Charles Thun[edit]

Unfortunatly I have deleted your article about Charles Thun. Wikipedia has a policy of not allowing non-notable biography pages. Please read Wikipedia:Notability (people) for a general guide on what is deemed notable for inclusion. If you feel that the subject of the article is notable enough to be included please let me know on my talk page and the page can be un-deleted. Alternatively if the page is about yourself I could place the information on your user page User:Spotthatby210. Also the images you uploaded as part of the article have been marked as missing copyright information, this will lead to them being deleted in one week if it is not rectified. Please ask me if you have any questions. --Martyman-(talk) 01:53, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Continuing to recreate the article is not appropriate behaviour and may lead to your being blocked from editing the wikipedia. Please stop and discuss your actions. --Martyman-(talk) 02:02, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop continuing to recreate this article will lead to your being blocked from editing wikipedia. If you wish it to be recreated you should either contact me or apply at Wikipedia:Deletion review. --Martyman-(talk) 02:08, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is not a matter of whether the information is correct. It both has to be worthy of a page on wikipedia and be indepednently verifiable from published sources for it to remain on wikipedia. I have asked for advice from other admins, that will likely lead to the page being deleted again. Please read Wikipedia:Notability (people) again and tell us why you think this person passes wikipedia's notability guidelines. --Martyman-(talk) 02:22, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are not addressing the actual problems of having the page here. It does not meet wikipedia's guidelines for notability and it is not verifiable through other sources which breaks wikipedia's rules on primary research. If every "nice person" in the world had a page here it would be out of control. --Martyman-(talk) 02:35, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Threats of continued vandalism is not the correct way to get a page kept. It will lead to people being blocked from editing wikipedia. --Martyman-(talk) 02:41, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS. If he is an avid member of wikipedia what is his account name? I wonder what he thinks about this? --Martyman-(talk) 02:43, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the page and protected it against recreation. If you make any more disruptive edits you will be blocked. As Martyman told you, the proper place to take a disputed deletion is Wikipedia:Deletion review. You are more than welcome to list this page there and ask for others to review it, but you may not recreate it again. Chick Bowen 04:48, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:10206741_l.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:10206741_l.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
