Seriously

Does ever member of As I Lay Dying and Lamb of God need a wiki article? --Łoshɢooþii talk 00:45, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

I fixed As I Lay Dying. A lot of the band didn't meet WP:MUSICBIO so I merged them. I'm working on doing the same for Lamb of God. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 00:12, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Jennifer's Body -- Wikipedia is not censored

Hello, Krazycev13. In regards to this, I know that Wikipedia is not censored (which is why I left Fox's curse words uncensored), but the source is the one that censored Seyfried's comment. You are saying that even though the source censors it, we should not? Flyer22 (talk) 17:46, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Actually, yes. The rules says not to include "*" or "-" to censor swear words. I don't fully agree with it, but that's the rule. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 00:04, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for replying. Flyer22 (talk) 20:25, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

thanks for the help, they dont post on it much but i still thought i should add it, i am editing a few other things on that page too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gart99 (talkcontribs) 21:31, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Dead Rising

This edit was not vandalism as you thought. Check the citation. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 00:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Seriously, that thing wasn't even vandalism without the source. -- GunMetal Angel 17:36, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Ok, the last time it was added, there wasn't a source. I didn't fully read it. Thanks for pointing it out Jade, and there isn't any need to be rude, Gunmetal. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 20:47, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

I wasn't being rude, bro. But more of just asking what's up. -- GunMetal Angel 21:20, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

You'd be surprised at what you run into. I thought someone was writing their fantasies on the page. I don't know. I guess I acted without fully thinking it through. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 23:32, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean; I mean sometimes you misread things without fully thinking about if it is a possibility or not; because honestly I can't blame you after seeing the line "He is able to be selected as a character in the online multiplayer after achieving level 100." Lol, seriously! • GunMetal Angel 03:08, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Dib pointing.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Dib pointing.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 18:52, 10 June 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:52, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Attack Attack!

Not trying to put weight onto you, bro. But can you not change genres? Like how you did to Attack Attack!'s articles with the whole "electronica" to "electronicore" thing? I'm pretty sure "eletronicore" isn't even a genre. • GunMetal Angel 02:32, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

The only reason I did that is because the genre appeared on their albums, so I found it appropriate to add it to their page. Also, "electronicore" is "electronic hardcore." --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 15:37, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
All I'm saying it that "electronica" is sourced, "eletronicore" isn't. But anyway, I'm not aiming to make a big dilemma for this awesome band, haha. • GunMetal Angel 23:43, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

The article DJ Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

"Side project" of Caleb Shomo, who is not considered independently notable (AfD), so by extension DJ Club is not notable either. Certainly, none of the refs seem to establish otherwise.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I42 (talk) 06:59, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of PMtoday

A tag has been placed on PMtoday requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 23:53, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

The article PMtoday has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Band does not meet notability standards. Signing to a well-known indie is not enough -- there are no charted songs or albums, and scant coverage by reliable sources. Just not enough here (yet).

- Realkyhick (Talk to me) 02:29, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

I have a hard time seeing where on earth you get that this band meets five criteria. It may meet one only, that of having two or more albums on a recognized indie label. And even that is not verifiable from reliable sources. The vast majority of references you have provided are either from their Myspace page (see this page) or from Rise. There simply doesn't seem to be enoug independent, verifiable recognition of this band. I'll admit this is a borderline case, but I still don't think this band is notable enough (yet). - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 02:55, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
Understood. Again, this band barely meets that criterion, and even that hinges on whether the label is considered a significant indie for Wikipedia purposes. Because this is a borderline case, I'm waiting to take any more action regarding deletion, so that you or others can add more references from reliable sources to bolster the band's argument for notability. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 15:52, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Agraceful repost

You just tweaked the wikicode a bit. You didn't add any sources or add any additional assertion or proof of notability; in order words, you did nothing to dispel the concerns raised at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agraceful (2nd nomination). I've deleted it per G4. If you think it should not have been deleted in the first instance because of WP:BAND criterion #6, that is an issue for WP:DRV. –xenotalk 15:58, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

My mistake. I could've sworn that, if it were to meet criterion 6, which it now does if I'm not mistaken, it would be fine to keep. But I'm not sure how DRV works. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 16:04, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
No... If it hadn't met criterion #6 before the deletion, then there may be an argument for re-inserting with the WP:BAND#6 assertion of notability. But it met criterion #6 at the time of deletion, but this apparently didn't compel any of those in the deletion discussion (at least one of whom is well-versed in music articles and deletion of the same) to opine 'keep'. As such, a DRV would be required to restore the article in the present state. The concerns raised in the deletion were a lack of reliable sources independent of the subject. You would need to provide an article that addressed that concern to avoid G4. DRV is available if you think it should be restored per WP:BAND#6. –xenotalk 16:10, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Also, the band is played on RadioU frequently, which was discussed in their first AfD. The RadioU website no longer displays them as being in rotation, although, at the time of their original creation, the band was listed at the link above. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 16:09, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

As the nominator, I don't think you should have closed that AFD when there were still unstruck delete votes. In any case, G4 applies, so please go to DRV unless you can create an article that would work around G4. –xenotalk 16:12, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I realized that mistake too late. That was my biggest blunder since I've been on this site. And I'll figure DRV out I suppose. Thanks for the help, as always. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 16:15, 5 August 2010 (UTC) EDIT AS OF 16:23, 5 August 2010 (UTC): I managed to list the page in DRV now, and am simply waiting for a response. Thank you again. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13

