Hi Siegfried. I just noticed that you've worked on articles about quite a few of the people in the newly mass-uploaded commons:Category:Photographs_by_Sam_Hood. It might be worth taking a look to see if there's anything interesting for your articles, and if you have any interest in categorization on Commons, your expertise would also be much appreciated. --99of9 (talk) 23:56, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for creating List of mayors of Woollahra.

Good work with the list and the references. You may want to reformat the list and add data to few incomplete cells, to match it with other similar lists, but good work overall.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Kavyansh.Singh}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

Ambassadors and High Commissioners[edit]

Hi there, generally speaking, I think we're trying to make these articles better and I'm trying to work in a constructive way. As I know that you are, too. It's rather futile to seek consensus on each article page. However, I do seriously take you point that sometimes confusion can arise due to the change in titles and/or residency, especially where there is no logical flow. Thank you so much for using the basis of my edits to provide constructive editing, instead of simply reverting. Let's continue to work that way and find a 'middle path' that works best for readers. Seasons greetings. Cheers. Rangasyd (talk) 04:25, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Rangasyd: While I appreciate your attempts to make these articles "clearer", they are not all the same and each one requires a particular approach based on its respective history and development. As such I disagree that its futile to seek consensus. While some of these diplomatic articles are crying out for updates and expansion, others have been appropriately edited and expanded by myself and others, and you need to seek consensus when there is disagreement on the major changes you wish to make. If I revert something, its because your edit requires much more than a simple edit to resolve the issue, and as such requires some discussion or further review to reach an appropriate solution. I don't necessarily agree with the approach of "one table fits all" on a lot of these edits: while it works for some articles, it doesn't for others. Going forward, I will try to edit where possible, but revert if needed to seek a solution. Cheers.Siegfried Nugent (talk) 08:06, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Hay War Memorial High School[edit]

On 21 November 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hay War Memorial High School, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Lord Stonehaven, Governor-General of Australia, called Hay War Memorial High School the "finest war memorial in the British Empire"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hay War Memorial High School. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Hay War Memorial High School), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

John Beveridge (mayor)[edit]

Hey Siegfried,

Had a quick question on John Beveridge (mayor). Was this something you saw in person or online? I'm not familiar with Papers Past. If it was online, can you add a URL? If not, would you like me to remove the access date?

"Obituary - Mr Percy Beveridge - Interest in Public Affairs". Hauraki Plains Gazette. 13 August 1947. p. 9 – via Papers Past (National Library of New Zealand).

Thanks! Snowman304|talk 04:27, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Snowman304 Oops, looks like I left off the URL from the reference. I have fixed it now. Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate your consultative approach. Cheers! Siegfried Nugent (talk) 05:20, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Assume good faith and all that stuff. I wasn't about to fly to New Zealand and track it down myself. Snowman304|talk 05:25, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
