chaos like what happened with my original home parish. PLEASE - start a new thread instead of making dig back in the archives. You keep adding new topics to an old topic. It will make archiving much harder and I hate having to scroll back through to try to find some old section. So I moved it to its own section. I've known about assessment for years, I rarely assess. Others used to do it, I've always rather spend time improve an article instead of spending time with assessment. Right now I'm looking through all of the images that I got today at the Road America Nationwide race. I had a great time, interesting race. Like the MRN announcers said, the fans were either NASCAR fans or fans of the track. I'm both! I used the telephoto on my camera & got decent shots of most drivers. Fitzpatrick and many others. I've always been a huge fan of the road courses. I like watching the drivers be required to not just turn left all day. That's why anything Featured is held in such high regard - it's a LOT of work just to do one article! It needs to be so complete that no one should be able to ask "Why didn't this article talk about... (insert a major situation about a topic)?" You've been having an easy time making Good Articles compared to anyone else that I know. NASCAR race reports are a fairly limited topic. I think that you shouldn't give up so easy. I think it can be done. I heard of both of these owners and writing a stub shouldn't be a big deal since there should be ample sources. If you're not on a fast track, I would like to write articles on these two people in the next few weeks. I probably have pictures of their cars; I remember one for Krauskopf - I think I took it with the K&K Insurance sponsorship. Royalbroil 04:28, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

I have a great photo of a course worker displaying the blue flag. I've never seen that flag before on TV, only a blue flag with a diagonal strip of yellow, orange, or red which means that the lap cars should move out of the way of the leaders. Any idea what it means in NASCAR? Other images that turned out well from show cars in the spectator area include Kasey Kahne's splitter (red car with white splitter from both the front view and side view) and a roof flag. Why I said that was because if its not even close to featured list status then this should be delisted because thats the list I used to help me. About the flag it means a faster car is approaching per Racing flags. I am happy that you have good pictures. NASCAR is very hard to look for references where most of the technology wasn't created in the late 40s, 50's or 60s. I hope that you don't mind waiting until next week for the article review because I have little time this week. I had off on Monday and I'm leaving Thursday night right after work for a weekend getaway. My main internet goal this week is getting all of my racing pictures on my flickr account which is a major task considering all of the NASCAR pictures I got at Saturday's Nationwide race. I have great pictures of all 43 cars and almost every driver during the parade laps. As for the Formula One driver's article: that shows you what it took to get a featured list when I started in 2005. That article would get laughed out of town now. It should get a featured list reassessment. If you're going to do that, please be nice at bring up the problem at WikiProject Formula One. I bet they'll take care of it because that WikiProject is the only real active motorsports WikiProject besides WikiProject Motorsport. Thank you, a few of my images have been professionally used. I got a GREAT story on this topic that I'd like to share with you sometime. Do you have email enable so I can send it? I wasn't trying hard to get great driver images or else I would have walked to the edge of the track instead of sitting in my seat. I have a great camera - so I used the telephoto lens in sport mode and held down the shoot button (it repetitively shoots about 2-3 pictures per second). The sentence you pointed out needs to be reworded some how because Spped and Mears were team mates and Ekstrom was Mears replacement for Sonomo only then Reed Sorenson will replace him afterwards. The article flow is overall better but there are definitely some issues (I pointed out some). So did Mears lose his ride? If so, you might want to say that the team used Ekstrom as a fill-in driver while changing drivers. It also should be said when the accident happened (I think it was the week before). Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired =WCBVI

In my browsing and wanderings through WP-Wisconsin I came across an article on the Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Would you please take a look at it-the article has possibilities-I do believe some of the buildings are on the NRHP register. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well after your surgery and I pray for your recovery. I'm on vacation today and Friday. I had a great weekend. I watch Matt Kenseth's son Ross Kenseth race at Wisconsin International Raceway on Thursday, caught the Nationwide Series race on Saturday at Road America, and went to Slinger Speedway on Sunday night. All three were very memorable. This Thursday night I'm going to my uncle's cabin in northern Wisconsin for a weekend getaway. I hope some sightseeing in Escanaba, Michigan with my family next Friday and races at Norway Speedway that night if the weather is good. I have lots of pictures to upload from the NASCAR race of both the drivers and the cars. I'm not seeing an obvious connection to the National Register in a quick check of National Register of Historic Places listings in Rock County, Wisconsin. I didn't realize you had written Jared Siefert. I was in the process of going through Category:American racecar drivers and either cleaning up or AFDing the worst I find there. I nominated the article because I don't feel that IMCA Modified is a fully professional series and therefore drivers who have only competed in the series may not meet WP:ATHLETE. I guess you choose your battles. There was no mention of fully professional in ATHLETE until it was just rewritten and I find requiring a driver to be fully professional to be lacking in some cases when GNC is easily met with someone who accomplished a national championship. That WP:ATHLETE discussion isn't even completed and there is significant opposition. I'm glad you found some of the worse cases because I never understood why some articles were created. I tried changing the title to Somerset High School but this refused to make the change. Article of the month – 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350, new Good Article. The 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on June 20, 2010 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Contested over 110 laps, it was the sixteenth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season and the first of two road course competitions on the schedule. The race was won by Jimmie Johnson, for the Hendrick Motorsports team. Robby Gordon finished second, and Kevin Harvick, who started fourth, clinched third. Conditions were sunny at the start of the race, making the track potentially slippery. Pole position driver Kasey Kahne maintained his lead into the first corner, but Johnson, who had started in the second position on the grid, took the lead before the first lap was over. Kahne suffered an ill-handling car during the beginning of the race, causing him to fall to seventh by the sixth lap. Seven laps before the finish, race leader Marcos Ambrose, turned his car off to try to save fuel, but he could not refire the engine and subsequently stalled. He dropped back from the lead to sixth place with seven laps remaining, allowing Kahne to finish fourth and Jeff Gordon fifth. There were eight cautions and twelve lead changes among eight different drivers throughout the course of the race, Johnson's fourth win of the season and his first ever at Infineon. The result moved him up four spots to second in the Drivers' Championship, 140 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and one ahead of Kyle Busch. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, nine points ahead of Toyota and forty-three ahead of Dodge, with twenty races remaining in the season. (More...)
