Stop icon This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at Talk:Antifa (United States), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Last chance EvergreenFir (talk) 03:37, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I never made personal attacks on any editor. You are mistaken. SJMccarthy (talk) 03:45, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This issue was resolved. The silly pants that posted this didn't realize that they were actually trying to post this on another, more questionable editor's talk page. What a goof! I'll allow this to stay here just for the chuckles because, by golly, it's just a kettle of laughs. SJMccarthy (talk) 11:40, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  EvergreenFir (talk) 11:59, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What? Why? SJMccarthy (talk) 12:05, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

never broke a rule at all and was blocked for seemingly no reason

Decline reason:

This was a personal attack, which you need to accept in order to edit on this site. PhilKnight (talk) 12:42, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

But that's not why I was blocked. What's going on here??SJMccarthy (talk) 12:49, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that I've been civil and cordial this entire time and haven't broken any rules at all. SJMccarthy (talk) 12:14, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Amazing. You made it clear that you thought the discretionary sanctions alert was stupid and edited disruptively. Maybe if you agree to a topic ban from American politics an Admin might unblock you, but I suspect your behavior would just continue elsewhere. Especially as you deny having done anything wrong.Doug Weller talk 12:16, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't edit disruptively, and was only ever civil. I mean, it's clear that some editors don't want me here but I'm only here to make the project better. I'm sorry if you're upset by that. SJMccarthy (talk) 12:21, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Weird admins

[edit]

There's some real odd administration happening here. I know that most of the admins are cool and decent people, but wow, banning a girl for literally nothing? Watch this space! ^_^ SJMccarthy (talk) 12:34, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

no rules broken, unclear why I was blocked. Indef block clearly overkill. So many reasons why this was uncalled for.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Refusal to acknowledge any misconduct on your part, which included a personal attack, or that there is any reason for you to conduct yourself differently, makes this an unsatisfactory unblock request. @Acroterion:, I edit conflicted with your decline. Mine was: "Obvious trolling. Talk page access revoked per WP:DNFTT".-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:09, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that the overall tone of this editor's talkpage contributions is consistent with trolling, as is the unblock request and the section immediately above. I'm not ready to remove talkpage access, but any further discussion by this editor must be constructive, and drop the condescending attitude. Acroterion (talk) 16:14, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I already removed talk page access before you posted your decline. Their entire editing history from edit 1 has been trolling. There's no need to eat up more admin time to entertain them further. WP:UTRS is available for appeals.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:18, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. Acroterion (talk) 16:19, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
