Disambiguation link notification for December 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Khobar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British school (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Question[edit]

Hello,

Thank you very much for the prompt review. However, I would like to draw you attention that I have used information form independent sourcrs as you can see in the reference section. Accordingly, I don’t understand why the paje has been declined this time as well? Would you please explain this for me?

Regards Smny2018 (talk) 21:29, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Smny2018. Sorry for the lack of reply. If you want Theroadislong to reply to you, you need to ping, like this: {{u|Theroadislong}}, which gives Theroadislong. I think Theroadislong probably meant that sources run or controlled by the Saudi government are not independent for discussing an event put on by the Saudi government. It's like me saying that an annual party I throw is really great and not at all noisy. Maybe it is, but I am not an independent judge. HLHJ (talk) 06:33, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, The Saudi , the National Center for Performance Measurement (ADAA), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Tariq Abdulhakeem moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Tariq Abdulhakeem, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources.

Currently almost everything of importance in the text is unsourced and should technically be removed. Please provide references for this material, otherwise it will not be allowed to remain in the article. And without it, there is hardly anything left to make an article.

I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Thanks for creating The National Anti-Corruption Comission (Nazaha)! I edit here too, under the username Doomsdayer520 and it's nice to meet you :-)

Thank you for your new article on The National Anti-Corruption Comission (Nazaha). Note that the article is currently an "orphan", meaning that no other Wikipedia articles link TO it. This makes the article tough to find for interested readers. See WP:DE-ORPHAN for pointers.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Doomsdayer520}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Notice

The article Saudi Human Resources Development Fund has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A tad promotional, notability not established

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Talk page explanation[edit]

Hello, I'm BlackcurrantTea. Thanks for your work creating and improving articles about Saudi Arabia! I noticed that on your talk page, when you reply to people you start a new section. You don't need to do that. Instead, simply put a colon (:) at the very beginning of your comment. This will indent it, and make it clear that it's a reply to the post immediately above yours. If there are already several comments and replies, add one more colon to the number attached to the comment you're replying to. This works on user talk pages, article talk pages, and Wikipedia "project" pages like the Village pump.

The conversation will come out looking something like this (normally you don't see the colons; I added extra code so it would be clearer):

Editor A posts something.

:Editor B replies to editor A.
:Editor C replies to editor A.
::Editor A replies directly to editor C.
:::Editor C answers them.
::Editor B replies to editor C.
:Editor D replies to editor A.

It may seem as though there are a million things to remember here - I remember it was a bit overwhelming when I started out. I can assure you it gets easier, and you're already well on your way. Happy editing! BlackcurrantTea (talk) 09:26, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

thank you BlackcurrantTea. I think that I understand your comment. I am always happy to receive such an advice :)

Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline[edit]

It occurred to me that this may apply to you. Please take the time to read it carefully. Note that if you're being paid for editing Wikipedia, you must disclose this fact. Thanks, BlackcurrantTea (talk) 09:39, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Smny2018. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 09:39, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

thanks. I am aware of this protocol. However, I am interested about issues related to Saudi Arabia and the Arab region in general and, thus, I enjoy enriching Wikipedia with such related topics.

Regards,

Ok. Sometimes editors who focus on a specific subject or area are being paid to do so, and they aren't always aware of all our guidelines and policies (there are rather a lot of them!). As long as you're aware of it, and know that if you ever do edit for compensation (whether money or another kind) that you'll need to declare it, that's fine.

Wikipedia's coverage of non-Western topics is far from complete, and I appreciate your work on articles about the region. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. You can get my attention (or 'ping' me) by putting {{u|BlackcurrantTea}} in your message and signing it with four tildes (~~~~). Talk page posts should always be signed this way; it automatically adds a signature with your username and a datestamp. Thanks, and happy editing! You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Minor edits[edit]

Hi again, Smny2018! Sorry for plaguing you with advice. I'm afraid that this edit was not a "minor edit", in the special sense we use on Wikipedia (see link). Actually, even this edit isn't. This is a minor edit; you are just fixing a formatting error, not changing the content. Adding a wikilink isn't a minor edit, but you can use the shorthand edit comment "wl Ramadan". Sorry, there's a ridiculous number of customs and jargon words here. HLHJ (talk) 06:49, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Riyadh International Book Fair[edit]

On 2 April 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Riyadh International Book Fair, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was publishers have had their pre-approved books confiscated, or their stalls dismantled overnight, during the Riyadh International Book Fair? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Riyadh International Book Fair. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Riyadh International Book Fair), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000.
