re:us-bcast-stub on sfd

Erm... you do realise it's only the redirect that's being discussed for deletion, don't you? The actual template ({{US-bcast-stub}}) isn't in any danger, only the miscapitalised redirect {{us-bcast-stub}}. Grutness...wha? 23:56, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi TrackerTV. I've noticed you have moved the Modd Squad (SimCity 4) article to Modd Squad and created a disambiguation page (Modd Squad (disambiguation)) that features a single link to the topic.

I have decided to revert the locations of the Modd Squad article and redirect the recently created articles back to the original SimCity Modd Squad article, for now, under grounds of the following reasons.

The creation of a disambiguation page is not advisable when there is no other notable article that bears a similar name at present. In addition, the SimCity 4 Modd Squad is not considered a primary topic due to the limited notability in the SimCity 4 community, and thus does not suite using a primary title (refering to Modd Squad, not Modd Squad (SimCity 4). Primary titles are usually reserved for generally known topics; otherwise, primary titled articles may be turned into a disambiguation page instead.

It would usually be advisable to wait until there are at least two articles of similar names, before going ahead to create a disambiguation page.

Thanks in advance, and happy editing! ╫ 25 ring-a-ding 06:59, 27 December 2005 (UTC) ╫

Just for the record, Wikipedia policy specifically requires that articles on television stations be titled with the legal, government-issued call sign. We do not use the brand name, because for one thing, brand names change, and for two they're often not unique. The article accordingly has to be at KAZT-TV. (And if a station has more than one transmitter, we use the callsign of whichever one is legally considered the primary signal.)

If you don't like it, take it up as a policy discussion and try to change people's minds — we can discuss policy that we disagree with on Wikipedia, but we don't simply ignore it. Bearcat 19:47, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

Your userpage was briefly delisted by a rogue admin

This user believes that only articles need reflect a NPOV, and that displaying political, religious, or other beliefs using userboxes and user categories should not be banned.

You have a userbox Template:User UN which links your userpage to United Nations Wikipedians. There is currently a movement to ban userboxes from Wikipedia which are shared and which create List of Wikipedians. Certain admins have taken it upon themselves to preemptively sabotage and/or delete such categories and template. Here is the incident report which reported damage to yours, in which hundreds of userpages were delinked from categories without the users' knowledge. They have been stopped, barely, and the damage reverted— for now.

There is a Wikipedia:Userbox policy poll, which if passed, will make required by policy the damage done to categories and templates such as User UN/United Nations Wikipedians. If you do not want this to happen, I urge you to vote Oppose. in the poll. Support is currently running at about 66%, and your vote could make the difference. It is said to require 75%-80% to be deemed reflective of consensus.

Thank you,

Southern Greenlee County OTA Cable Stations

By "split them off", are you thinking of a separate template, or completely de-listing them altogether? (BTW, I just put a talk page on the Other Arizona Stations template.)

WKTC

Thanks for getting on it, I thought the State article could've cleared up that the K meant something too, but I thought it was verifiable enough to use as a source for the CL's. Nate 04:04, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

American Dragon: Jake Long

First, thanks for the compliment on my page. Now, Something Fishy This Way comes wasn't the season finale. There is still more episodes to come, and in fact, Breakout airs this Saturday (or you can watch it on DisneyChannel.com on the videos page). The season finale won't come until March or April 2007. I too hope they don't change the animation again. TrackFan 13:44, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

The reason behind the two-week gap is because of the premiere of Read It and Weep. TrackFan 01:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I agree. I remember when you could only watch AD:JL on Saturdays or after a movie. Hopefully, along with the new season of Kim Possible, they'll both be given more air time. By the way, I own an AD:JL club on deviantArt. If you're on dA, would you care to join? TrackFan 01:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Look, I'm not going to move the club just so you can join. I just wanted to know if you wanted to join the club and it's just led into this. Just forget I even mentioned joining dA and the American Dragon: Jake Long club on there. TrackFan 03:24, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

I'll think about it. CoolKatt number 99999 02:51, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Could you delete it? It's been AfDed... -TrackerTV 00:37, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi TrackerTV, AFDs close automatically after 5 days; no need to ask before then (see WP:AFD#What_to_do_after_an_AfD_discussion_has_passed_with_a_confirmation.3F). Quarl (talk) 2006-07-26 04:15Z

Template:NXST TV

Just curious what the issue that arose was with the template and the redlink template...any objection to me just getting rid of the redlinks? I thought it might be less controversial to use the redlink template than to actually just get rid of the redlinks with no discussion, but I guess I should "be bold". --Thanatosil 04:07, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

WP:BOLD is the right thing to do, but I saw the template on WFXW because of it being on the template. -TrackerTV 18:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Arizona

Hey Tracker! I didn't realize you were also from Arizona. I guess that means there's (at least) three of us on WP:TV stations from AZ. Pretty cool. :) Happy editing! --Firsfron of Ronchester 05:43, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Could you delete it? Congratulations on being an admin! -TrackerTV 00:17, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

User:King of Hearts just beat me to it. It's now been deleted. Thanks for the message, and the RfA vote. If there's anything I can do, let me know.--Firsfron of Ronchester 00:43, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you also, sir, for the Barnstar. Just doin' what I can to make sure Arizona is properly documented. Wikilinks is the one area where I want to be sure that Arizona is a "blue state"! --dhett 06:58, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