And also, out of curiosity, how did it manage to meet criterion #6? I only recently made Chris Roetter's page, and I made Romance on a Rocketship/Kasey Smith today. Not trying to sound rude, I'm just a bit confused. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 16:17, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Hm... Good point. #6 actually changed recently, but before the deletion discussion. So iff Chris Roetter and Romance on a Rocketship are (now) notable, then I suppose Agraceful might have a claim to WP:BAND #6. But it looks like all these different ensembles picking themselves up by the bootstraps into WP:BAND #6 (circular logic: ROAR is notable because he was in notable Agraceful, Agraceful is notable because it contained a member now in notable ROAR). One domino will topple the rest... –xenotalk 16:24, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I see the possible issue, but consider ROAR was also in Here I Come Falling, therefore making him in two bands and having a solo project. Would that technically make him notable? --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 16:27, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
The root of the problem is that WP:BAND still only says "may be notable" and the deletion discussion appears to have decided otherwise based on the lack of reliable sourcing. Since there is still no reliable sourcing, G4 still applies. I still think it needs to go to DRV if it is to come back based on WP:BAND#6. –xenotalk 16:32, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Since the existence or lack thereof of Agraceful contributes to the WP:BAND #6 assertion of notability for ROAR, I've declined the A7 speedy tag of that article for now. I've sought advice from TenPoundHammer (talk · contribs), since he is better versed in these things than I am. –xenotalk 16:38, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I appreciate it. And I guess I/we will have to just wait for input on my DRV request now. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 17:08, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
DRV closed, now at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agraceful (3rd nomination). –xenotalk 18:07, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Re: I've noticed something interesting

ohhh dude I didn't know Second & Sebring was yours =/ I just nom deletion if I feel it's right. And yeshhh I support you, I support anyone who likes Attack Attack!. =D ʎɐʍɥbıɥɹɯ (ʇ/ɔ/6) 16:55, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Piece of Mind (Agraceful album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

Hey

Have you checked out Woe, Is Me? • GunMetal Angel 00:44, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

The band "(band)" at the end of the title is unessesary, the comma already distinguishes it from any other possible tite that would have "Woe Is Me" as its name. So move the page right when you get this. • GunMetal Angel 02:28, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

TWA

Just wanna say thanks for your help, espicially in creating articles for their albums. It was something that really needed to be done and well you filled-in the blanks for the sake of this amazing band finally having an article on here. =) • GunMetal Angel 06:23, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

No problem man. I just figured I'd create those since I do a lot of work making album articles and that's about it haha. So I just used my spare time yesterday. And the funny thing is, I'm the reason they didn't have an article for so long. It existed, and I nominated it for A7 and it was deleted. Then repeatedly recreated haha. Glad to help (: --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 12:00, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

My bad man. You don't need to credit yourself in the article, as that is taken as promotion. However, I see you gave yourself due credit on the file page itself, and that was correct. Sorry for the mistake. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 11:03, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Help!

Hey Kevan, this is HeyJohnWhatsYourNameAgain (I'm just not logged in :P) Help!!!! The This Is a Family Tour article might be deleted! Help me here! 99.167.106.188 (talk) 20:34, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Please discuss notability rather than indiscriminately reposting deleted pages for probably non-notable Abandon All Ships singles

Please do not undo redirects for individual Abandon All Ships singles as you did for Take One Last Breath unless you have additional constructive comments for the general notability of this song/single. 134.134.137.71 (talk) 17:52, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Again, please do not undo redirects for individual bandon All Ships singles as you did for Take One Last Breath unless you have additional constructive comments for the general notability of this song/single. "Charted on the radio" is a meaningless phrase. Please read WP:MUSIC carefully before citing notability.

"Most songs[note 5] do not rise to notability for an independent article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist who prominently performed the song. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been independently released as a recording by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable."

Please provide specifics and citations relevant to the above before replacing the page. 134.134.139.72 (talk) 23:44, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Please refrain from reverting edits without providing meaningful constructive input to the notability of the "Take One Last Breath" single page. Three separate editors have agreed that the page is not notable and should be merged with the (questionably notable) album page. That's three to one, meaning that consensus is on the side of merging the page with the main page. I am resetting the redirect and expecting that you will make a meaningful attempt to establish notability before mindlessly reverting the page. Any attempt to revert the page without adding any commentary to the corresponding talk page will be taken as an effort in bad faith.

Note also that if you are associated personally or professionally with the band in question that you should refrain from making edits to establish independent notability. 134.134.139.70 (talk) 15:16, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Progress

Nice job with the recent reverts for the Attack Attack! articles. The This Is a Family Tour may need to be re-created if it's major or gets big enough, give me a ring if you need some help with re-assemble. Oh and PS: if you wanna hear something pretty heavy that I'm also certain that you haven't heard yet, look up this band named Did You Mean Australia?. -- GunMetal Angel 19:54, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: The Irony of Your Perfection

Hello Krazycev13. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of The Irony of Your Perfection, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A9 doesn't apply, band's article exists. Take to AfD if required. Thank you. GedUK  20:43, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
