DYK Check

Hi there. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out with your DYK Check tool. I posted on the DYK Check's talk page a while back and never heard from anyone, so I hope you don't mind if I post here. I complied with the instructions, or at least I attempted to. When I tried to create "skin.js" I was redirected to "monobook.js" and I put the script there. But it doesn't seem to be working for me. I can't find the tool. I would be so, so very grateful if you could take a moment to address my issue here, as I'd like to get started reviewing DYKs. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Thanks very much! For the record, this was resolved as indicated here. Shubinator (talk) 15:11, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Yes it was. Not sure what happened, but DYKCheck magically appeared under "tools" one fine day. How about that. Coretheapple (talk) 18:58, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

08:25 10 April 2014 update by DYKUpdateBot

FYI,

DYKUpdateBot failed to perform the update scheduled to occur at 08:25 10 April 2014 (UTC). A manual update has been performed. DYKHousekeepingBot may also be experiencing problems as the last update to Wikipedia:Did you know/DYK hook count was performed by an IP. If memory serves, there is a good chance that DYKUpdateBot will recover and perform the next update. DYKHousekeepingBot seems to have experienced some kind of connectivity issue and will probably need to be restarted. --Allen3 talk 11:03, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

I wonder if it got logged out because of the Heartbleed token change? Either way, it is still down. Sven Manguard Wha? 04:57, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
The timing is wrong to blame this on Heartbleed. The token change took place on April 8 ([1]), more than a day before DYKHousekeepingBot began to show problems. This looks like a plain old connectivity issue, the type that has happens once every month or three. --Allen3 talk 13:46, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
  • Another diagnostic data point for DYKHousekeepingBot. I performed a manual update to Wikipedia:Did you know/DYK hook count. Two minutes later, the update is reverted with an IP restoring the previous version of the page.[2] This suggests that DYKHousekeepingBot is still operating at some level and using an outdated input source to calculate the list of outstanding DYK hooks. --Allen3 talk 22:17, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Toolserver reboot on April 28

The toolservers underwent O/S maintenance starting at 22:00, 28 April 2014 (UTC).[3] As this maintenance included a reboot, please restart both DYKUpdateBot and DYKHousekeepingBot when you get a chance. --Allen3 talk 00:22, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Done, thanks for the reminder. I have to take off, otherwise I'd also take a crack at the queues. Shubinator (talk) 15:46, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
