Speedy deletion nomination of VannDa[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on VannDa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Khmer names and Khmer romanization[edit]

Suostei! I just tidied up the article about the Cambodian cuisine, but unfortunately, I'm no speaker of Khmer. I did my best to fix discrepancies and add Khmer names and Khmer romanization for as many things as I could, but I've got no way of knowing for sure, except by asking a native speaker. I also tried using the UNGEGN system you previously recommended, but it's tricky with Khmer characters. Could you help me out and go over the article? Riel sign[edit]

The formal Unicode Consortium name of the symbol is U+17DB KHMER CURRENCY SYMBOL RIEL, so that is what goes in the "Unicode" column of table at Currency symbol. You are wasting your time trying to change it to something else because another editor will revert to the the correct version every time you do. The only thing I can suggest is that you draft an article (called Riel sign?) and request that it be accepted. Indian rupee sign or Russian ruble sign are good examples to copy. But maybe it would be best to ask for advice at the WP:Teahouse first. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:01, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bong,

Lack of nomination in 2015[edit]

Good morning. You should check the official list of nominee for GOM in 2015. At that period a lot of medical Doctor became GOM, I did not see their names in your Wikipedia list. There are a lack of names. 2A04:CEC0:10D8:73D3:A1E5:4FAE:8BC2:B358 (talk) 19:49, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Norodom Sihanouk does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 20:34, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Meeting in Phnom Penh[edit]

Hey User:Sggt76 KH! I see we are both interested in Khmer topics. I am currently trying to expand or create one page a day. I would love to discuss with you about the Cambodian projects on Wikipedia both in English and in Khmer. Willuconquer (talk) 09:28, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chan Sarapich, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sihanoukville. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:05, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 19:14, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

March 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Khmer Republic. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 02:18, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

The name "Kampuchea" is not an English name, it is translated from native directly to be "Cambodia", so as such, the name should not be reinstated. And some of the transcripts are incorrect. Please discuss with me in this talk page if we have any question, I'm here to talk and cooperate with you. Mnnie053 (talk) 06:57, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

May 2023[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Lieutenant general shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in being blocked from editing—especially as the page in question is currently under restrictions from the Arbitration Committee, if you violate the one-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than one revert on a single page with active Arbitration Committee restrictions within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the one-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the one-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
