Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming articles is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. All-caps article titles

[edit]

Hi. Since you seem to insist on editing PODHIGAI TV NEWS instead of Podhigai TV News, may I suggest that, since the former is an acronym (as evidenced by the all-capitals title), the introduction should tell what each and every individual letter stands for. Thank you. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 13:39, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sathishgobi, I have corrected this error in one of two articles. Please do not change back and adjust the other article, even if all-caps is the preferred by the tv station. Each organization (tv, wiki) is entitled to its own style. gidonb (talk) 02:37, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Podhigai TV News a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Note that you were previously advised not to do this. Please do not do this again. Whpq (talk) 13:11, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Podhigai TV has been reverted, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sathishgobi.
