January 2019[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Emiliano Sala, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Egghead06 (talk) 17:46, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-added what I have previously written but added a reference from a reliable source to support it S2sufc (talk) 18:21, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2019[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at 2019 Piper PA-46 Malibu disappearance, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. More precisely your additon (diff) used a 1941 article to support what was posted on facebok. That is WP:SNEAKY, not tolerated. However, I give you the benefit of doubt - perhaps you just wanted to explain ILS or confused some links. Please be more careful while editing. Thank you, WikiHannibal (talk) 17:10, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My intention was certainly not to vandalise, I was unaware that this type of citation was not allowed. I will be more careful in the future when contributing to wiki articles. S2sufc (talk) 20:38, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sheffield United F.C., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Forward (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Nathan Thomas (footballer). This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:54, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

August 2019[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Oliver McBurnie, you may be blocked from editing. GiantSnowman 11:43, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst I did edit the Oliver McBurnie page, I had no intention of vandalism and did (in my opinion) add helpful information. I have since seen your message and looked back at the edits I made and am confused as to what has happened as I certainly did not make those edits. If you look at my past editing history you will notice this is unusual editing behaviour as I have never intentionally vandalised anything and I hope you will see that this truly is not my fault. Thank you. S2sufc (talk) 12:51, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Draft:The Infinity Saga. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. Also, when copying from one Wikipedia article to another, please be sure to copy over the related citations as well. Right now you've got several hundred broken citations at the bottom of your draft. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:20, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request[edit]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Agilitystars". The reason given for Agilitystars's block is: "uw-spamublock <!-- Promotional username, promotional edits -->".

Decline reason:  Confirmed sockpuppetry, and mostly spam from this account, too. I'll go block this account indefinitely. Yamla (talk) 22:02, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.
Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: Your reason here ~~~~. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public. You may instead email the Arbitration Committee at arbcom-en@wikimedia.org with your username and appeal.

Administrators: CheckUsers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. Therefore, a Checkuser must be consulted before this block can be removed. Administrators undoing checkuser blocks without permission or the prior approval from a checkuser risk having their administrator rights removed by the Arbitration Committee (per this announcement).

Unblock Appeal[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have had this account for 3 years and have had zero problems with my conduct until I created a second account. I created the account so that I could edit/create articles specifically about dog agility using that account, and all other edits/articles could be made on this. I don’t see where in the policy, which I’ve read several times, where this is wrong. I don’t understand why a block is necessary, especially with absolutely no warnings, when the edits/contributions I have made are constructive and clearly are not self promoting when they are about a wide range of topics. What am I supposed to be promoting? Please, seriously tell me because I have no clue. I have been told most of my edits using this account are spam- which edits? Genuinely I would like to know because I’m struggling to understand why I’m being penalised for trying to helpfully contribute and I don’t know why my edits are continually marked as spam? If you are going to block me at least help me to understand where I’ve gone wrong, specifically with examples.

Decline reason:

"I created the account so that I could edit/create articles specifically about dog agility using that account, and all other edits/articles could be made on this. I don’t see where in the policy, which I’ve read several times, where this is wrong." How about right there in bold text at the top of WP:SOCK: " The general rule is one editor, one account." I grant that your intent was to use the other account for benign purposes, but no one else here feels the need to have separate accounts for separate topic areas: I'm the same Daniel Case whether I edit about architecture, movies and filmmaking topics, landforms in the area I live in, legal concepts and court rulings, or unresolved deaths, killings and disappearances. In fact what you seem to be imploring us to allow you to have is a role account, which we also generally frown on. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:31, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I accept and appreciate the feedback that has been given with regards to my behaviour on Wikipedia. I sincerely did not understand what I had done wrong, but I am now aware that I should not have created a second account regardless of my intentions. I would like to assure you that I will not be creating any more accounts, therefore I would greatly appreciate if my access to editing could please be restored. I am unaware of any actions that I am able to take in order to demonstrate my willingness to comply with Wikipedia policy other than to offer a written acceptance, however if there is anything I am more than happy to do so. Notice

The article List of United Kingdom dog agility champions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NLIST; "United Kingdom dog agility champions" has not been discussed as a group by multiple independent RS.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 16:13, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
