Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Imagine (song) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://glee.wikia.com/wiki/Imagine. If the external link you inserted or changed was to an external Wiki, then please note that these links should generally not be included (see 'links to avoid' #12).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 09:28, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Cenote Angelita Mexico.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cenote Angelita Mexico.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:07, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Cenote Angelita Mexico.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! Michael Jackson

[edit]

Hello. As I say in the edit summary, Talk:Michael_Jackson/FAQ has some links regarding the denial, which specifically relates to this 2008 story from the British tabloids. ("The specific reports of a conversion ceremony for Jackson have been denied by his New York lawyer Londell McMillan. They were also denied by Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens and Dawud Wharnsby who were allegedly present at the ceremony.") --McGeddon (talk) 16:16, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Telegraph and Daily Mail articles are just reporting the existence of an article in The Sun, a somewhat trashy British tabloid which (sadly) isn't above making up quotes in order to sell papers. So far as I'm aware, this single article in The Sun is the only source for the story, and it quotes an anonymous confidant. So yes, "Jackson's lawyer told the New York Times that Jackson had not converted to Islam and specifically denied The Sun's story" seems more reliable than "an anonymous source told The Sun that Jackson had converted to Islam" when determining Jackson's religious beliefs, and this seems to have become the consensus on the Michael Jackson article. (You'll note that the Michael Jackson article on Wikipedia does not describe him as having converted to Islam.)
This has been discussed at length on the Jackson article's talk pages, if you want to take a look through the archives. If you want to restart the conversation, though, by all means do so at Talk:Michael Jackson - that's probably the best place to ensure that all references to Jackson's religion across Wikipedia are accurate. --McGeddon (talk) 16:56, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Leona Lewis and Avicii Collide.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Leona Lewis and Avicii Collide.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 06:31, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In plain English, this image is basically the face of Lewis, and free images of Lewis exist. We don't need a copyrighted image of a living people to say that Lewis appeared in the video. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 22:20, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I saw the video and there is no image that passes the WP:NFCC#1 rule. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 00:48, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In this case yes. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 02:52, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The status of alternate covers is strange on Wikipedia. As of right now, because it is only an "alternate" cover that has not been used yet on any CD or digital releases, it has no real purpose on the article. Jessie J did not say it was the single's cover on Facebook. She just uploaded it. Unless there is some sort of release that says "This is the new cover for 'Who You Are'," we should stick to the original cover.—Ryulong (竜龙) 09:34, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Lady Gaga Fashion.ogg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Lady Gaga Fashion.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 00:23, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited List of lost films, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Barbara Bedford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Tembak has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnotable school fails to satisfy the notability guidelines.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
