February 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm NZ Footballs Conscience. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Melissa Benoist, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. An extended welcome[edit]

Hi Solidaires2. Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.

Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Ronz (talk) 20:58, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicelebs.com as a source[edit]

Hi Solidaires2. I noticed that you recently used ethnicelebs.com as a source for information in a biography article. Please note that there is general consensus that ethnicelebs.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. (See User_talk:XLinkBot/RevertList#EthniCelebs.com). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 22:07, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi , The source to the origin of the surname is in a video where she stated that the original French pronunciation is French, but her family pronounce it the American way . Unfortunately I can't share the link, do copy rights. You may look it up on James Corden.

Video is no help[edit]

Why the video is of no help ? It confirm that the origin of the surname is French, which is obvious. Solidaires2 (talk) 08:17, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding biographical information with poor sources.
The video simply does not verify the content. You've found many unreliable sources in your attempts to add the information. Rather than continuing in this manner, please discuss it on the article talk page. --Ronz (talk) 15:50, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
