Answering help request

Hi Shivanshpatel312, I saw your help request on my talk page. You can access your sandbox by clicking the "sandbox" hyperlink at the top of the page. There is also a link from your user page. While in your sandbox (User:Shivanshpatel312/sandbox), click the "edit" button at the top of the page. In "edit" mode, click anywhere on the page, then start typing! I left a short note in your sandbox to show how this is done. For more information about how to use the Visual Editor interface, please see this training. Peer Review

I am basing this review off your sandbox article contribution, your most recent contribution is just a copy of the original article. I think your article is well-formatted and has numerous supporting details for each topic. I believe everything in the article is relevant to the main topic. Checking the links they all seem to work fine and citing of the books I believe seems to be to date. Overall I think the work you have done is well-structured and well organized.

Speedy deletion nomination of Concept cars and its future aspects

A tag has been placed on Concept cars and its future aspects requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. Plagiarism and copyright

Hello, I received a notification that you had posted material that closely paraphrased or took material verbatim from content that had previously been published elsewhere to your article. This is seen as a copyright issue and plagiarism, even if you were to include the original source as a citation. Always be careful when writing article content - a good way to avoid doing this is to take notes while reading and write your article from those notes.

Unless the material is explicitly marked as falling into the public domain or was released under a compatible Creative Commons license, it should be assumed that the content is copyrighted in a way that would prohibit it from being used verbatim elsewhere. It's always best to write things in your own words, as this can help prevent issues like this from arising. I would like for you to review the module on plagiarism and copyright, thanks. • On my talk page you asked for the restoration of the article and the sandbox content into your sandbox. Since the material was taken verbatim from the source I cannot restore the content to your userspace, as this would still pose an issue with copyright, as the content you copied was held under a very restrictive copyright that would prohibit us copying it to Wikipedia. Essentially, even if we were to attribute it to the person/source, the copyright holder has released it under a copyright (All rights reserved) that forbids the following:

• It cannot be copied without the express permission of the copyright holder. You cannot share it with other people, in other words.
• The content cannot be re-worked or adapted into a new format. (IE, we cannot take passages from the work and adapt them into a new work, which is a necessity for Wikipedia.)
• The content cannot be used commercially without their consent.

Wikipedia uses a copyright that allows for content to be adapted and shared, as well as sold commercially, so anything held under the "all rights reserved" type of restrictive copyright cannot be copied verbatim to Wikipedia. Fair use only covers short quotes and even then, there has to be context to show where it's important to use the quote verbatim (instead of re-writing the content in our own words) and the quote has to be clearly marked via quotation marks and attributed.

Now part of the issue with using content verbatim even if they are held under a compatible copyright like CC-BY, public domain, or CC-BY-SA is that in most cases the author uses a writing style that doesn't fit with Wikipedia's more formal writing. The author's writing may be too casual, use slang, or even be written to promote a specific person, place, concept, or thing, making it necessary for the material to be re-written even if it is under a compatible copyright.

Concept cars article

Hello, Shivanshpatel312,

You posted a request on my user talk page about getting your article restored and I have tracked down the information. I apologize for the delay.

On October 25th, you moved content from User:Shivanshpatel312/sandbox to Concept cars and its future aspects leaving behind a redirect, a page that directs editors and readers from your sandbox to the new page with a link. On October 26th, admin RHaworth deleted the concept cars article for reasons of G12, Unambiguous copyright infringement of https://www.historicvehicle.org/historic-concept-cars-part-i-yesteryears-cars-of-tomorrow/. After this page was deleted, the redirect on your sandbox was "broken" because the article no longer existed and on October 27th, I deleted the broken redirect. I did not delete the article, just the broken redirect.

Ordinarily, in these types of situations, you would go to the admin who deleted the article, RHaworth, and argue that your page should be restored. But in the case of copyright infringement, we can not restore the page or even place the content back in your sandbox because it is not legal to use content directly from other sources (as noted in the message above mine). All content on Wikipedia has to be original, written by editors, not taken or borrowed from other sources and if you refer to other sources, they must be correctly cited/referenced.
