Anduril image[edit]

I uploaded that image at the request of Dereckson, who is going to delete the version in Commons and replace it with this one. I am hoping Dereckson's plan is to rename the file so it will silently slip into place replacing the one that someone moved to Commons a while back. - PKM (talk) 02:18, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Armorlogic logo.png[edit]

I've uploaded the logo while working on a new page which is available on my user page User:Ssehic/Armorlogic. Since non-free images can't be used on user pages, it can be deleted. Once I am done with the page (and move to main space), I'll upload the image again. Or, we could keep the image orphaned and link to it once I'm done with page. What do you think?

ssehic (talk) 07:17, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Actually in my opinion that logo is so simple it would pass as free and should be tagged with the {{PD-textlogo}} template but you should also add the {{trademark}} tag. ww2censor (talk) 15:27, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:This year of grace.jpg[edit]

Thank you for your note on my talk page. We seem to have two uploads of the same bill, only one of which is needed for the article. The one you mention can certainly be deleted. I'd do it myself, but I don't known how. Tim riley (talk) 07:57, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Esigodini.jpg[edit]

This file became orphaned due to an edit [1] (now reverted) to Esigodini which scrambled the code for the infobox where the image was displayed. Is it possible to undelete the image as I believe it met the relevant criteria? Babakathy (talk) 18:09, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you have a great day![edit]

Tagesthemen-smile.jpg[edit]

Hi, Skier Dude -- thanks for the message about Tagesthemen-smile.jpg. To be honest, I don't even remember uploading this, and don't remember what the image is or whether it was ever tied to an article. As it has now been deleted, I can't look at it to check. Can it be restored? Is it archived anywhere? I haven't been able to find it on my own computer. --Rhombus (talk) 09:05, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article Iranian Azeris[edit]

Dear Skier Dude

I would like to request your help looking at the Iranian Azeris article. I have been discussing the nuetrality of the article with a fellow editor but we seem to have gone no where. I have proposed creating a section in the article concerning the claims made upon the subject on the suppression of some cultural freedoms of azeri population of iran due to the excessive amount of them. I presented many sources for my argument ranging from UNHRC to the Parlimentary Assembly of European Council. But the editor has dismiss them. Can you please look in to this.

Thank you for your time. Regards, Tugrul Irmak Tugrulirmak (talk) 22:12, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned pic the bots have yet to pick up[edit]

Hi Skier Dude. A non-free image that I uploaded -- File:Penguin Paperback 1988 NadineGordimer JulysPeople Cover.jpg -- has been superceded by a first edition cover in the article July's People and is now orphaned, but the bots have yet to pick up on this. Could you possibly delete it? Thank you! --Shirt58 (talk) 09:07, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) I've tagged it as orphaned, so it will be deleted in due course. ww2censor (talk) 14:07, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Protection from vandalism[edit]

Hi, Skier Dude, just like the previous time when I asked you to protect Happy Feet 2 article from vandalism, now I want you to do that again. Please take a look at the Water for Elephants article and there you will see two of my reverting so far, but I think that I'll do it many more times, if you don't protect it. Also I think that the same editor doing all of this vandalism, but with different IP addresses, because he's always doing the same thing (these are IP addresses 79.157.3.149, 79.158.152.41 and 81.39.147.189). Please one again take a look and do something about that. Thank you.  InfamousPrince  12:56, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to have disappeared at this point - if this happens again, pop a note at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Skier Dude (talk) 02:38, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actom360[edit]

I am just noting that I've blanked the userpage of User:Actom360 as it seemed to have been copied from your own userpage and thus was causing people to ask him to provide copies of deleted articles. If it is you I apologize but it didn't seem like you'd have an alt account that has just a few edits and isn't declared on your main userpage. Soap 12:58, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for pointing out the image of NCEL logo being orphaned and non-free image. I had posted it for the article of National Commodity Exchange Limited, but since its name has been changed to Pakistan Mercantile Exchange, therefore, the logo has also been changed.

[edit]

Please go ahead and delete the file, as it has been replaced by a free logo on the article. You can take a look for yourself and see what you think. Thanks, Tyrol5 [Talk] 11:33, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Skier Dude. Please do delete. Thank you!--Shirt58 (talk) 09:33, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but...[edit]

re: this and your action to orphan the pic. A few moments of viewing the history would have shown the standard book template had been removed... along with the pic. I fixed. Fixed the pic tagging. Happy spring! // FrankB 21:57, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. Delete it I guess, but I'll leave you to make the decision. I uploaded it following a request from someone at the Village pump as I was having difficulties with editing through IE8 and they wanted to see a screenshot of what was happening. I've since resolved the issue, but have no idea whether the image should stay or go now. Basically it's a screenshot of a Wikipedia page, so I don't know what the rules are on that, and I wasn't sure at th time which licencing image to use. I think I basically followed the instructions for uploading a screenshot, but as I say, I'll leave the decision to you. Cheers TheRetroGuy (talk) 11:35, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Orphaned non-free image File:2010 obama logo.JPG[edit]

I made a mistake by uploading it before putting the licensed on. I was going to delete the image, and put up a new one that is corected and one that has a license. Thing is I don't think i can delete it, so if you can delete it I would like that. Thanks you Nhajivandi (talk) 13:07, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Destroyed loyalist BMP in Misrata.jpg[edit]

I managed to get a better image of the destroyed BMP from the rebel video which shows the whole vehicle, this one only shows the back of the vehicle. So delete it if you want. EkoGraf (talk) 13:47, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello skier dude,[edit]

The File:Foad-2.jpg can be deleted. Please do so. i am new to wikipedia and was not sure what to do with it. this photo is replaced with a newer one in related article.pishoo (talk) 01:10, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced this image in the article on the book, it was removed with no reason given, and i believe this is a common fair use practice to have the cover of a book in the article on the book. I will watch the article and if there is any further changes like this, ill ask the other editors to discuss it on the talk page. thanks for the heads up, i do support deleting images that are orphaned.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 16:40, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: File:St. Jude Medical Logo.jpg[edit]

I have re-linked this file to the St. Jude Medical article. It was replaced with this file by another user. However, the replacement logo violates St. Jude Medical brand guidelines (no white space) and is high resolution. The copyright instructions provided said to include a low resolution version to be constituted fair use.

Parsifal upload[edit]

Hi Skier Dude,

Thanks for the note about the Parsifal jpg upload, I actually own the original photo, but upon upload the photo seems distorted to the horizontal so I do not plan on using it. Please delete it at your earliest convenience. I need to go back to photoshop and see why the scan makes Melchior and Flagstad look so heavy. In the real photo they do not look that way. Thanks Leonard — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leonard6 (talkcontribs) 00:32, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Orphaned non-free image File:Psych Season 5 poster.jpg[edit]

Common practice is to update from promotional posters to DVD covers as shows are released to DVD. I fully expected the image to become orphaned. There's no need to wait until April 27 to delete File:Psych Season 5 poster.jpg...delete away. Author has nominated speedy deletion himself. KnownAlias contact 11:01, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
