Jeremiah Red moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Jeremiah Red, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Moving Jeremiah Red to Mainspace

[edit]

Hello Runawaytonight,

Thanks for creating the article on Jeremiah Red unfortunately the sources you provided are not enough to have the article published on Wikipedia and that is why i moved it to draftspace so you can develop it gradually as a professional courtesy. I would suggest you do not move the article back to mainspace and edit it in draft until it is accepted by an WP:AFC Reviewer, if you continue to move or disrupt Wikipedia you maybe blocked from editing. Note about PAID

[edit]

Just a note that your disclosure doesn't have the required information. Specifically: You must also provide links on their Wikipedia user page to all active accounts at websites where they advertise paid Wikipedia-editing services. If an advertisement is removed, any corresponding links on the Wikipedia user page must remain visible for at least one week. You can read more here. [edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hello, I'm confused as to why I am blocked if the reasoning is due to undisclosed payments. The page in question, Claude Vonstroke, was edited in september and before i made edits, I updated the talk page to say that i was hired by his mgmt to update his wiki. it also states on my profile that brands hire me to edit wikipedia. i have not advertised anything to my knowledge. This has to be a mix up for being an independent contractor. I do NOT work as a staff member for any of these artists. I am simply a contractor. My job is done after wikis are made

Also, I requested to have my username changed this summer to include my first name. This request was denied by wiki. Thus, using my username as another reason to block my account is shortsighted, considering I had made the steps to change my username but it was not approved. I have a project that just started and I need to continue working. Please undo this block and let me know how else to disclose my payments if putting so on talk pages isn't allowed

Decline reason:

We don't want your ghostwritten vanity pages contaminating our volunteer curated encyclopedia. MER-C 08:34, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm going to leave it to someone else to review this request (which won't go far unless you request a change of username to one that is acceptable). I'll just make a few observations:

I'm not opposed to changing my username nor am I opposed to making changes about disclosing payments. This situation started when I asked how to do so and while in the middle of talking with one person, another responded, and then another my blocked my account. If you can see the discourse between the reviewers, you can see my attempts trying to narrow down what else I needed to do. This also points to the changes I made today.

Regarding the latter two pages, Moshe was deleted and fanciulli is still in draft. Jeremiah red was a page started and moved today. When I changed the page name, wiki listed the entry twice. The correct one is still in draft and the other was marked for speedy deletions.

I feel like this is all a huuuge misunderstanding and still able to be fixed without the need for a block of the account

Regarding the attempt to change my name, On September 3, 2019 I have an email from Meta wiki@wikipedia.org that says

"The request to rename "Runawaytonight" to "Brittanyatrunawaytonight" could not be completed.

The reason provided was: "Hello, The selected username is also illegal.".

For more information, please visit this help page: <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Unified_login#Frequently_asked_questions>. To discuss your rename request, you can post on this page: <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Steward_requests/Username_changes>. You must still log in to your current account name first."

I'm fine with changing to my name brittanygaston Runawaytonight (talk) 22:59, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please look at the talk page for Jeremiah Red that is marked for deletion. There, they have all outlined what happened while I've been blocked Runawaytonight (talk) 23:14, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jeremiah Red, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
