Your draft article, Draft:Island Air Service[edit]

Hello, Slowtationjet. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Island Air Service".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Bresson Airport moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Bresson Airport, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. this article was already reviewed yesterday – why the sudden change back to a draft? It does contain a number of reputable, well-known sources that are independent from the airport and discuss it in-depth.
I'm going through now to start finding additional sources for the article, so regardless of the outcome here, I'll be able to add additional information. I just wonder why this wasn't a problem earlier since it was already reviewed and presumably understood to be notable enough to keep being an article. Post-Air Airport moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Post-Air Airport, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Carguychris (talk) 19:11, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Having the separate page allows for more detailed discussion of the incident than a profile page, especially for someone like Trevor Jacob who is also notable for other reasons. There will naturally be info about the incident on Jacob's page, but having a page specifically for the incident allows for more liberty to expand the page as needed. The incident is also very well covered, including by a wide range of very-well-known national news organizations, suggesting that the event is particularly notable even outside of aviation and is worth more than just a subsection on another page. While it is currently covered on the Trevor Jacob page, having the personal page for someone who is separately notable risks letting this incident completely taking over the page of someone who might still have potential for further notable action, so having a separate page allows for information about this crash to be expanded upon in a dedicated space. Since it's currently only Jun 10, 2023, and the source you cited does not say when the grant would be received, I think you might want to rephrase your assertion to something like, "The airport is expected to receive a $5 million grant..." June 2023[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Cuyahoga County Airport. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. This is slightly rephrased, but it's way too closely paraphrased to not be attributed. Please also attribute the original source if you're going to paraphrase a PD source (which is somewhere in this database and I have no idea what I'm doing so it may take a bit to get the right declaration on the page). as an honest question: unless doing so just slipped my mind, I believe I cited the sources I used for that edit. I've used the same website in sources before; why has this not come up yet and is there anything different I did in this edit that makes the public domain attribution necessary? Slowtationjet (talk) 20:15, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In the future, please add attribution when copying from public domain sources: simply add the template {{PD-notice}} after your citation. I have done so for Cambridge Municipal Airport (Ohio). Please do this in the future so that our readers will be aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself, and that it's okay to copy verbatim.
